I like the name and I am glad that it is back. Good to see that they finally named all the PPVs for the year as well after leaving a gap in the schedule for so long. This should just be a normal PPV without any gimmicks, no need to have yet another gimmick PPV.

But it's a name that provokes an image an image of not escaping so you would kind of expect a gimmick.

For many, many years it was a non gimmick PPV, it was only the last two editions which featured the Elimination Chamber match. Prior to that some of the mainevents were cage/HIAC matches but overall most of the time it was simply a normal PPV without any gimmick. They could always make one of the top matches a Cage match if they were desperate to add a gimmick but I don't think that the entire PPV needs to revolve around having a gimmick.

I too was thinking King of The Ring, but with the talent that we have doesn't fit in. The only last real KOTR was Regal. Good wrestler.

Of course it would at least somewhat be gimmicky, WWE doesn't sell PPVs on good feuds anymore, they sell them to the common fan with gimmick PPVs to entice you to fork over hard earned money.

It's going to be a gimmick PPV:

The main events of the June No Way Out PPV in New Jersey will be Steel Cage matches. A promotional video at tonight's Smackdown taping featured all shots of Steel Cage bouts.

So like a TNA Lockdown type of thing. I just don't see a point since they already have a Hell in the Cell PPV. I do like the name still though.

Wargames would be nice but the WWE has zero stables and i don't think throwing a bunch of random guys together every year would work.

Yay, more gimmick PPV's! Strange, I thought I called that this was going to be a Cage gimmick PPV, but it seems as though Cork posted it.

This is the dumbest decision I've ever seen.

Seriously, who the fuck agrees with this crap?

I don't have much interest in having a PPV based on cage matches, they're not all that good. But if it was barbed wire, that I wouldn't mind but FUCK PG.

Wargames return would be awesome but I agree you need a proper build to one and doing that before June would be very hard. An all cage match PPV has worked (see lockdown) and if they cancel HIAC I could love with it. Would prefer no gimmicks though.

I guess WWE really felt if they were gonna bring back No Way Out it needed a gimmick. Oh well at least it's not another show based on ladders.
