Gene is sitting in the Piper's Pit set and he's sombre and sad. He's says what we're about to see is one of the most heinous acts to ever take place in the WWF, and it's time to put the kids to bed. The famous piper's pit airs and you need to watch it because words will never do it justice.



Coming from that, Tito Santana is interviewed by Gene. He's at loss for words and calls this is the biggest insult someone could do to someone, and it's time for Piper to pay his dues for all his crimes.

One of the single best angles ever. Enough said.

Match#1 Rocky Johnson vs Lenny Kean
Rocky is a little better in singles squashes as works the arm and does fine power stuff for a couple of minutes. He wins with his sunset flip.

Match#2 The Iron Sheik w/Freddie Blassie vs Terry Daniels
Sheiky goes hold for hold with the kid to try and humiliate him, but Terry holds his own and is able to even take him down!! Sarge comes out and watches at ringside. Sheik turns it into a slug fest and batters the kid and spits on him, and hurts him badly just to send a message. He slaps him really fucking hard a few times and takes him to school in ways he's doesn't need to, but he's a horrible human and can't help himself. He forearms him right in the mouth and loads up his boot, AND HE KICKS HIM IN FACE AND TRIES TO COME OFF THE TOP BUT SARGE FINALLY HAS ENOUGH AND SHOVES HIM OFF FOR THE DQ. Amazing angle.

Jesse is famous for being lazy as fuck and hiding it by being "smart and not taking bumps" when he's actually a genius who uses stooging to avoid ever having to work hard. He wins in a minute with his backbreaker

Match#1 Paul Orndroff vs Tony Garea
Fuck. Goes for a few minutes as Tony isn't going to get nuked like he should, which also means he has runs of offence and it's not exciting at all. Paul gets eaten up and has to win with a flash cradle. Christ.

Match#2 Jesse Ventura vs SD Jones
The Lazy man meets the bad man. Jesse works the arm in very lazy fashion and i would be bothered if it was against anyone else, but this is a "fuck both men quite frankly" situation, so it's cool and funny as hell to watch it unfold. Jesse wins with a bad running elbow to the chest which is the only bump he took.

Post match, Jesse tries to attack but SD runs him off.

Piper's Pit with Lou Albano. Lou gives him an award from the Piper fan club for all the wonderful things he's done for wrestling and for bagpipe music. Piper brings up Wolf calling him a liar and a cheat, and he says he did a little searching and he called up Burt Reynolds and got Cyndi's number and she'll be here next week. Lou is very happy.

They replay Sheik/Daniels in full.

Match#3 Bob Orton vs Salvatore Bellomo
Bob attacks his knee and throws him to the floor to further hurt him, and then he jumps off the top rope onto it!! He drags him back in and wins with the Snowplow

Gorilla & Gene are on the call, and i can't wait for Heenan & Jesse to get on the booth.

Match#1 Don Muraco w/Mr Fuji vs Tony Garea
Hell yes, Fuji is now dressed as Oddjob in the full suit and he's managing and not stinking up the ring anymore. Gorilla calls him a penguin and mentions how he's dressed, so it's all happening. Also, Don is finally back full time after months away, and holy shit i've missed him. He breaks out the stooging and nonsense to start like running away after having his hair pulled, and complaining to the ref about everything Tony does. Don catches him with a Belly to Belly to win. Bad match, but hell yeah for everything else.

Match#2 George Steele w/Mr Fuji vs Jose Luis Rivera
Oh no, it's not all good news on the return front with this goof being bought back. Bad squash as always with terrible wild man shit, which looks even worse now that Buzz is here doing it way better. Animal wins with the Hammerlock.

Match#3 North South Connection (c) vs The Wild Samoans (WWF World Tag Team Championship-2/3 falls)
The fellas are now babyface out of nowhere, which is far better for everyone after the entire well ran dry for the heel run over the last year. Awesome babyface shine to start as they overpower them and make fools of them for a while, and the stooging and bumps are fantastic. Dick in particular takes wild, wild bumps for a man of his size. Adonis finally chop blocks Sika's knee and goes to work on it. Great control seg from NSC with brutal shit and some wonderful shit talking from Dick, on top of some good selling from the big man. Adonis hits a nasty slam on to his knee and pins him. Albano walks out and he sides with the NSC!!! Adonis keeps attacking the hurt Samoan and it's good shit for a while, and then Afa gets the hot tag and goes insane with strikes and bashes the hell out of them. He kills Dick with the fucking Samoan Drop to even it up. Albano comes back out and tries to make friends with the Samoans again, and they stare him down until he runs off. Afa now controls Dick when the match starts again and it's a sweet angry babyface mauling. Adonis gets his ass kicked as well and it all breaks down as it normally seem to do. Sika gets too angry and hits the ref for the DQ, and the champs retain.

