Judgment Day: JBL defeats Mysterio to become World Champion and US Champion. Mysterio hit the 619 but was caught in midair doing the West Coast Pop and got Powerbombed. Rey landed awkwardly, injuring him for some time.
Smackdown: JBL boasted about beating Mysterio and injuring him. Kurt Angle came out to the ring and told JBL to put his money where his mouth is and defend the title tonight. JBL told Angle he has to prove he is worthy to fight JBL so GM Long made a number 1 contender's battle royal, with the winner facing JBL for the belt at ECW One Night Stand. The surprise participant in the match was Sabu, who said that he would win the WHC in his yard. Randy Orton eliminated Sabu, leaving Orton, Angle and Undertaker in the ring. Taker eliminated Orton, and then Angle attacked Undertaker and threw him over the rope. Angle vs JBL at ONS.
Over the following weeks JBL was calling Angle weak, and said it was all a fluke, so one week before ONS it was a tag match, JBL/Orton vs Sabu/Angle. JBL got a steel chair in the ring whilst Orton distracted the ref, vut Sabu ducked under the chair shot and dropkicked the chair into JBL's face, letting Angle hit the Angle Slam and pin JBL.
ECW: One Night Stand: JBL retains after nailing Angle with the title belt. Orton gets beat by Sabu.
Smackdown: JBL says that he can beat anybody in the business today, because he beat Angle. Angle comes out to challenge JBL again, and then Orton comes out and RKO's Angle onto the concrete floor (setting up a rivalry between them).
Smackdown: RVD comes out to the ring the following week and tells JBL to watch his back, as he has the briefcase. JBL says its all talk and ignores RVD's threats.
Vengeance: JBL didnt partake in a match as he was sidelined for a few weeks with a minor injury.
Smackdown: GM Long books a non-title match the following week, between RVD and JBL. JBL gets himself counted out in the match. Long says it will be RVD vs. JBL at Vengeance for the title. Mysterio also returned to action, wrestling against some jobbers.
Great American Bash: JBL hits the Clothesline from hell to defeat Van Dam, after the match Mysterio comes out and says he wants to cash in his rematch clause next week.
Smackdown: Mysterio and JBL ends in a DQ after JBL lays out Mysterio with his World Title. GM Long says that at Summerslam JBL will defend both the US Title and the World Title, because he will face Mysterio twice.
Summerslam: United States Championship:
JBL has a garbage can and is looking to hit Mysterio with it while the ref is down. Mysterio drops JBL and 619's the garbage can into his face before pinning him to become US Champion.
World Championship:
JBL was in 619 position again, but he slid out of the way as Mysterio went for his finisher. JBL then hit the Clothesline from hell and managed to keep his World Heavyweight Championship.
Smackdown: Rey Mysterio defeated Ken Kennedy. After the match, Mysterio said that he may not have won the World Heavyweight Title, but he did get the US Title. JBL runs into Undertaker backstage and says "Watch where you are walking jackass".
Smackdown: The next week JBL cashed in his rematch clause against Mysterio for the US Title. JBL looked like he was going to win, but the lights went out and when they went back on JBL was in 619 position. Mysterio hit the 619 and retained his title.
Smackdown: The next week JBL demanded a match against The Undertaker, so GM Long said that he could have it. At Unfogiven for the World Championship.
Unforgiven: Undertaker gets JBL in the Triangle Choke, but JBL reverses it into a pin. JBL celbrates with his title, but is interupted by Rob Van Dam who cashes in his MitB. He throws the case to JBL, then kicks the case into his face. The ref rings the bell as Van Dam climbs the rope. He hits the Five * Frog Splash, and pins to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. RVD celebrates with his belt and says that he is leaving ECW, and staying on Smackdown.
Smackdown: JBL says that he is going to cash his rematch clause at No Mercy. Undertaker comes out and challenges JBL for his number 1 contender spot, but JBL refuses, and Clotheslines the Deadman. JBL defeats lots of high profile stars over the next few weeks, and there is no sign of Taker.
No Mercy: JBL powerbombs Van Dam, but he then hears the GONG and he sees Undertaker on the stage. JBL shouts abuse at The Phenom, then turns around into a Van-Driver and gets pinned. RVD celebrates with his title.
