Tajiri and Hideo on the same show would be as bad as when they used Funaki as Hideos's friend for the purpose of an Ascension beatdown. All three reek of the same I'm a foreign guy and let my actions do the talking because my accent sounds ridiccurus.

I liked Funaki being his translator, post match interviews could be his gimmick like a Fedor or Anderson Silva. Mystique on a foreigner instead of smiley, broken engrish haha look at him sound stupid kind of thing he has going for him.
When your translator has a broken engrish accent as well it still comes across as comedic. I absolutely agree that Hideo shouldn't talk other than three or four word impactful sentences. They just need to find a better translator.

I'm pretty sure Itami understands English, but even if he doesn't....this is still pro wrestling, just script out the guy doing the translating.

Of course Itami understands and speaks English, but his accent and Engrish become too comical to take seriously. If he speaks rapid-fire Japanese and the translator has better mic work, it will only work in his benefit.

They don't have many power based veterans on NXT to work with them in that style, so I wouldn't be opposed to Bubba Ray making a return, or maybe bring someone like Kane down from the main roster.
As far as the Divas, they really couldn't have picked a better option than Michelle McCool. They can learn a LOT from that one.