In the back, Lord Alfred is with Albano. He asks where his loyalties lie after what he tried to do, and Lou shouts he's only loyal to the green and he doesn't care about anyone or anything other than that. He'll side with whoever makes him richer. God bless

Match#4 Jesse Ventura vs SD Jones
Oh cool, a return match no one wanted in the most important place the WWF runs. Jesse does all the stalling and bullshit and i respect him for being this smart at his job, but it's still wasted on a turd like Stupid Dumb Jones. Backbreaker ends it.
I ain't got time to bleed.

Before the IC title match, Fink introduces Tito's mum in the crowd.

Match#5 Tito Santana (c) vs Greg Valentine (WWF Intercontiental Championship)
Here we fucking go!!! Tito is all fired up and attacks the arm right away and yanks the hell out of it in really gross and hard to watch ways. Not sure why's so mad at Hammer, but holy shit they match up incredibly well together. They tumble out of the ring and it turns into a great punch off with Tito dropping him and going back for the arm as soon he can. Even better work now as he's more fired up and destroys the arm, and Hammer's selling is fantastic. Hammer manages to catch him with an atomic drop and he beats the piss out of him in revenge. Nasty body shots that really fuck him up, and we get another wonderful Tito face in peril seg with everything that makes him one of the best faces to ever do it. Tito doges a charge, AND HE GOES NUTS WITH PUNCHES AND STOMPS AND BEATS THE SHIT OUT OF HAMMER, BUT GREG POKES HIS EYE AND RAMS HIM INTO THE POST TO STOP HIM. Tito won't fucking die and keeps fighting back and it turns into a battle of attrition and it's such a blast watching do everything and anything to win. Hammer runs him into the corner and gets a hold of Tito's arm in revenge for a while, and it's brutal as shit as he attacks with elbows and knees along with yanking and pulling it. Tito gets desperate and kicks Hammer in the dick to finally stop him, and MSG explodes in joy. Tito goes crazy with his comeback and pinballs Hammer all over the ring, but Hammer backdrops him to the concrete and hits a double stomp to him on the floor and slams him down, and runs back in to win via countout.

What a fucking match and the best possible start to the feud.

In the back, Hayes is standing by with a half dead Tito. He says he's sick and tired of the like of men like him trying to end his career and he wants that coward back in the ring and he'll make him pay. He cuts a promo in Spanish and his eyes go super fucking wide and crazed, and it's a scary and sick as hell moment. He says Greg had to break the rules to even have a chance, and he will fight his battle and make him pay. Al says he's a winner in his eyes.

Coming from that, Al is with Gorilla. Gino says Greg deserves all the credit for his skills in ring, and Tito is a tremendous champion who deserves nothing but respect. Ok then.

Match#6 Andre The Giant vs David Schultz
Doc tries to sandbag on a hip toss and forces Andre to throw him as hard as possible, so Andre stomps on his hands and REALLY fucks him up. I can't tell if they planned it or if Doc wanted to pull some shit, but Andre is mad and hurts him in so many different and hideous ways. A classic case of a body not being able to bend that way but Andre wants it to happen, so it happens. Doc gets next to nothing in as Andre shuts him down time and time again and batters the hell out of him. He kills him with Tremors to win.

