Newswire! Including a couple of matches for the SoTF being announced.

September 18th: It doesn't get any bigger than this weekend. Tomorrow (Friday) will see ROH tape PPV #9 when it returns to Boston at the Case Gym on the beautiful Boston University Campus on 285 Babcock Street with a zip code of 02215. Then on Saturday ROH returns to Philadelphia, but this time the show will be at the historic New Alhambra/former ECW Arena on 7 Ritner Street with a zip code of 19148. Belltime for both nights is 8pm and tickets will be available at the door in both Boston and Philadelphia. It looks to be a very tough weekend for ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness. He will defend the title in Boston against Roderick Strong, who has come close to winning the World Title in the past. Strong is a definite threat to the title. The winner of McGuinness vs. Strong in Boston will immediately put the title on the line in Philly against El Generico, who is one of the most popular athletes in ROH. Generico's high-flying, innovative offense can defeat anyone at anytime. He showed a lot of heart in taking McGuinness to the limit last month in Cleveland. Generico is very capable of scoring the upset in Philadelphia. Get your tickets at the door in both Philly and Boston and see if McGuinness can continue his momentum as ROH World Champion.

September 18th: Put September 26th down on your calendar because that is the premiere of the ROH "New Horizons" pay-per-view on iN DEMAND, The DISH Network and TVN cable systems. September 26th is the date to see the Bryan Danielson vs. Tyler Black bout everyone will be talking about. If you liked the final five minutes of the last ROH PPV, you need to see this bout on September 26th. Check your local listings for all the details.

September 18th: We now have the official word that new GHC Jr. Heavyweight Champion Bryan Danielson will put the title on the line this Saturday in Philadelphia against Katsuhiko Nakajima. It was an emotional moment when Danielson won the championship last Sunday in Tokyo. Now he is ready to take on one of Japan's hardest kickers. In fact, many consider Nakajima the hardest kicker in all of wrestling. Can Nakajima realize his potential and gain the biggest win of his career in Philadelphia?

September 18th: Kensuke Sasaki and Katsuhiko Nakajima will be available for autographs on Saturday in Philly. Autograph tickets will be sold at the show.

September 18th: The new ROH Video Wire is now up at www.ROHvideos.com and you can watch it for FREE. Check out the Daizee Haze video. You might love it or you might hate it, but you need to hear what she is saying. The ROH Video Wire also shows Delirious joining The Age Of The Fall and the wild ending to the last Chicago event. The best part is that it's FREE at ROHvideos.com or on rohvideos.com at: http://www.rohvideos.com/watch?v=zJaX4eq4vBQ

September 22nd: Another main event quality bout has been added to the Orlando event on 10/11. Roderick Strong and Davey Richards finally collided earlier this month in Japan. The result was a grueling 25 minute hard-hitting battle that either man could have won. Now the rematch is coming to Orlando. September 22nd: Adam Pearce defeated Brent Albright to capture the NWA World Heavyweight Championship last Saturday when ROH presented "Glory By Honor VII" in Philadelphia in a very competitive match. The win now gives Sweet & Sour Inc. more leverage as they control the NWA World Heavyweight Title and the FIP World Heavyweight Title held by Go Shiozaki. Super agent Larry Sweeney is starting to flex his muscle and has sent several demands and warnings to the ROH offices. We'll have more on this soon.

Bad news for Orlando!

The 10/10 Coral Springs and 10/11 Orlando events have been postponed and will be rescheduled for early 2009. All tickets purchased for these events will be honored on the new dates. We hope to have a new dates announced next week. Sorry for any inconvenience. Thank you for your support. There's no word yet on the 10/12 Full Impact Pro event scheduled for that weekend that would have featured some of the same talents. I believe, but do not have confirmed, that light pre-sales for the ROH shows led to the postponement.

pretty bad news for the fans, that's the first show that's been cancelled in a long time probably. it's kind of disappointing that there was no confirmed reason from Gabe or Cary, fans must be pissed.

and if they're dropping FLA because of this, I still have my fingers crossed for Honor to return to Long Island, or Queens.

I was kinda hoping for a Detroit show. Our last show was July, and the next scheduled is like Jan. 30th. Maybe a DET/NY Weekend??

The Four Way Iron Tag should be a little longer than 30 imo. I think 45 would be a good range for all the wrestlers to get a nice flow going.

