He came in hot, but lately he just kind of looks like he doesn't care. I was a fan of him, but now not so much. He should be happy that he's getting to face Batista. This can really help him.

They will miss him more than Punk, I don't think anyone can make a babyface look better than ADR, he is world class in ring and annoying enough to get you to root for even the cheesiest of good guys....

Underrated is selling him short, IMO. He's the perfect guy to get Batista over.

Alberto Del Rio was never a real contender to be a solid main event character because he simply isn't that good. He can barely string a sentence in English together, he lacks personality and his gimmick has been done to death so many times in wrestling. I can't really recall a good match he's been involved in. Also, he should be glad to be in a program with one of WWE's top performers.

Can't recall a GOOD match? I can recall a few damn good ones myself; his ring skills should be questioned by this point.

What about him/Punk/Miz at TLC? Del Rio/Cena in a Last Man Standing match? Del Rio/Christian, Del Rio/Edge, and fuck it almost all his PPV singles matches have been pretty good, not anything special but still good.

Wtf are you talking about? English isn't his first language and he speaks it better than most Americans. You're either trolling or just don't watch the shows.

Great match? Sure. Good match? That's about anything he suits up for short of punk ass Mistico dislocating a finger.

Very solid throughout his run, but it just hasn't quite worked out for whatever reason. Good luck to him.

As illustrated in this thread, people either vastly overrate or criminally underrate Alberto Del Rio.

I hate the guy. I don't like him. But to say he hasn't even had good matches is stupid. Del Rio is one of the better in-ring performers WWE has. He was underutilized in WWE, trying to sell his stiff gimmick... they completely ignored a lot of the finesse he works with. He also fails to telegraph a lot of his strikes. His soccer kicks are hideous (never used them until WWE) and his rope-step enziguri is atrocious (although I do believe it is fair to blame the other talent a lot of the time). His punches are straight out of Smackdown vs. Raw 2008. However, I love his superkick to the kneeling opponent, though I'd love it more if he were to do it to the back of the head, execution style. Del Rio working a faster pace is favorable, especially as we saw in his feud with Christian.

He can't talk. Yeah, you can say he speaks better than 90% of the roster, but that really isn't saying much, considering 95% of the roster can't even casually chat in a radio interview. Del Rio would be a great guy to have if WWE wasn't PG and not afraid to push the envelope a bit.

I am not a huge Del Rio fan but he puts on some good matches. Will never take away his in ring ability, I feel some of his storytelling is pretty good, and he keeps it composed. His promos are left to be desired, but that is not that he can't talk it is the lack of charisma that he has. Honestly if I were Del Rio I would walk because look at what the company has done to him. They totally ruined his character and gimmick he went from being a rich latino snob, to now just being a regular latino male wearing a fancy scarf.
