Re: NBA Regular Season Discussion Thread

You said "KG era Celtics".

Perk played 6 in the Finals by the way. I counted the overall record of LA vs Boston, which KG hasn't missed a regular season or playoff matchup. They are 9-10 (7-6 with Bynum)

LOL @ the little Bynum parenthetical. But what's their record with Trevor Ariza? Sasha Vujacic? I need to know!

Re: NBA Regular Season Discussion Thread

Sasha (9-10)
Trevor (3-2)

;)

The Bynum point stands as he was a better player than Rondo or Perk in that first matchup in 08 and was clearly more of a factor than any Celtic big in 10 because of his sheer size (LA was a + every time he was on the floor in the finals).

Baller, I'm having a hard time finding a good LeBron clip like the Rondo one I have. There are some well-done clips, but they mostly have him in the Cavalier uniform. I'll look again tomorrow, or if you can find anything you want me to make into a gif, I can do it. I can't cut things together myself, it would have to be an uninterrupted clip.

Yeah, I'll go on my slow ass laptop and try to look tomorrow. If the best one is him in a Cavs uni then I guess we can do Wade

Re: NBA Regular Season Discussion Thread

Hate that he had to do it against my team but it was pretty awesome.

They had a poll during the game yesterday asking who was the best dunker today and Blake barley beat Lebron. Don't think it should have been that close. While Lebron can pretty much do any dunk he wants he holds back a lot.

I don't know if i've ever seen a one handed alley oop in a game. regardless that's a nice dunk.

Lebron's the best dunker in the league though.

Re: NBA Regular Season Discussion Thread

He is on reputation but currently this season it's been Blake imo.

LeBron is the best dunker, but chooses not too. Griffen is number one simply for the fact every dunk he has is just monstrous.

Re: NBA Regular Season Discussion Thread

LeBron's a monster of course, but BLAKE's doing things I've just never seen before. Look at these two dunks. Everyone has had their say about the first one, but the second one is even more impressive IMO. Nobody could do that. He jumps like he's an NBA Jam character or something.

Re: NBA Regular Season Discussion Thread

First off, I can't believe that none of you remember Dice before the microfracture surgery. He had just as much hops as Blake and was a better defensive player. He just went under knife in the era where that surgery killed players and the rehab techniques weren't as effective.

Shit like that was considered average for Dice in Denver and Phoenix

As for one handed alley oops:

10 (AI to AI), 5 (Kidd to VC), 4 (Kidd to VC), and 1 (D12)

3 (Kidd and K-Mart putting on blue light specials)

T-Mac also has some great ones in his Orlando days where he windmills it with ease

Re: NBA Regular Season Discussion Thread

If we are just talking about dunkers Kobe, T-Mac, VC, MJ, Wilkins, J-Rich, Dice, Shaq (before the weight gain), and Amare have Blake and LeBron on in games dunks and creativity.

If we just talk about leaping, Eddie Jones once took off a foot inside the 3pt line (off a one foot jump) and glided the whole way to a lay up.
