Official Preview Guide:

Total iMPACT!
Focus Point of the Week:
Last week we saw the re-emergence of the “Charismatic Enigma” Jeff Hardy in TNA during Christian Cage’s Peepshow, but Jeff wasn’t the only guest on the program last week. Jeff Hardy’s red carpet welcome party was soon cut short by none other than the TNA World Tag Team Champions Team 3D. Previously, in other wrestling promotions, Christian Cage, Jeff Hardy, Team 3D, along with a handful of other competitors, had some of the most hardcore, historic, matches that will be talked about in wrestling history for years to come, but backstage they were really good friends, but it’s 2007, and it’s a total different story. In a bizarre turn of events, Team 3D was disgusted that Jeff Hardy was getting air time that they could have been getting, so they decided to crash his welcome back party. In another bizarre turn of events, it was Christian Cage who stuck up for Hardy, which didn’t sit well with 3D either. Team 3D was going to beat up Cage, but it was Jeff Hardy aligning himself with the Instant Classic. This huge tag team contest is set to happen, but when and where is not known at this point, tune into this Thursday’s iMPACT! for more details.

Sting Vs Jeff Jarrett should be a huge match. I have a gut feeling that it's gonna be one of the rare events where the title changes hands on the weekly show. I'm hoping for Cage/Jeff Vs 3D will hopefully finish in a TLC match eventually. Keep up the good work.

Pyros go off as SoCal Val blows you a kiss and the iMPACT! theme plays.

Tenay: Welcome everyone to TNA iMPACT! Mike Tenay, Don West, here ringside. DW, are you ready for your 60 Minute Adrenaline Rush? Tonight, get this Don, the TNA World Heavyweight Championship will be defended right here on iMPACT! when Sting defends his World Championship against the King of the Mountain Jeff Jarrett!

West: Mike Tenay, I don’t know about how you feel, but I have been hearing the fan reaction to this match, and I feel the same way, Jeff Jarrett does not deserve this match! I know Sting gave the okay with this, but in my, and everyone else’s mind, it really should be Kurt Angle getting this title shot, because he did defeat Jarrett in Falls Count Anywhere 2 weeks ago at Hard Justice! I get Angle wasn’t here last week to fight this, but I know for a fact he is here tonight so I can’t wait to see what goes down!

Sabu’s music plays as Sabu and Raven come out of the gate, signaling Sabu’s return to iMPACT!

Tenay
: Yes Don, we saw him return at Hard Justice, but for the first time on iMPACT! in over 2 years, the Homicidal, Genocidal, Suicidal Maniac, Sabu is back here in the six sided ring!

The Naturals’ Music plays as Chase Stevens, Andy Douglas, and Shane Douglas make their way down to the ring.

Sabu w/ Raven vs. Chase Stevens w/ Andy Douglas and Shane Douglas

Sabu starts pacing back and fourth and Chase turns to his teammates and laughs. Chase closes in on Sabu, but Sabu charges at him and clotheslines him. Chase gets right back up and can’t believe he got nailed. He runs after Sabu, but Sabu slides out of the ring and Chase pursues him. Sabu runs around the ring, but he is running towards Shane and Andy. Shane Douglas and Andy Douglas look for a double clothesline on Sabu, but Sabu ducks. They turn around and get met with a dropkick knocking both of them backwards into a pursuing Stevens laying out all of the Naturals. Sabu gets back into the ring as the ref starts the ring out count. 1…2…Chase gets back up…3….Chase gets back into the ring. Sabu quickly pounces on Chase with hammering clubs to the back. Sabu bounces off the ropes and nails a running, swinging, neckbreaker on Stevens. Sabu pins Stevens 1…2…kickout! Sabu picks up Stevens and arm drags him into an arm lock. Sabu puts on more pain on Stevens, but he swings his leg to the bottom rope. Sabu releases the hold, runs across the ring and baseball slides nailing Stevens under the bottom rope and out of the ring. Andy and Shane run over to help him. Sabu signals to Raven to throw him a chair. Raven runs over to the announcer’s area and grabs a folded up chair and hurls it into the ring where Sabu grabs it. Sabu sets it up right next to the ropes by the Naturals on the outside. Sabu charges across the ring, off the ropes, jumps onto the chair, then onto the top rope, and crumbles onto the Naturals. The fans freak out chanting TNA! TNA! TNA! Sabu grabs Stevens and hangs him on the apron, head hanging over. Sabu climbs the turnbuckles and nails a huge legdrop onto Stevens’ skull. Sabu slides into the ring and pulls Chase’s leg into a pin 1….2…kickout! Raven is getting pissed on the other side of the ring. Shane and Andy get up on the apron to distract Sabu, but Raven runs over to the other side of the ring. Raven stops and grabs the chair, then cracks it across Andy’s back, that got Shane’s attention. Shane turns around and begs Raven to stop. Sabu nails a running dropkick from the ring onto Shane on the apron, catapulting him to the floor. Raven goes after Douglas and Chase sneaks up behind Sabu and gets the roll up 1…grabs the rope with his other hand, the ref not seeing…2….3!
WINNER: Chase Stevens

