- For the 14th straight week, the final segment of TNA's Impact Wrestling has not posted a quarter-hour rating over a 0.9 rating.

For this past week's show, the final segment with Bully Ray and World Heavyweight Champion Eric Young was the second lowest quarter-hour of the show with a 0.88 rating. The lowest quarter-hour of the show came in the segment before the main event with a Madison Rayne and Brittany segment and the beginning of Young vs. Ray. That quarter-hour did a 0.83 rating.

The final segment of Impact has averaged a quarter-hour rating over 1.0 less than 5 times this year so far.

Time for a change?

Even with those terrible ratings, I think iMPACT is still Spike's highest rated show. Despite them not signing a new deal yet with a few months left, I'd be surprised if they let them go when their contract runs out.

A change is needed but it was also needed a a couple of years ago.

- This Thursday's episode of TNA Impact Wrestling drew 993,000 viewers, down from last week's 1,079,000. This is the lowest number since November 2013.

This week's show scored an 0.84 rating, down from last week's 0.89 rating.

TNA should be proud of themselves. They managed to do worse.

- Last night's episode of TNA Impact Wrestling, a live show with the fallout from Slammiversary, scored a 1.01 cable rating with 1.330 million viewers.

Both of these numbers are up from last week's 1.005 million viewers and 0.89 rating. Impact was #36 in overall viewers for the night on cable.

Finally some good news. And I do mean finally.

- Eric Young's final Impact Wrestling main event segment as TNA World Heavyweight Champion was not the show-low quarter-hour segment for the first time as it drew a 1.0 rating. The show-low quarter rating was a 0.96 and came for the first half of Abyss & Willow vs. Samoa Joe & Austin Aries vs. The Wolves. Impact opened with a 1.10 rating coming off the lead-in from Cops and as noted, drew an overall rating of 1.03.

Abyss & Willow vs. Samoa Joe & Austin Aries vs. The Wolves was a really good match I thought, surprised to see that as the lowest rating.

Thursday's episode of Impact Wrestling from the Manhattan Center in New York City garnered 1.42 million viewers, according to TV By The Numbers.

This was the biggest audience for the show since this past February. Viewership was up from last week's show, which averaged 1.403 million viewers.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Aug. 13, 2014) – The Aug. 7 episode of IMPACT WRESTLING, TNA’s flagship program airing Thursday nights at 9/8c on Spike TV, drew 1.6 million viewers (P2+, +3 Rating), the largest audience since mid-February of this year. The episode was also up against six nationally or regionally televised NFL pre-season games, the first of the NFL season.

Historically, IMPACT WRESTLING ratings are highest during Q1, however in Q3 2014, IMPACT WRESTLING has experienced a steady increase in total viewership and key demos that are exceeding ratings from Q1 2014, and rivaling Q1 ratings from previous years. To date, Q3 2014 ratings have attracted more viewers in the highly sought after Men 18-34 demo since Q1 2012, and the highest ratings for P2+, P 18-49 and Men 18-49 since Q1 2013.

Well that's good but they're still being thrown off spike

The 8/20 edition of Impact did 852,000 viewers on its new night, down from the 1,126,000 viewers it did for its last Thursday edition. I expected the drop this week but with only a commitment through the end of the year from Spike TV I hope they can get back up to where they had been on Thursdays soon.