Smackdown: Undertaker says that JBL was a fool for beating him down a month ago and he will Rest in Peace for what he did. JBL comes out and stares Taker down, then spits on him. Taker grabs JBL's throat, so JBL runs. GM Long announced that the two men would join Kurt Angle as one of RVD's possible opponents at Cyber Sunday. The week before Cyber Sunday there was a triple threat match between RVD's possible opponents. Undertaker tombstoned JBL, but then he got Angle Slammed, and Kurt pinned JBL for the victory.
Cyber Sunday: Kurt Angle was picked to fight Rob Van Dam, but he lost. JBL and Taker had to team together to face current tag champs MNM. JBL left the ring, forcing Taker to fight on his own. Undertaker tombstoned Nitro, then hit the Last Ride on Mercury to pick up the win, gaining himslef and Bradshaw the tag titles.
Smackdown: JBL said that he won the tag titles all by himself, with no help from Undertaker. The crowd give massive heat for this, and the other half of the tag champs comes out. He and JBL go face to face when GM Long comes out and says that the champs will have to defend their titles tonight against MNM.
Undertaker double chokeslammed the former champions, when JBL came in and clotheslined The Phenom, then put Nitro on top of him, making MNM the tag champs once again.
The following week GM Long makes a match for Survivor Series, a casket match between JBL and Undertaker.
Both men cut promos each week on the other, although Takers are much shorter.
Survivor Series: Rob Van Dam leads Team Smackdown against Team ECW. Van Dam and Bobby Lashley are the two men left, when Paul Heyman attacks RVD with a steel chair, letting Lashley get the win.
JBL and Undertaker fight in a classic, where the casket is wheeled into the backstage area by JBL. Taker gets his head smashed into a car in the parking lot, and then gets powerbombed into the casket. JBL then gets into his limo and smashes into the casket, surely killing The Undertaker.
Smackdown: JBL comes out and shows the crowd footage of The Undertaker's demise. He says that he is the man who can beat anyone. Batista's music hits and the crowd goes wild. Batista says that he has been injured for nearly a year and when he returns he see's JBL boasting about how good he is. Batista demands JBL to shut up. JBL replies by telling Batista to stop challenging people who are better than him. Batista says he knows he is better than JBL, but he doesnt want to fight him, because his main priority is regaining the title he never lost.
Later that night Paul Heyman came out and told Rob Van Dam that he made a big mistake turning against ECW. Van Dam came out and told Heyman that ECW isnt what it was, its now just part of WWE. Lashley came out and attacked Van Dam, but then Batista came out and made the save.
The next week it was Batista vs. Lashley, with the winner geting a World Title shot at Armageddon. Batista hit the Batista Bomb on Lashley and pinned, 1....2....JBL pulled the ref out of the ring. Batista then chased Bradshaw around the ring. Batista caught the Wrestling God, but JBL got Tista with a thumb to the eye, then a Clothsline from Hell on the concrete floor. Lashley won the match and got to face RVD for the title at Armageddon.
The next week Batista came out and demanded a match with Bradshaw. JBL said that Batista wasnt going to get his match. GM Long came out and said that at Armageddon, it would be Batista vs. JBL, with the winner going on to the Royal Rumble to fight RVD for the title.
Armageddon: JBL vs Batista:
Batista ducks a clothesline from hell, and reverses it into a spinebuster. As Bradshaw gets up, Batista hits The Batista Bomb on him for the win. Rob Van Dam beats Bobby Lashley.
Smackdown: JBL is kayfabe injured after the Batista Bomb at Armageddon. Batista starts to feud with Van Dam. When JBL comes back a week before the Rumble he beats Matt Hardy in a Rumble qualifying match, by visciously assaulting him.
Royal Rumble: Batista beats RVD for the World Heavyweight Championship.
In the Rumble match, JBL enters 29th. He clears Cena, Edge and Orton from the ring, leaving just him and Triple H. They both stare at each other and point at the Wrestlemania 23 sign. Then, The Undertaker's music hits, and The Phenom comes down the ramp. JBL is stunned, because he thought that the Deadman was truly dead. Undertaker grabs JBL by the throat then throws him out of the ring. Triple H then tries to throw Taker out, but he reverses. The two carry on fighting for a few minutes, until Taker finally eliminates HHH, getting a title shot at Mania.