Match#7 Mad Dog Vachon vs Steve Lombardi
Mani wish Luna was here. I don't mind the Vachon's at all, but Luna is one of the wrestlers i attached myself as a kid and i've always loved her. But anyway, her uncle is here and kills poor young Steve with some fun stomps and choking. He's washed as fuck, but the brains are still there to make it work. Lombardi helps as always. Dog wins with a brainbuster

Match#10 Sgt Slaughter vs The Iron Sheik (Boot Camp Match)
SARGE RUSHES THE RING AND SMACKS SHEIKY BABY IN THE FACE WITH IT. HE GRABS SHELK'S RIDING CROP AND WHIPS HIM WITH IT AND THE CROWD COMES UNGLUED WITH EACH SHOT. He hits him right in the face and throat, and then whips him across the mouth. He uses the helmet as well and Sheik is beaten half to death. Sheik manages to throw him over the ring post and Sarge lands on his face and he's busted open, and Sheiky hits him with a chair and strangles him on the floor. Awesome control seg from Sheik as he uses a belt to whip him and just kicks the fuck out of him like a dirty shithead that wants to kill a man. Sheik chokes him with the belt and Sarge turns purple as he fights for his very life. Sheik loads the boot and hits him in the face with it, but Sarge finally throws him to the floor to hurt him, and both men have incredible selling of all the pain they've been through. Sarge's face is smacked off the ring post and Sheik spits on him and kicks him in the face with the loaded boot and Sarge is busted open. Insane blade job as his entire face and chest are covered in blood, and Sheik punches and bites at him in one of the meanest control segs ever. Sarge's selling is amazing as hell. He climbs up the top AND HE COMES OFF WITH A BOOT TO SHEIK'S HEAD AND BUSTS HIM OPEN AND SHEIK'S CUT IS EVEN MORE INSANE AND GROSS. Sarge's comeback is incredible as he uses wind up punches and kicks and pinballs him all over the place, and Sheik's selling is Amazing. We get some tremendous wobbly KO selling from both of them as they're running out of blood and time, and they both know it. They fight to the death trying to end it and we get a ton of momentum shifts as neither will go down that easily. Sheik takes his boot off and swings it at him, but Sarge ducks and kills him with a Lariat! He crawls to the boot on the mat and gets it, AND HE RUNS AT SHEIK AND HITS HIM IN THE FUCKING FACE AND GETS THE 3. HOLY SHIT. A GODDAMN ALL TIME CLASSIC.

Blair shows no fear and takes it right to Doc and throws him off as he's here for a right, and it's the last thing Schultz was expecting. Doc gets mad as a result and keeps making mistakes and Blair can slip stuff in. Doc finally catches him with a backbreaker to start his control seg and it's good stuff, and a million times better after the last two bad matches. Blair's comeback rules and he gets close, so Doc flips his legs over and grabs the ropes as he pins him to steal it.

Piper's Pit. Piper is very sombre and sad that David Wolf is a liar and a bum who didn't keep his word, but HE DID AND HE BRINGS OUT CYNDI. Piper says he admires her being number 1 just like him. Cyndi is very happy to be here and says hi to the all the fans, and Piper compliments her hair and dress. He says Lou has helped to take her from nothing to stardom, and she says she loves him but he's not her manager. Lou walks on and demands she tell the truth about how he made her, and she's very confused. Lou says he wrote the lines for Time after Time, and he wants his credit. He tells her to tell the world that women belong in the kitchen and men like should be on top. He wants her say women are slime and men are the best. Piper agrees and says Lou must be telling the truth. They stand over Cyndi and try to make her say it, but she refuses AND SHE HITS LOU WITH HER BAG AND HITS PIPER AS WELL, AND WOLF RUNS ON AND PULLS HER OFF. Incredible angle.

They go hold for hold and it's an even battle to start before Orton says fuck it and hits Tito in the face and turns it into one of those fights. Tito meets him right there and throws punches back and meets him blow for blow, so Bob gets dirty again and kicks him off the ropes to crotch him! Tito gets a flash forearm and knocks them both outside the ring and it goes to a double countout

In an amazing pre-tape, Piper visits Cyndi's recording studio to get an apology. She refuses to say sorry for what she did, and he calls her a lowlife that took it too far. She says Lou made her mother cry with his comments, and she carried him and made him somebody in his world. SHE CHALLENGES HIM TO FIND A FEMALE WRESTLER TO FIGHT HER LADY, BECAUSE SHE'S GOING TO TAKE THIS FAT BAG OF WIND DOWN. Piper begs her not to do it because she's going to get badly hurt. We go back to Piper and a shirtless Lou eating a banana sitting on a couch, and Lou calls her a disgrace and he's going to show the world she's a liar and a cheat and he accepts her challenge. God Yes.