-This is the all new no hype ROHwrestling.com Newswire. We know you are tired about hearing how "big" matches are or how "huge" the card will be. All this empty hype looks the same after a while. Now, we are just going to present the news to you and then let you form your own opinions without any hype central type stuff. Ok, some hype might slip in just because we get excited, but the ROHwrestling.com Newswire will be 99% hype free now.

-The card for 10/24 in Danbury, CT is really taking shape now. Just signed is Go Shiozaki vs. Austin Aries and if Shiozaki is still FIP World Heavyweight Champion the belt will be on the line. A grudge match has also just been signed. It will pit Jimmy Jacobs vs. The Necro Butcher. These two bouts join the first ever Iron Team Match pitting Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin vs. Jay & Mark Briscoe vs. Davey Richards & Chris Hero vs. ROH World Tag Team Champions Kevin Steen & El Generico. If you have The DISH Network you can see it on DISH's All Day Ticket today, tomorrow, Wednesday and Friday. Here is what Dave Meltzer wrote about the PPV in the October 1st Wrestling Observer Newsletter: "This show delivers two hours of good to excellent wrestling in front of the hottest PPV crowd in a long time. They are crazy into every match, from the Briscoe Brothers squash match in the opener, to the strong ROH title match with Nigel McGuinness (vs.) Claudio Castagnoli, and in particular, the masterpiece of the event with Danielson and Black."

-The Big 10 Sale is now on at www.ROHwrestling.com with over 120 ROH DVDs for only $10 each, $10 tickets to several upcoming shows and 10% off your entire order. -We are sorry to report that the 10/10 & 10/11 Florida events are postponed. We will announce the make up date in the near future. We apologize for any inconvenience, but this was ROH's only option at this time. All tickets for 10/10 & 10/11 will be honored at the next Florida events TBA soon. We hope you understand and we promise to make it up to you in the future.

-The scheduled 10/12 FIP event will now be on Saturday, October 11th in Crystal River, FL. -ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness' title reign has now passed the one year mark. For more on this incredible achievement check out this article from the main page of ROHwrestling.com: http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/article.aspx?id=2310

-The ROH events originally scheduled for this weekend in Florida have been postponed and will now take place on 2/6 in Coral Springs and 2/7 in Orlando. Tickets for the postponed events will be honored in February. There is still a big show this Saturday in Florida. FIP will return to action this Saturday in Crystal River, FL. There is nothing like FIP in Crystal River. The lineup has: Go Shiozaki vs. Roderick Strong for the FIP World Heavyweight Title; Kenny King & Jason Blade vs. Jay & Mark Briscoe for the FIP Tag Team Titles; MsChif vs. Rain for the SHIMMER Title; Tyler Black vs. Erick Stevens in a #1 Contender's Match To the FIP Title; plus many others. Check www.FullImpactPro.com for info.

-Several matches have been signed for the 10/25 event in Edison, NJ. Tickets are now 25-30% off at ROHwrestling.com. The card will see a mix of new and returning talent. Of course, you already know that Homicide will finally return to ROH when he teams with his regular partner Hernandez to take on Jay & Mark Briscoe in a tag team dream match. This will be one of several tag bouts in Edison.

-ROH is looking to increase the competition in its tag division and will give two new teams a shot to do or die in Edison, NJ. ROH World Tag Team Champions Kevin Steen & El Generico will be a non-title match against The Osirian Portal. A team from The Age Of The Fall will be faced with Cheech & Cloudy. The duos of both The Osirian Portal and Cheech & Cloudy have a high-flying, innovative style. 10/25 in Edison will see if they do or die against ROH's most established teams.

-Tyler Black will not be on the The Age Of The Fall team against Cheech & Cloudy in Edison. It is because Jerry Lynn has now found himself without an opponent on 10/25 (we'll get to that in a minute). 10/25 in Edison, NJ will now have Black vs. Lynn.

-Davey Richards, Lynn's original opponent for 10/25, has been pulled out of his scheduled match on 10/25 by his agent Larry Sweeney. Due to Sweeney's negotiations, Richards will now face off with Brent Albright in Edison. The Albright vs. Sweet & Sour Inc. feud will continue on 10/25 in this first time ever match.

