BLOCK B & C THIRD ROUND MATCHES


The third round of block B matches began with Claudio Castagnoli taking on Spike Trivet. The match went for about ten minutes which Castagnoli dominated. But in the end Trivet kicked his opponent in the gut and hit a Cradle Piledriver for the pin.

Next Alexander Hammerstone faced Blake Christian and dominated the match. He put Christian down for the count with the Axe of Alexander (Nightmare Pendulum.

After that Y2J Chris Jericho took on Limitless Keith Lee and it saw the former gain control for the first part of this match. Then Lee hit a trifecta of a Pounce, a Big Bang Catastrophe and finally a Spirit Bomb for the pin.

Then the last match before the intermission saw John Cena take on the “Ace” Hiroshi Tanahashi. The two men tore the house down in this first time encounter between them. It could have gone either way but in the end Tanahashi took Cena down with a Sling Blade and then climbed up to the top rope and hit the High Fly Flow for the pin

INTERMISSION


Back from the intermission, Randy Orton and Finn Balor went to war with each other. The ending of the match saw Orton set up his opponent for an RKO only for Balor to counter it into an inverted Bloody Sunday. He then dragged him up and hit a regular version of his Bloody Sunday for the pin.

Next Kazuchika Okada took on Cody Rhodes in a thrilling contest that lasted about fifteen minutes. The ending saw Rhodes get Okada in position for and attempt the Cross Rhodes but the latter fought out of it. From here Okada laid Rhodes out with a clothesline and then dragged him and hit the Rainmaker for the pin.

The penultimate match saw Zack Sabre Jr take on Tetsuya Naito. It went for fourteen minutes and concluded with Naito putting his opponent down with the Destino.


Finally the “Aerial Assassin” Will Ospreay closed the night out with a victory over the “Norfolk Nobleman” Nick Aldis. Thanks to a combination of the Stormbreaker and the Hidden Blade.

BLOCK D THIRD ROUND & BLOCK A FOURTH ROUND MATCHES

The third round of Block D matches started with Edge versus Brock Lesnar. Which saw the “Rated R Superstar '' pin the “Beast Incarnate '' with the Educution.

Next Jeff Cobb squared off with Jay White in a match that went sixteen minutes. White managed to fight out of an attempted Tour of the Islands and landed on his feet and then hit the Blade Runner for the pin.

Then Kenny Omega took on Shinsuke Nakamura in a match that lasted twenty minutes and it ended in a double pin situation.

After that Jon Moxley and Steve Maclin went to war in the last match before the intermission. In a truly shocking conclusion Maclin scored his first win of the tournament after pinning Moxley following Mayhem for All off the top rope.


INTERMISSION


The first match back from intermission saw Sanada take on Carmelo Hayes. It lasted nine minutes and saw Hayes get the pin Sanada following an Argentine DDT that commentary called Melo Manifesto.

Next El Hijo Del Vikingo versus MJF took place and it looked like the latter would use rule bending to earn himself another victory.

However Vikingo had other ideas and put the loudmouth down with a Springboard Poison Rana.

After that Seth Rollins and Alex Shelly tore the house down and wrestled to a time limit draw. As a result each man gets one point so that means Rollins is at five and Shelly is now at 3.


Finally the main event saw the “Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns face the “Phenomenal” AJ Styles in the main event. It went for twenty one minutes and it saw Styles pin Reigns with the Styles Clash.

BLOCK B & C FOURTH ROUND MATCHES


The fourth round of Block B matches started with Claudio Castagnoli taking on Chris Jericho. The match went for about twenty two minutes and in the end it saw Jericho get the win with a Codebreaker.

Next Alexander Hammerstone and John Cena squared off in a match that went for about nineteen minutes. In the end Cena got the win after forcing Hammerstone to pass out in the Attitude Adjustment 2.0 FKA the STF.

Then Blake Christian took on Hiroshi Tanahashi. It went for eight minutes and it saw the latter get the win with the High Fly Flow.


After that Spike Trivet fell to “Limitless” Keith Lee after a Spirit Bomb around the fourteen minute mark.

INTERMISSION


Back from intermission, Randy Orton faced Zack Sabre Jr, it lasted fifteen minutes. It ended with Sabre submitting Orton with an Octopus Stretch after he blocked an attempted RKO.

Next, Finn Balor took on Tetsuya Naito and it lasted eleven minutes. The conclusion came about when Balor sent Naito rocketing backwards into one of the corners with a Shotgun Dropkick. As Naito fell face down out of the corner, Balor climbed up to the top rope and delivered a Coup De Grace to the back of his opponent for the pin.

After that the “Rainmaker” aka Kazuchika Okada shared the squared circle with the “Aerial Assassin” aka Will Ospreay. It ended in a time limit draw as the match reached the half an hour time limit, as a result each man earned a single point.


Finally the main event of the evening saw Cody Rhodes versus Nick Aldis III. The match lasted twenty two minutes and it saw Aldis get the win by way of a Running Powerslam and then followed it up with a Diving Elbow Drop for the pin.

BLOCK D & BLOCK A FOURTH & FIFTH ROUND MATCHES


The fourth round of Block D matches commenced with a clash of canadians as Edge went one on one with Kenny Omega for the first time ever. In the end it would be the “Rated R Superstar '' aka Edge who got the win after rolling Omega up and then transitioned that into the Edgeucator and the latter tapped out.

Next “Switchblade” V “Purveyor of Punishment” took place and saw Jon Moxley fight out of an attempted Blade Runner from Jay White. Then kick him in the gut and attempt and successfully hit the Paradigm Shift for the pin.

After that Jeff Cobb stepped into the ring with the “Mercenary” Steve Maclin. The latter trapped his opponent in one of the corners of the ring and put him in the tree of woe position, then proceeded to hit Caught in the Crosshairs. Maclin followed this up by dragging his opponent up and hit Mayhem for All for the pin.

The last match before the intermission was Brock Lesnar V Shinsuke Nakamura. It lasted about fifteen minutes and saw the “King of Strong Style” (Nakamura) get the pin following a Kinshasa off the top rope.

INTERMISSION

Back from intermission Sanada submitted MJF with his trademark Skull End hold in a back and forth ten minute match.

Next Alex Shelly beat El Hijo Del Vikingo in a thrilling fifteen minute match by way of pinfall.

Then Seth Rollins and AJ Styles tore the house down in one hell of a penultimate match. It could have gone either way but the end of the match saw Rollins victorious. He did this by hitting a Pedigree on his opponent and then dragged him to one of the corners and then climbed up to the second rope. And attempted and successfully hit a Curb Stomp from the middle rope for the pin.


Finally the show closed out with Roman Reigns versus Carmelo Hayes. It would take back to back Spears and then Hayes passed out in the Guillotine Choke.
