Fan or not, you gotta believe that Cardo's is the most breakthrough producer in the game right now.

Also, Rellski, knowing you're a west coast tenant, how do you feel about hyphee (?) Bay Area shit? Being from the third coast, I CANT stand that shit. I don't know if your Norte or Sur, but I hear Bay Area shit gets love in LA too. Thoughts??

Re: Hip Hop Discussion Thread

Kool G Rap...can't be mad at that. He was Nas' mentor and pretty much gave him a style to run with. I have love for G Rap.

hyphy was getting love in LA during E-40's random ass resurrection (Tell Me When to Go) , but once that died down, we pretty much stopped fucking with it altogether. I can't lie, I was into it back in High School...but looking back, it was always fuckin awful. All So Cal movements were pretty embarrassing for a while. I mean, we started that silly Krump/Clowning shit, and pretty much birthed Jerking as well.

BUT, it's looking up for us now. Black Hippy (Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul, Jay Rock & ScHoolboy Q) are about to put us back on :shy:

We have a lot of talent at the moment...Black Hippy, Dom Kennedy, Blu, Fashawn, Pac Div, those Odd Future smurfs, etc. We'll be running rap in a few years :notworthy:...I can't think of too many Bay area artist gets overwhelming love in LA aside from maybe Problem.
