fwiw, audio was one of playstations big strength as they were always disk based, the audio from the first game should technically be cd quality which is better than compressed

I missed the discussion about MGS 4 and 5 lol, but I am pretty hype for this. Snake Eater was my entry to MGS series as a whole and then I went back played the previous games and from there I was hooked. I would buy every game that came out except for 5 because at the time I was just in a bad place.

I wonder why this one in particular and not the first two games? I know there was a remake of the first one on Gamecube called The Twins Snakes, I played it and loved it, but I never got to play any other MGS before I got a PS4 and Phantom Pain

chronologically, this game takes place before the other 2. So if yo uare gonna remake the whole series, this is the first story to remake as it's the origin story

Yeah, i think this is the reason. Also why they took the “3” off. They’ll be giving the series the Resident Evil treatment and remaking them but what looks like in chronological order. I wouldn’t be surprised if they do the NES games next and then MGS

indeed! I don't really know much about the SNES games story (cuz tbh, who fucking cares about t hose games lol) but MGS3 is about how Big Boss became Big Boss. And Big Boss is who they cloned to create Les Enfants Terribles , or as you likely know them: Solid Snake, Liquid Snake and Solidus Snake. imo its also by far the best game and story in the series.

I would love a remake of Twins Snakes, such a great game with memorable moments. And I know it already was a remake itself lol

Yeah, It's crazy how far down the line Metal Gear Solid actually is in the time line. That was mine and I feel like a lot of people's first games in the series.

I played 1 and 2 and had no idea about the older games and then 3 came along and was in the past but it took me way longer than I want to admit to even realize this. He looked the exact same but they kept calling him naked snake and revolver was younger and I thought it was some time travel shit