Match#3 Tito Santana vs Greg Valentine w/Lou Albano
Hell yes. Tito keeps his cool and dominates the arm like he did in NYC, and Hammer is mad at being taken down again, so he punches him in the face to take over. AMAZING. He beats the hell out of him and Tito's selling is incredible even for the short time of this match. Gross stuff from Hammer working the neck and dropping elbows on him. Tito makes a sick comeback with all his fire and then some. They fight on the apron and the ref is counting, so when Tito knocks Hammer back in and hits a splash it doesn't count as the ref counted him out. Booooo

7 minutes for some damn reason. Man, i can't wait for the era where all of these goes 2/3 minutes and not this long stuff. Still, it's a good beating as Hammer is the best and isn't going to miss during his peak. Also helps that the kid takes a wonderful beating to help the match. Figure Four ends it

Mr Wonderful is here. Gene demands to know if the rumours about him getting phone calls at all hours from Christie Brinkley. He says he was happy with her until she leaked it to the world and he's done with her after this. Gene is very sorry about that, so Wonderful calls him a blabber mouth. He calls Ivan Putski half a man and then starts picking on Gene lying about his height and his taxes, and Gene tells him to stop. AMAZING. Wonderful flexes and says the women dream of touching and all the men dream of looking like him. What a guy.

Post match, Hogan comes out to the ring where Jose is still dead and being checked on. LMAO WHAT AN ASSHOLE. Hogan checks on him to save face, and Fuji distracts him so Steele can attack him from behind!!! Hogan hulks up and they run for it. Hogan helps Jose up and takes him out of the ring. What a nice man.

Hulk Hogan (c) vs Paul Orndorff (WWF World Championship-7/7/84)
Paul tries to stall so Hogan attacks from behind and pinballs him all over like a real dick. Amazing bumping and stooging from Paula, and the crowd is insane for every second of it and it's rad as hell. Hogan keeps it up and while his offence is pretty limited at this point, everything is brutal as fuck because of the effort he puts into it all, and Paul's bumping is the cherry on the top if it. Wonderful rakes the eyes and kicks him in the ribs and smacks him with a chair to bust him wide open!!!! Wonderful goes crazy on the cut on the top of his head with punches and kicks, and Hogan's KO selling is next level. He fights like hell to comeback and even bites Paul at a point just to get him to stop, and it's a cool little thing that fits really well into the beating he's taken. He makes his comeback and knocks the piss out of him until Wonderful hits him with a nasty forearm to stop him and take back over, and in a really cool moment he's able to keep fighting back no matter what Hogan tries. He even comes right back after the first hulk up in a massive moment. Hogan rams him into the corner and boots him and hits. GROSS Legdrop to win

Dick fucking Murdoch. He says the title is very attractive and it's on two attractive men like him and Adonis. He rants about melon farmers in Boston who hate them and want dirty freaks like Tito and Slaughter to beat them up. He rants about the air being terrible in Boston.

Match#3 Paul Orndorff vs Brian Blair
Fuck yes. JIP, but it doesn't seem like we lost much of anything. Awesome mat work from Bee man and he refuses to take any of Wonderful's shit, and he controls the arm for a while. Paula's selling is very good as his stooging again, and he;'s easily became one of the best dudes in the entire company. They fight on the floor and Wonderful drops him over the rail throat first and beats the crap out of him in a fun control seg before Bee dude makes a good comeback. He runs in for a knee but he gets caught and murdered with the Stun Gun and that's that.

Sweet Jesus, this did not need 6 minutes. So slow and plodding. Andre catches Samula jumping off the top with a boot, and that gets the pin.

Piper's Pit with Terry Daniels. He's in full military getup and i assume that Sarge took him as his new son. Piper talks about all the army movies with people screaming at him, and he wants to know if he'd actually let a geek do that to him. Terry says it's mental toughness and it helps him handle anything. Piper gets super excited and says he's never done a thing he was told his entire life, and he couldn't join because he could never take orders. He calls him nuts for being willing to get shot. Terry says he loves his country and he loves America. Piper shakes his head and leaves.

Vince has infamously purchased the GCW/WCW time slot from Jim Barnett in a backdoor deal to fuck over the NWA and have to have ALL the major TV markets for himself. It's a famous disaster as the NWA fans revolted and the ratings tanked liked never before, and then Vince sold it for a million back to JCP and the rest is history. Vince would never let it go and the war starts from this point on until 2001.