-The main event matches for 11/7 in Montreal and 11/8 in Toronto have been signed. "Death Before Dishonor VI" last August in Manhattan featured a Four Way Elimination Match for the World Title. ROH officials were so happy with how this match went that they have signed another to be the main event of 11/7 in Montreal. This one will feature four current champions, but only the ROH World Title will be on the line. 11/7 in Montreal will see ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness vs. FIP World Heavyweight Champion Go Shiozaki vs. ROH World Tag Team Champion Kevin Steen vs. ROH World Tag Team Champion El Generico in an Elimination Match. There are lots of questions in this one. We'll have much more on it in the upcoming weeks. Save 20-25% on tickets starting later today at ROHwrestling.com.

-A rematch of the "Respect Is Earned II" pay-per-view main event will take place on 11/7 in Montreal. It will have Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black vs. Bryan Danielson & Austin Aries with the winners challenging for the ROH World Tag Team Titles on 11/21 in Dayton, OH. Check the main page of ROHwrestling.com for an article called "I Have An Idea" for all the information on why this match is taking place.

-A grudge match has also been signed for 11/7 in Montreal. It will pit Roderick Strong vs. Davey Richards. These two recently battled for almost 25 minutes in Japan. Now the feud between these former No Remorse Corps partners comes to Canada.

-Jerry Lynn has been added to both the 11/7 Montreal and 11/8 Toronto events.

-We will help you beat the tough economy with even more savings at ROHwrestling.com. Everything at www.ROHwrestling.com will be 20-25% off starting later today. This includes over 1000 items including live event tickets to all upcoming ROH shows and the latest from ROH, WWE, SHIMMER, TNA, FIP, NOAH, Dragon Gate and many other promotions. - October 29th: ROH officials are happy to announce a working relationship with the IWS promotion (www.syndicatewrestling.com). To that end, on November 7 in Montreal, ROH is happy to welcome the talents of Dan Paysan, Exess, Stupefied, and the Green Phantom! We look forward to seeing these four men in action in Montreal!

- We have another grudge match to announce for Montreal. Sweet-n-Sour's Eddie Edwards will oppose the man who has continually shunned the advances of Larry Sweeney, Erick Stevens! Sweeney has made it a priority to teach Stevens a lesson, and Edwards claims he's up to the task. "People think I have no personality," quipped Edwards. "But what do these idiot fans expect? I get paid for one thing – my wrestling skill. And it's deadly! That's right, I'm deadly. Silent but deadly."

- Speaking of Sweet-n-Sour, Go Shiozaki has been training non-stop with Hall of Famer and former NWA Champion, Harley Race, for his shot at Nigel McGuinness and the ROH World Title in Montreal. Larry Sweeney has intercepted all attempts to speak with Shiozaki, maintaining that "Go has two distinct agendas: Winning titles and taking out our enemies. In both Montreal and Toronto he'll do just that. Talking to any of you ham-and-eggers is not a priority."

- We're happy to announce that Brent Albright returns to action in Dayton on November 21! While his opponent is yet unknown, Albright has made one thing clear: He wants Sweet-n-Sour at any cost. "Bring me anyone managed by that Yellow-haired-Blue-Toothed-Cheap-Suit-Mush-Mouth. It started with Pearce, but I suppose he's off pushing paper somewhere. Everyone knows what I want. I want them all in the cage at Final Battle!" As this went to press, ROH has yet to receive any response to Albright's challenge for Final Battle. More to come.

- Don't miss your last chance at the Big Ten Sale which ends on Friday morning at 9am EST. Included in the sale is over 100 Ring of Honor DVD's priced at $10 each. You can also get general admission tickets to events in Montreal, Toronto, Dayton, Chicago Ridge, St. Louis, and Nashville for $10 each. On top of that, you can save 10% off your next order. Full details are on the main page at www.rohwrestling.com.
October 29th: Rumor has it that Jimmy Jacobs has asked ROH officials to allow Tyler Black as his second for the 11/22 "I Quit" match in Chicago against Austin Aries. Aries could not be reached for comment.

- Bryan Danielson has been in contact, and has had spirited dialogue, with the ROH Booking Committee. We have it on good authority that an announcement of some sort will be made early next week in reference to these talks.

- Look for the new ROH Video Wire to be posted in the next 24 hours at www.rohvideos.com featuring highlights from last Friday night in Danbury, CT.

Interesting to see IWS guys on the upcoming shows.

And it looks like Brent Albright could be the in store for another major push. As in top guy.

