Oh, the months of September to January. You bring me football every year, no matter what, whether I've been good or bad. You gave me a little scare this summer, you know you did. But you still came back to me. Thank you so much. Thank you for Sunday, where you are kind enough to schedule your games so I can feasibly watch 9 hours of football in one day. Thank you for Monday, where I get one more chance to savor this beautiful beautiful game and remember fondly the games that came before it. Thank you for the occasional Thursday and Saturday when you fuck around and throw another game on for no good reason. Thank you for giving me an excuse to be a slightly worse boyfriend than I was in the summer. Just: thank you.