Match#1 North South Connection vs SD Jones & Nick DeCarlo
I can't imagine the NWA fans really hating seeing Murdoch back on their TV, at least i would hope not. Fun few minutes with the fellas carrying these idiots for a while, and it's so nice to have tag champs who are awesome. NSC use the fucking Cuban Missile Crisis in 1984 to murder Nicky for the win.

Ok, now i can see why the fans were fucking pissed off and wanted this gone for ever. A true war crime before their eyes. He gets nearly 6 minutes and it's vile and terrible, and i can't believe how much i hate him. Canadian Backbreaker ends it

Match#4 Big John Studd vs Bob Brazil
FUCKING NASTY. Bobo is a thousand years old and as washed and bad as you can be. Combined that with Studd kinda being a shitty big man when not against Andre, this is a horrible fucking idea. Studd works a lazy bearhug and Bobo does some bad selling and offence trying to get out, and it's all ugly as sin. Studd wins with an elbow drop.

Six minutes of maybe the single worst thing WWF will run this year. Though, Studd/Bobo is hard to beat. Bad wrestling in every aspect of the game we love, and not a single thing of good to be found. Polish Hammer ends it

Fucking finally a good match. Dick gives him some offence and we get all that amazing stooging and bumping, before he takes back over and whips ass. Gross series of elbows and punches to Stupid Dumb's face and body. They fight on the outside and Dick posts him and rolls back in to win via countout.

Roddy Piper vs Jimmy Snuka (15/7/84)
They get right into a sick fight with a million awesome punches from both men. Snuka gets the best of it and bounces him all over the joint, and it's another masterful job from Piper to die on everything. The ref gets taken out by Piper, and they fight on the outside and Piper brains him with a chair and rips him open. Piper rams him into the post to fuck him up even more, and Snuka's KO selling is amazing and the best thing he's done in forever. Rowdy beats the ever loving shit out of him in a wonderful control seg. Just pure manic shithead energy. Jimmy eventually hulks up and goes nuts on him in revenge and unloads all kinds of sick punches and headbutts. Piper rolls out of the ring, AND SNUKA RUNS AND HITS A STUNNING NO HANDS DIVE OVER THE ROPES ONTO HIM. FUCK YEAH JIMMY. He throws Piper back in and the ref counts him out in a real bullshit finish.

SNUKA LOSES HIS MIND AND ATTACKS THE REF WITH A HEADBUTT AND STARTS CHOKING PIPER ON THE MAT. WRESTLERS COME OUT TO STOP HIM, BUT HE ATTACKS THEM AS WELL AND GOES BACK TO KILLING HIM. THEY MANAGE TO PRY HIM LOSE AND DRAG HIM BACK OFF, AND PIPER GETS BACK UP STUMBLING ALL OVER THE PLACE, AND HE RUNS AT SNUKA AND CHEAP SHOTS HIM IN THE HEAD AND RUNS OFF. AMAZING SHIT.

Dick screams he doesn't know a damn thing about Boston and he doesn't want to know anything about them. Nothing has ever happened there, and never will. The WWF is stacking the cards against them by having Albano as the guest ref, and he's sick of these damn yankees. Adonis says he's watching Dick's back and they will survive all of this.

We get a long recap video of the entire Albano/Lauper feud. Gene announces WWF Brawl To End It All live in MSG and aired on MTV on the 23rd. GOD YES,

OH GOD YES. One of my all time favourite monsters to ever do it. So much fun to watch him squash people with his fat and cool offence. Tony does a terrible job of hyping him as the new monster, the dumb shitheel. Awesome 90 second squash as WWF will only limit the best guys they have. Awesome chops and choking and fat man offence. He kills him with two wicked Splashes to the back.

Please don't hurt him no more" HE RIPS THE LETTER UP AND SHOUTS HE AIN'T HIS DADDY ANYMORE BECAUSE HE IS. HOLY FUCKING SHIT.

We get clips of Fuji/Lee vs Samoans from a recent show. Fuji turns his back on the tag and leaves Tiger to the wolves to get beaten. Post match, he gets in and attacks him for being a loser. They have a bad fight and Tiger chases him off with his Kendo Stick.