Raven turns around and is really pissed, he charges the ring with the chair. Stevens runs out of the ring and meets up with his fallen comrades as they celebrate walking up the ramp. Raven goes and helps Sabu swearing at the Naturals.

Tenay: That was so rigged! Ref, you couldn’t see Stevens grabbing the rope? Come on!

West: This is a major point in this war Mike, this was Sabu’s debut back on iMPACT! What kind of loss boosts one’s morale? I can only imagine how Sabu feels!

Douglas: So boys, looks like you didn’t win, but hey, our challenge is still out there, we need an answer! We need it now!

Raven: Douglas, you slime, you want to torment us in a way that I wouldn’t even understand fine, that’s just dandy, you guys vs. me and Sabu, No Surrender, in a House of Fun Match!

Andy and Chase look worried as Shane smiles and laughs while they go up the tunnel.

BACKSTAGE:

Jim Cornette, Lance Hoyt, Robert Roode, and Ms. Brooks are backstage with Jeremy Borash.

JB
: Jeremy Borash backstage here with possibly the most powerful force in TNA in recent memory…

Cornette: In recent memory? Jeremy, have you ever seen more dominance other than my personal bodyguard Robert Roode and the Founder of Roode Inc. Robert Roode? No, no you haven’t, so shut your mouth, I got something to say. Now, the internet has been a’buzzing about my major announcement, everyone wonders what my announcement is going to be! Well woopidy do! I don’t care what the fans say, because the fans are stupid, and why would you listen to stupid people in the first place? I don’t know, but that’s why I don’t listen to you Jeremy, and I certainly won’t listen to that Pacific Islander or that Ferocious Lion, because they have nothing to say, all they say is “Joe’s Going to Kill You†or “POOOUUUNNCCEEE! Period!†Jeremy, now if that isn’t stupid I don’t know what is. However, since they are the most popular stars here, I am going to catch them a break, popular means money, and money means ratings, like my boy Robert Roode says…

Roode: Jimmy…if it doesn’t make dollars…it doesn’t make sense!

Cornette: Damn straight! Now listen, I am going out there right now, along with my crew, and I am going to announce this huge match for No Surrender, Jeremy please don’t ask me any questions, because I won’t listen, this interview is over!

Jim Cornette’s music hits as Jim Cornette, Lance Hoyt, Robert Roode, and Ms. Brooks come down the ring.

Tenay
: Don, listen, this group that Cornette has formed has been quite dominant, even though, they might not be the nicest, they have showed that they are a force here in TNA!

West: Well, Mike, I don’t know these guys personally, but I have been friends with Jim Cornette a long time, he is a very smart man, despite his attitude, he knows how to pick them!

Cornette: Alright, alright, calm down, calm down! Ever since I stepped up with my Zero Tolerance System a couple months back, this place has been looking better than ever. You people have a lot to be grateful for due to my system if you like it or not! For example, the emergence of Lance Hoyt as my bodyguard! The return to TNA wrestling of one of the most dominant young stars out there, Robert Roode! Not to mention the utter destruction of your hero the Alpha Male Monty Brown at Victory Road!

Monty Brown’s music hits as the Alpha Male storms into the iMPACT! Zone.

Brown
: Cornette, buddy, no little Alpha Males, or Alpha Females out there wants to here you brag about yourselves or your man slaves over there! If anything, we want to see more of that hot mama back there, but that’s for another time! Cornette, Jimmy, listen, I hear you have the Serengeti on alert, because there is an announcement dealing with Bound For Glory, and the Alpha Male thought to himself, that he should be the main event, because, despite what you think about your boys, me, along with Sting and Samoa Joe, decimated them last week, so as far as I am concerned, I should be the man at this year’s Bound For Glory!

Cornette: Excuse me? Who the hell do you think you are, coming up in my face, on my show? You should be ashamed of yourself! You think you’re dominant? My boys defeated you and your little Serengeti at Victory Road! You are lucky though, because I am still considering you for this match, so keep your mouth shut and maybe you might get lucky! This match is going to be huge, it will decide who will face the TNA World Champion, whoever that may be at this year’s Bound For Glory. I am looking for guys with heart, endurance, strength, charisma, and most of all the determination to be TNA World’s Champion!