I'm also waiting to see where Pearce books himself. I could see Chris Hero becoming a top heel soon too.

November 3rd: Delirious and Brodie Lee, representing the Age of the Fall, have issued an open challenge for a tag team match during Saturday’s Toronto event. As of press today, no one has answered the challenge. We will have an update on this once news becomes available.

November 3rd: Nigel McGuinness was unimpressed with the news that Bryan Danielson has “forced†himself into a 3-Way match against Kenny Omega and Tyler Black in Toronto. “Anything that club-foot Danielson can do,†proclaimed Nigel, “I can most assuredly do better. He wants to 'prove his worth' in 3-Way matches? No problem. In Dayton, one day before I beat Dragon within an inch of his life and prove I’m the best ROH champion of all time, I will put this belt up for grabs, and I’ll do it in a 3-Way Dance as well!†We’ll have his challengers for Dayton as they become available! Nigel still faces the challenge of leaving Canada this coming weekend as the World Champion.

November 3rd: Speaking of Bryan Danielson, he apparently hasn’t forgotten about what Claudio Castagnoli did to him several months back in New York. Also signed for Dayton on 11/21 is Danielson vs. Castagnoli! Requests for comment from Castagnoli were denied.

November 3rd: You can now save 25-30% off your next order placed at www.rohwrestling.com. This sale is valid on DVD's, tickets, apparel, & more. Don't miss this opportunity to start your holiday shopping now. Sale ends Thursday morning at 9am EST.

November 3rd: ROH Officials have been impressed by the past performances of “New Horror†Sami Callahan, and have signed him to appear on 11/21 in Dayton and on 11/22 in Chicago.

November 3rd: A six-man tag team grudge match has been signed for Chicago on 11/22. The team of Chris Hero, Davey Richards, and Go Shiozaki, representing Sweet-n-Sour Incorporated will oppose Roderick Strong, Erick Stevens, and Brent Albright! The ROH booking committee has indicated that BOTH sides have requested a stipulation on this match. ROH officials are going over the possibilities, and will have that announcement next week here in the newswire!

- November 10th: ROH is happy to extend a huge THANK YOU to the wonderful fans of the Montreal and Toronto areas for two wonderful events over the past weekend. We are happy to announce return dates of April 17th in Montreal, Quebec and April 18th in Markham, Ontario. Tickets for both events are on sale now.

- Speaking of "thank you's", ROH officials want to publicly acknowledge the remarkable efforts displayed by the Necro Butcher in Toronto during the ROH World Title match against Nigel McGuinness. After suffering a knee injury the night before in Montreal, Necro displayed an incredible sense of pride and guts as he lobbied to participate in the match against the advice of medical personnel. We wish Necro a speedy recovery and will update his status as news becomes available.

- Erick Stevens was blind sided and publicly attacked by Sweet-N-Sour Incorporated following Saturday's Markham, Ontario event. New ROH backstage interviewer, Kyle Durden, was in the midst of an interview when cameras captured the violent attack. We hope to have the footage available soon and we are awaiting confirmation of the severity of Stevens' injuries.

- Kenny Omega took the ball and ran with it over this past weekend with impressive showings in both Montreal and suburban Toronto. Kenny King was apparently unimpressed, as he abandoned Omega during their scheduled tag team match against the Briscoes in Montreal. King left ringside with Rhett Titus, and ended up being successful with Titus against the AOTF contingent of Brodie Lee and Delirious. Both King and Omega will be a part of the debut of ROH in St. Louis and Nashville! We'll have their scheduled matches soon right her in the newswire.

- You can now save 25% off all orders placed at www.rohwrestling.com. This offer is good on DVD's, tickets, apparel, & more. Check out the main page of the site for details along with the discount code.

- Jimmy Jacobs was a bloodied and beaten man at the end of the night in Markham. That did not stop him from commanding the attention of ROH film crews, who captured Jacobs' reactions to the brutal Dog Collar match only minutes after the bell rang. We will bring you that footage soon, as well as several other video pieces, at ROHVideos.com.

- Jerry Lynn was 1-for-2 in his contests over the weekend, but in the eyes of the fans, he convincingly batted 1.000. The ovations for the 45-year-old veteran in both Montreal and Markham didn't go unnoticed, especially by ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness, who was said to be "less than happy" with how much adulation Lynn received.
