yeah didn't understand that either, especially since they had him still asking for the match earlier in the same night... Woulda made more sense to have McMahon just name Ryback and maybe have Cena get a little angry at the decision... have a feeling we'll still see Cena at HIAC, making the save after Lesnar interferes

Not much of a passing of the torch, a half hearted one at best. Questioning his want of the title is a bit of an odd way to build a guy up. Would have been better if Cena came out, said that he was injured and then said that there is a great replacement for him in Ryback. Could have talked him up a lot more and really have given him a rub.

Anyway it isn't a passing of the torch, thought that they normally occured in matches when the veteran actually puts the new guy over. Cena will eventually pass the torch but someone needs to get up to his level before it can happen.