Chris Harris’ music hits as the Wildcat comes down the ramp.

Harris
: Let me just refresh your memory Mr. Cornette, I am “Wildcat†Chris Harris, I am the greatest young talent you got, and I have all the qualities you are looking for and then some!

Cornette: Wow, Chris, I am surprised you thought I didn’t know who you were, well, your name is probably the only thing I know about you, as far as your singles career goes…

Harris: Jim, if anyone deserves that spot, it’s me, I have been waiting long enough and I deserve my shot if you will allow it…

AJ Styles’ music hits as the Phenomenal AJ Styles comes down to the ring.

AJ
: Chris, Chris, Chris, I know you are an up and comer in the singles division, haven’t I taught you anything? You have to wait your turn and respect the food chain!

Brown: AJ, I don’t know what you are referring to, but the Alpha Male is on top of the food chain punk, and I will destroy all of you with one POOOOUUUUUNNNNNNCCEEEEEEE! Period….

AJ: Yea, yea, yea, we heard it all before leopard skin, but Jimbo, seriously, if anyone deserves this, it has to be the Phenomenal One! Theirs is just no room for doubt, it’s me!

Cornette: Alright, alright listen, I got a handful of guys in this ring that all want the same thing, so here’s what I am going to do…

Samoa Joe’s music hits as the Samoan Submission Machine Samoa Joe comes down the ramp.

Joe
: Well, well, well, if we don’t meet again Cornette. This time, we have the Big Texan, the Dollar Bill, an Alpha Male, a Wildcat, and Phenomenal Rubber Band, looks like all your Zero Tolerance Policy created was a damn fun house! There was one guy missing here, it wasn’t Monty Brown, it wasn’t Chris Harris, it wasn’t AJ Styles, nor Roode, nor Hoyt, the man who has deserved a title shot from the beginning, let alone now, is this Pissed Off Samoan! You can have all this talent, but nothing here equals the Samoan Submission Machine standing right before your eyes Jimbo!

Cornette: Joe, you are so naive, I am taking you know me better than that! Right? Of course, so what I am proposing is that we see who is really Bound For Glory! Therefore, at No Surrender, it will be Lance Hoyt vs. Robert Roode…vs. Monty Brown…vs. Chris Harris…vs. AJ Styles…vs. Samoa Joe in a Bound For Glory Gauntlet Match! The winner will go onto Bound For Glory to face the TNA World Champion whoever that may be! Gentlemen, remember, no matter what comes up, whatever happens, all you should worry about is winning that match, sure there will be a few obstacles on the way, but to headline our Biggest PPV means everything, so gentlemen, good luck…

Cornette’s music hits as Jim Cornette leaves everyone in the ring.

BACKSTAGE:

Leticia is backstage with Christian Cage and Jeff Hardy.

Leticia
: I am here with “The Instant Classic†Christian Cage and “The Charismatic Enigma†Jeff Hardy. You two dropped one huge bombshell last week, not only, Christian, bringing Jeff Hardy back into TNA, but also making this huge match with Team 3D, what’s going through your guys’ minds right now?

Cage: Well toots, listen, when you are Christian Cage, you have a hell of a lot of duties to uphold, save people from burning buildings, make out with incredibly gorgeous women, stand up and defy danger, and stick up for who’s close to me. Jeff here is one of my closest friends in the world, and I would be damned if I would let those fatasses step all over him! Sure, his welcoming celebration was crashed, but, Jeff, would you come in with a bang, or a nuclear explosion?

Hardy: Christian man, you know how Jeff Hardy is, I want to paint the town turquoise, I would come in with the arsenal of world war 3 if I had the chance, I am here to steal the damn show, not just be another guy in the back.

Cage: So Leticia, to answer your question, me and Jeff, same page, us and Team 3D different books! We have chosen our match, boys, next week, it will be Christian Cage and Jeff Hardy vs. Team 3D for the TNA World Tag Team Championships!

Hardy: Ray, Devon, you don’t know who you’re messing with bro’s! You are messing with the iMAGInation, let alone the Charismanation, you better be holding those belts tight, because that’s the last thing you’ll be holding for awhile…

Cage: Well, we aren’t talking about your alone time, because you never know…

Hardy: Of course, gotta respect one’s personal time…

Cage: Yea, because you never know…

Hardy: Exactly.

“Black Machismo†Jay Lethal’s music hits as the TNA X-Division Champion comes down the ramp.

Motor City Machine Guns’ music hits as Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley come back to the iMPACT! Zone from a brief hiatus.

