I could maybe see them adding like, the SD Womens Championship. But nothing more than that. Like I understand what you’re talking about. But with the two Rumbles that’s already like, 2 hours and probably 10-20 minutes taken up. You know Roman vs Owens is getting 15-20. Bray and Knight I’m sure go short, and Alexa and Belair could be quick or could last. But it’s basically a 3 hour show or a bit more.
yeah like I said, it's just a different approach that to me, seems much inferior to how their competition does PPVs. I understand the rumble is a unique situation too, but their last few ppvs were super short too

side note: this is why having two rumbles on the same night is BAD

I’ll be honest. As much as I love AEW. :lol or enjoyed WK, I could do for some shorter PPVs sometimes, which is one reason I’m fine with how WWE does it. I can watch, enjoy, but not feel tired at the end

yeah we def wont agree there. I like getting my moneys worth with AEW, and all the matches are always excellent.

and the reason WWE gets away with short cards is because they have 12 a year AND more importantly, they dont cost any money to consumers who have Peacock. with 4 ppvs a year, you damn right the cards better be stacked.

Well I mean :lol I didn’t say with AEW. What I’m saying is with AEW being so long, I’m fine with having WWE having shorter shows. If AEW had more than 4 shows a year(or 5 if forbidden door stays) I’d probably change my mind :lol

yeah I don't understands that logic either @StormTrooper 85 (why they stopped preshows having matches). While it's not an issue for home viewers, I have to say, feels like you get very little for PPV live tickets.

edit: at least when comparing companies. AEW you get 10+ matches for you money and its cheaper than WWE. Impact you get a ppv and sometimes a taping for dirt cheap. even if I liked WWE idk if I would shell out multiple hundreds to watch 4-6 matches tops and sit on my hands during the million stoppages
Yeah kickoff show needs at least one match. to get the crowd hyped.

But as someone who has been to WWEPLEs, it's not a bad deal. Mania is still the best live wrestling show I've ever been to, even without kickoff matches.

I did enjoy the 2020 Rumble live even with only 4 regular matches.

I won't speak on AEW PPV live as I havne't been, but AEW TV live makes WWE PLEs look fast moving. Sure the in-ring action is fast paced, but Rampage after Dynamite takes about 2 hours to record 4 matches (literally there's 10 minutes between matches it's stupid). And even Dynamite during commercial breaks they just sit there doing nothing it's awkward.

I've been to a lot of live Dynamites and that's not true at all lol if a match isn't going on, Justin Roberts is interacting with the crowd, reading signs and stuff. And theyre super quick with changing over time Rampage, it's taped as if it's live so it only lasts an hour and there's probably 10-15 minutes of changeover after dynamite

Also Tony comes and hypes the crowd up before both Dynamite and Rampage while they're doing the set changes lol my main complaint is there's never a good time to go pee if you need to :lol

cant really agree with the last part, though obviously respect your opinion on it. I've been to both live dynamite and Forbidden Door. I CAN** say with full confidence there was ZERO downtime and the crowd was hot as hell the entirety of both events. Rampage also does NOT take 2 hours to record at all, not sure where you heard that. the only extra stuff would be AEW Dark BEFORE dynamite, and that's entirely optional.
