I loved the old warrior shit the UFC was too many guys just want to hug their way to a Title thesedays. The level of striking hasn't improved much in 20 years though.

It's funny how it took how many years for someone to actually use the jab as an offensive weapon (GSP/Kos2). Miss the James Irvins of the MMA world though. They never make it past dirt shows anymore.

Bunch of news to throw in here.

- Bisping cleared to return and is looking to return around March or April. Been called out by Tim Kennedy but isn't really interested in it but won't turn it down if it's offered to him. Machida & Jacare fights would interest him.

- TJ Grant is responding better to his concussion than he had been in prior months, but he's still less than 100-percent and is unsure when he'll be able to return to the fighting. Grant is targeting a tentative date of Christmas, after which he hopes to resume training, although that timetable is far from certain.

- Jeremy Stephens vs. Darren Elkins made for UFC on Fox 10 on January 25th

- Jacare vs Francis Carmont added to UFC Fight Night in Brazil on February 10th headlined by Machida/Mousasi

- Aldo defends against Ricardo Lamas at UFC 169: Cruz vs Barao

Also, more hilarity ensues and a second guy fails to make weight this season on TUF :lmao

He had 1 fight to get in the house, got a bye for his next fight because his opponent missed now weight, now he misses weight in a fight that would take him to the finals if he won :lmao :lmao

I only watched last season because they really hyped Uriah hall's fights on that show. Like really must see TV. This season... I'm just like... who cares. Well the past few seasons I've been like well who cares.

Couldn't name you a TUF winner since Big Country.

Also those matchups are nightmares for Bisping, either KO'd by Machida or choked out by Jacare. Middleweight doesn't seem as thin all of a sudden.

MW has definitely suddenly become a very different division. Very stacked at the top then a big drop off to the likes of Munoz. Bisping unfortunately is right in the middle. Not good enough for the top 5 or so but far too good for everyone else.

And there's really nothing they can do to make TUF interesting, 20+ seasons of two fighters training a bunch of scrubs and pretending to be mortal enemies got old years ago.

MW has become very exciting again. I can't wait to see Jacare fight again. And now with the addition of Machida it is very interesting. But Bisping... yeah he is pretty much in the worst position now.

but as far as TUF goes... there just isn't much interest anymore. Unless they can bring in someone that people know. I mean Big Country wasn't well known but MMA fans would know him. Kimbo Slice was an internet sensation so plenty of people knew him. So there just needs to be a draw. And having the men and women wasn't it. Having Rousey and Tate... definitely wasn't it. Everyone knows that was what the UFC originally wanted anyways. When Tate lost... it took like a couple weeks before Tate was put in.

But anyways... Chael vs. Wandy... that one has me interested at least just for the coaches.

Well they have been going at it for a while though. So it wouldn't be like... oh now that we're coaches we're going to act like we don't like each other. Which... will make it kinda better than the past seasons.

Its still just a tired formula whether Wandy and Chael hate each other or not. Doubful there numerous pictures of Chael hanging out backstage with Brazillian fighters, he just acts up for the camera's. Hasn't been a real beef in the UFC since Tito-Shamrock.