Jay Lethal and Christopher Daniels vs. Motor City Machine Guns

Jay Lethal and Chris Sabin start off the match. They circle the ring and lock up. Lethal gets Sabin in a head lock, but Sabin counters, twists Lethal’s arm and slaps a head lock on Jay. Black Machismo counters, twists Sabin’s arm, then plants another headlock on Chris into a headlock takedown. Sabin struggles, but slaps his legs around Lethal’s neck into a head scissors submission. Lethal gets up, and Sabin springs up and they lock up. Sabin backs Lethal into the corner. The ref tries to separate them and then Sabin nails a quick hard chop on Lethal. He walks away, but runs back and nails a knee to the face. Sabin runs across the ring and signals for the hesitation drop kick. He runs towards Lethal and launches, but Lethal dodges and Sabin gets hung up on the ropes. Lethal picks up Sabin and whips him across the ring. Sabin bounces back and Lethal jumps up nailing a standing whirling head scissors on the machine gun. Lethal runs over and tags in Daniels. Daniels goes up top while Sabin gets up. Chris gets up and gets clobbered with a cross body from Daniels into the pin 1…2…kickout! Daniels pulls him by the leg and puts him into a knee twist. Sabin turns over, flips over again, then pushes Daniels away with his legs. Daniels jumps over and tags in Shelley. Shelley gets a flying clothesline on Daniels, Sabin runs in and gets a leg drop followed by a standing Senton by Shelley into a by Shelley 1…2…kickout! Shelley picks him up and gets a scoop slam. He goes up to the top rope. He raises his hands trying to get the crowd pumped. He jumps off into a frog splash, but Daniels gets the knees up and Shelley squirms in pain. Daniels stumbles over and gets the tag to Black Machismo. Lethal runs in and pins Shelley right away 1…kickout! Lethal picks him up and attempts a Side Russian Leg Sweep. Shelley counters, twists the arm, knees him in the gut, and drops him with a huge DDT into a pin 1…2…Daniels comes in and hammers him right on the spine breaking the pin. Shelley gets up in Daniels face. Lethal gets up and is ambushed by Sabin with a strong face plant slam. The ref forces Daniels back and Shelley pins Lethal 1…2…kickout! Shelley picks up Lethal and signals for the Overdrive, but Lethal counters and gets a face plant slam of his own. Daniels runs across the ring and drop kicks Sabin off the apron. Then goes up top. Lethal also goes to the top rope. Daniels nails the BME: Best Moonsault Ever, followed by Lethal nailing the Big Elbow Drop on Shelley pinning him 1…2…3!
WINNER: Jay Lethal and Christopher Daniels!

Daniels and Lethal hug each other and raise each other’s hands in victory. The ref hands Lethal the belt and Daniels raises that hand with the belt as they keep celebrating. They put their arms down and Daniels won’t let the belt go. Lethal pulls on it yanking it from Daniels grip.

Tenay: Hmm, Don, did you see that Daniels wouldn’t let go of that X-title, we have seen this before!

West: Yea Mike, but you heard them last week, they are good friends, and when the time comes they will meet for that title! Until then, they are teammates, and best friends!

BACKSTAGE:

Jeremy Borash is backstage with Jeff Jarrett.

JB
: Jeremy Borash here right now with the King of the Mountain Jeff Jarrett, who later tonight will take on Sting for the TNA World Championship!

Jarrett: JB, it’s morning again in America! Jeremy, I seriously think that dribble that Cornette was barking about earlier, how TNA is better than ever is true, because justice is restored, Jeff Jarrett back in the title race, I can’t believe it myself!

JB: Well looks like you are in a good mood!

Jarrett: Hell Borash, if you were going after the World title, you would be in a good mood too, but wait, you aren’t a wrestler, so I guess you are down in the dumps everyday, so you steal the glitz and glamour from the real stars huh?

JB: Well, not exactly. A lot of questions arise from this title match Jeff. A couple being, you are considered not the real number one contender, what about Kurt Angle, and what is Angle’s reaction going to be when he finds out about this?

Jarrett: How can they not consider me number one contender? I am the greatest wrestler here, I beat Angle at Victory Road, that’s more than a reason. Jeremy, stop asking me about Angle, that is my next point, has anyone heard from Angle? Is Angle here? No, no he isn’t Jeremy. So, first come first serve in this business Kurt and you lucked out, so a tear for you, Borash excuse me I got a match!

COMMERCIAL

Jerry Lynn’s music hits as the X-Division Pioneer comes down the ramp.

