I said booking heels isn't hard, you name faces who fail to get heat, which is an oxymoron. And I distinctly remember CM Punk being very over when he won his first world title. And Sheamus beating Cena for the belt ws viewed as a breath of fresh air.

Only people saying it was a flop was people on the internet, I never heard one mark say this guy is a joke. Casual fans always tune in when they hear a new champion is crowned, especially if it's new blood. To act like everyone who watches wrestling like people like us is far-sighted and wrong.

Sheamus was a heel when he beat Cena for his first World Title...yeah...and nobody could take him seriously because he went from ECW to WWE Champ in a few weeks, most people had no idea who he was.

Sililiarish thing with Punk in that he was never booked on WWE Title level, MITB'd his way into both his first 2 reigns and was never seen on the Batista, Cena level. Hell his first reign Batista just beat him down like a bitch every week. That doesnt help establish someone as a Main Event talent.

You cant just slap the Title on someone with no build and expect them to be taken seriously.

Ziggler isn't the only one who had a briefcase and looked feeble with it, last year Daniel Bryan was just a guy with a briefcase, who had to have Big Show around to look after him against Mark Henry. And he became instant Smackdown! number one guy overnight.

The whole concept of MITB is old now, it lost any meaning when it became it's own PPV. It's about time it joins the KOTR and just goes away. Jobbing out MITB winners is step one, Cena didn't win with it, baby steps.

They have done it to quite a few MITB winners. What they need to do is mix things up a bit, having a winner finally cash in and lose was the right idea. They need to have more guys cashing in in advance and booking a match at a PPV rather than the surprise cash in. It would also be a nice change if they gave someone the briefcase, gave them a few nice wins and then had them cash in a couple of months later whilst they have the momentum. What they really need to do is drop back to one MITB match where the winner can challenge either champion.

A surprise cash in for Ziggler after many months of big loses could turn around and be successful but in my opinion WWE are just making it harder for themselves.

Who is this "they" when it came to Sheamus? Look at old Smarky sites and they will offer you a different opinion.

And Batista laying out Punk everyweek? First feud was with JBL, right up until that Scramble match he wasn't apart of. Second win was his much heralded feud with Hardy. I'm really not seeing your point here.

'They' the general audience who don't spend their free time watching indies and browsing the web to see how good the latest WWE signings are that just saw some ginger nobody fluke a Championship win.

When was WWECW an Indy company that the casual WWE fan had to go looking for on the internet? Wasn't that the same springboard used to resurrect Miz & Morrison, Christian, & Mark Henry, or the one that launched CM Punk, Kofi Kingston, etc.

Also, WWE jobbed out Edge at EC one year, just for him to turn around & cash it in that very same night. Most forgot that Edge failed to win the IC title that night, but was still considered a contender for the WWE title.
