Jermichael Finley also re-signed with Green Bay, good news for them avoiding using the franchise tag and what not.

Colts not ready to make Manning, Luck call

INDIANAPOLIS -- Even the Indianapolis Colts don't have all the answers on Peyton Manning. Or Andrew Luck, for that matter.

New general manager Ryan Grigson said the Colts have not decided whether to release the four-time league MVP, whether to renegotiate with him or whether to take Luck with the No. 1 overall pick in April's draft.

Instead, things in Indianapolis are about as uncertain as the status of Manning's right arm.

"Peyton has to be healthy, it has to be ...

As a fan of Peyton Manning I'm hoping he gets his chance to move on. From the way things are being handled in Indy with the owner and new GM, Peyton deserves better. Irsay and Grigson sound more each day like a couple of phonies.

I dunno about "better", because I'm pretty sure whatever team Manning ends up playing for next year, it will likely be a second-rate non-threat team with a ton of spare cap space. If Manning won't restructure his contract with Indy, I can't imagine him be willing to play for less in another city.

Wouldn't surprise me to see him land in Tennessee. He played college ball at Tennessee University, they're division rivals of the Colts, the Titans can afford him, and without Fisher around, the team needs a leader. It makes sense in a lot of ways.

I never even thought about the Titans but that's a great point. They got some promise if CJ can get back on track they should have enough money to go out and get some WR's one of them possibly being Reggie Wayne since he probably won't be back in Indy.

Kenny Britt's a hoss too. Very underrated receiver. Tennessee really wouldn't even need another high-dollar top flight receiver, they would be pretty dangerous with even a solid possession-receiver opposite to Britt.

If the Titans got Manning, Britt would have to change his jersey # though . :p

Well unless since he'd be playing in Tennessee again he'd use his college number in 16.

All I know is they made it seem like they had to decide soon on what to do with Manning and it seems like it's been forever already.

No kidding.

Manning's gonna feel like a little kid in candy store with a $100 bill when the Colts release him.

Looks like the Rams are willing to trade the #2 pick and there asking a lot 2 first rounders and some later picks also.

Guess they feel confident in Bradford if they can put some more young pieces around him.

See the Browns having the best chance of getting the #2 pick and RG3 seeing as they have 2 1st round picks this year.

Bradford needs a freaking o-line built round him. Dude was one of the most sacked QBs last season. He's their franchise QB and will come good, should the team around him be good enough.

Hines Ward got released by the Steelers.

Still see someone picking him up though, as this doesn't look like a deal where the Steelers are going to sign him to a lesser deal.

Some Steelers fans are going to be upset about that, but even without him missing a lot of last season due to injury, the Steelers still had a decent season. I'm sure he is a cap casualty more than any other reason they released him. Their younger receivers have a little to do with it no doubt, but if it weren't for the cap, Pittsburgh would have definitely kept him around until he retired.

How fucked up would it be if the Ravens scooped him up...