Lynn:
I am not going to beat around the bush, I came out here for a reason, and what I said, I am going to damn well do! You see for the past few weeks, I have been beaten, slammed, kicked, knocked out, week after freakin’ week! That isn’t the problem though, it is the one who did the beating! Kevin Nash gets your ass down here now! I am calling you out!

Kevin Nash’s music hits, but no one comes out of the tunnel.

Lynn
: Oh come on Nash, you are back there, you don’t want to show? Well fine, I will come after you!

Senshi runs down the ramp from behind Lynn carry a steel chair.

Lynn smartens up and turns around. Senshi swings at Lynn, but Lynn ducks and drop kicks the chair into the skull of Senshi. Lynn picks up the chair and cracks it across the Warrior’s back.

Lynn: Nash, I know you better than that my friend, sending your slaves to do your dirty work is pretty obvious, fight your own battles Big Sexy, come on!

Lynn paces back and fourth in the ring, he gets tired of waiting then drops the microphone and runs up the ramp. The camera follows him backstage.

BACKSTAGE:

Lynn runs through the halls of the iMPACT! Zone.

Lynn
: Nash you can’t run forever, where’s the blindside tonight huh Nash?

Jerry Lynn comes to Nash’s locker room, the door is closed. Lynn gets pissed and kicks the door open. Lynn runs in as far as he can. He hears the door close behind him, and he turns around and sees Kevin Nash standing there.

Nash: Hey, Jerry, nice of you to drop in, I really wasn’t expecting…

Lynn has had enough and runs over and delivers the beating on Nash. He clubs him across the back, but Nash overpowers him and has him on his shoulder and swings him down backfirst onto the cement floor. Lynn backs up crawling on the floor trying to get away from Nash. Jerry, out of desperation, low blows Nash and Nash goes down. Jerry gets up and grabs him by his belt on his pants and the collar of his shirt and he whips him into the wall, his head going through the wall.

Lynn: You son of a bitch, maybe that will teach you a thing or two about messing with the X-Division you bastard!

Lynn limps to the door, opens in and walks out of the room.

VIDEO: Highlights of the Career vs. Title Jeff Jarrett vs. Sting at Bound For Glory 2006.

Tenay: Well Don it’s World Championship time! Sting will once again defend his TNA World title against life long rival Jeff Jarrett! This is going to be a match of the year in my opinion!

West: I would agree Mike, but it’s just the idea that Jarrett is not the number one contender, there’s nothing that convince me!

Jeff Jarrett’s music hits as The King of the Mountain comes down the ramp.

Sting’s music hits as the TNA World Heavyweight Champion comes to the ring.

TNA World Heavyweight Championship
Sting* vs. Jeff Jarrett

He picks up Jarrett again, but Jarrett elbows him in the gut and nails a back drop on Sting. Jarrett grabs his legs and goes for the Figure Four and pulls it off. Sting panics and Jarrett murders Sting’s legs with the figure four. Sting tries and then rolls over putting the pain on Jarrett. Jarrett releases the hold. Sting rolls out of the ring. Sting hangs on the barricade taking a breather. Jarrett gets his breathe back and slips in for a baseball slide knocking the Stinger down. He goes outside and picks him up. He whips Sting into the stairs, but Sting counters and whips Jarrett into the stairs. Jarrett squirms in pain as Sting picks him up and slides him into the ring. Sting goes up top. Jarrett stumbles to his feet and sees Sting on the top. He runs over and grabs him and hurls him back onto the mat. Jarrett covers Sting 1…2….kickout! Jarrett comes out of the corner and Stinger goes for the Stinger Death Drop, but Jarrett twists the arm and tries to nail the Stroke, but Stinger counters back into the Stinger Death Drop and nails it. Stinger grabs the legs and locks in the Scorpion Death Lock. Jeff Jarrett taps out to the pain.
WINNER: still TNA World Champion Sting!

Sting is handed the title by the ref and holds it up in victory.

Tenay: Don, I don’t think the controversy matters anymore, because Sting is still the TNA World Champion, and that means Jarrett cannot be the number one contender!

West: Oh thank heaven Mike, thank heaven that snake Jarrett is out of the title race, where he didn’t belong to begin with!

Jarrett slides out of the ring and falls on the floor in humiliation. While Sting climbs the turnbuckles and raises his belt as his music plays.

Kurt Angle’s music hits as the Olympic Hero makes his way out of the tunnel for the first time since Hard Justice.

Sting looks puzzled at Angle just standing at the top of the ramp. Angle motions around his waist like he wants the title.

Tenay: Oh, Don, looks like Angle is back, and he wants the TNA title!

West: Yea Mike, looks like it, now that is man who deserves it!

Sting and Angle have an epic stare down as iMPACT! goes off the air.