Smackdown: Batista comes out and celebrates with his new title. Undertaker then comes out and says Batista will lose it in two months. JBL comes out, and says that no Mania main event is complete without the Wrestling God. Batista says that there is no way he is going anywhere near the World Title. JBL says that he beat Undertaker at Survivor Series, and he ripped him in half with a limo. Undertaker says "I'm here aint I" which gets a good reaction. JBL challenges Batista and Undertaker to a tag team match, JBL teaming with a partner of his choice. If JBL wins, it becomes a fatal-four way at Mania. They accept so it is booked as the main event.
Later on Tista and Taker come out, followed by JBL. JBL says his partner is a man not seen in the WWE for a few years...CHRIS JERICHO! Jericho comes out to a mixed reaction from the fans, but the mixed reaction soon turns to boos as Y2J attacks Batista from behind. JBL and Jericho win, making it a fatal four way at Wrestlemania. During the match Undertaker hit a Tombstone on JBL, but then Jericho hit a new move on Taker, the Codebreaker. Jericho got the World Champion in the Walls of Jericho, and made him tap out.
Next week on Smackdown, GM Long says that it will indeed be a fatal four way match at Wrestlemania 23, with Batista's World Heavyweight Championship on the line. Later that night RVD qualifys for Money in the Bank by beating Kane. JBL defeats London w/ Kendrick. London was jumping through the air, when he was caught by a Big Boot and pinned. Batista defeats Chris Jericho. After the match Undertaker comes out.
Next week GM Long announces that at No Way Out, Batista would defend his World Championship against Chris Jericho, and Undertaker would fight JBL.
No Way Out: Undertaker defeats JBL after a Chokeslam. After the match, Taker hit a Tombstone onto the steel steps. Batista defeats Chris Jericho after a Batista Bomb in the middle of the ring.
Smackdown: JBL comes out with Jericho. He says that the Undertaker showed him injustice when he drove his head into the steel. JBL said he will seek his revenge, and lock him in a Casket again! Batista comes out and tells them to stop whining. Y2J shouts at him, then Batista spears him. JBL clotheslines The Animal. JBL raises his arms, and The Undertaker comes from behind and chokeslams JBL. Then Taker helps Batista back to his feet, before tombstoning him into the mat. Then Taker raises up the World Title. Over the next few weeks the four men beat some good stars between them. A week before Mania, JBL comes out and says he will be the man to end The Undertakers streak. Jericho comes out and says he will be the man to take Batistas title. Batista comes out and says he will be the man walking out of Mania as champ. Taker comes out and says You will all be the men to, REST IN PEACE!!
Wrestlemania 23: Fatal Four Way: World Heavyweight Championship.
Undertaker chokeslams Batista through the announce table, and Jericho hits the Codebreaker on JBL on the outside. Jericho stares at Taker, who smashes him round the head with a right hand. Undertaker tombstones Jericho onto the concrete. JBL gets up, so Taker throws him into the ring. Taker goes into the ring and tombstones JBL. 1...2....3 NEW CHMPION. Undertaker raises his belt in the air as Wrestlemania comes to a close.
Smackdown: Batista orders for a rematch at Backlash, him and Undertaker 1 on 1, which he gets. Long announces there will be a number 1 contenders Elimination Chamber at Backlash, with the winner facing the World Champion at Judgement Day. The Qualifiers would take place over the next few weeks.
Two weeks later JBL had to face Kurt Angle in an Elimination Chamber Qualifier. JBL beat Angle with a Clothesline from Hell. Later that week Angle signed with TNA.
Backlash: Elimination Chamber Match: JBL vs Chris Jericho vs Randy Orton vs Rey Mysterio vs Mark Henry vs MVP
JBL and Mysterio are the two men left in the ring. Bradshaw is bleeding after being thrown into glass earlier in the match. Mysterio gets the drop toe hold, but JBL has his hands on the ropes. As Mysterio goes for the 619, Bradshaw rolls out of the way. He then Powerbombs Mysterio 1....2.....3!!! JBL celebrates as he know he is going to Judgement Day.
Later that night, Undertaker defeats Batista to retain the World Championship.
Smackdown: JBL says that he can now truly be known as the Wrestling God, after withstanding the brutal Chamber Match. This week he gets to pick The Undertakers poison, so he picks Great Khali!
Khali brutalizes the Deadman, but the The Phenom comes back and gets some shots in on Khali. JBL isnt happy about it, so he runs in the ring and attacks Taker. Then a two on one beat down ensues.
Next week Taker has to pick JBL's poison, so he chooses his brother Kane. The match lasts a while, and in the end JBL wins with a Clothesline from Hell.
The following week JBL teams with Deuce n Domino to take on Undertaker and Londrick. Undertaker gets the pin over Deuce to win the match.
Judgement Day: The match between JBL and Taker swings both ways, but in the end Undertaker wins with a Last Ride.
Smackdown: JBL gets into a mini feud with United States Champion Matt Hardy. Bradshaw claims he should hold that belt. They have a non-title matchup, which Bradshaw wins. The following week, JBL teams with No 1 Contender (for the WHC) Randy Orton, to take on Matt Hardy and Undertaker in a tag team match. Jericho comes out and says he will be the man to take Batistas title. Batista comes out and says he will be the man walking out of Mania as champ. Taker comes out and says You will all be the men to, REST IN PEACE!!
Wrestlemania 23: Fatal Four Way: World Heavyweight Championship.
Undertaker chokeslams Batista through the announce table, and Jericho hits the Codebreaker on JBL on the outside. Jericho stares at Taker, who smashes him round the head with a right hand. Undertaker tombstones Jericho onto the concrete. JBL gets up, so Taker throws him into the ring. Taker goes into the ring and tombstones JBL. 1...2....3 NEW CHMPION. Undertaker raises his belt in the air as Wrestlemania comes to a close.
Smackdown: Batista orders for a rematch at Backlash, him and Undertaker 1 on 1, which he gets. Long announces there will be a number 1 contenders Elimination Chamber at Backlash, with the winner facing the World Champion at Judgement Day. The Qualifiers would take place over the next few weeks.
Two weeks later JBL had to face Kurt Angle in an Elimination Chamber Qualifier. JBL beat Angle with a Clothesline from Hell. Later that week Angle signed with TNA.
Backlash: Elimination Chamber Match: JBL vs Chris Jericho vs Randy Orton vs Rey Mysterio vs Mark Henry vs MVP
JBL and Mysterio are the two men left in the ring. Bradshaw is bleeding after being thrown into glass earlier in the match. Mysterio gets the drop toe hold, but JBL has his hands on the ropes. As Mysterio goes for the 619, Bradshaw rolls out of the way. He then Powerbombs Mysterio 1....2.....3!!! JBL celebrates as he know he is going to Judgement Day.
Later that night, Undertaker defeats Batista to retain the World Championship.
Smackdown: JBL says that he can now truly be known as the Wrestling God, after withstanding the brutal Chamber Match. This week he gets to pick The Undertakers poison, so he picks Great Khali!
Khali brutalizes the Deadman, but the The Phenom comes back and gets some shots in on Khali. JBL isnt happy about it, so he runs in the ring and attacks Taker. Then a two on one beat down ensues.
Next week Taker has to pick JBL's poison, so he chooses his brother Kane. The match lasts a while, and in the end JBL wins with a Clothesline from Hell.
The following week JBL teams with Deuce n Domino to take on Undertaker and Londrick. Undertaker gets the pin over Deuce to win the match.
Judgement Day: The match between JBL and Taker swings both ways, but in the end Undertaker wins with a Last Ride.
Smackdown: JBL gets into a mini feud with United States Champion Matt Hardy. Bradshaw claims he should hold that belt. They have a non-title matchup, which Bradshaw wins. The following week, JBL teams with No 1 Contender (for the WHC) Randy Orton, to take on Matt Hardy and Undertaker in a tag team match. Orton lays out Taker with an RKO, and Bradshaw hits Hardy with the clothesline for the win. JBL vs Matt Hardy is booked for One Night Stand, in a Loser retires match. The week before ONS, Bradshaw attacks Matt's brother Jeff backstage, sending a message to the US Champion. Matt said that JBL will have to retire this Sunday.

Hardy gets a clean win over the former World Heavyweight Champion, using a Twist of Fate to retain his title. Matt then continues to beat down the Wrestling God with his ECW Chums. JBL walks up the ramp as the crowd sing "na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, GOODBYE"
