I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens. Looking at what they did with the ending in the first place, though, I have NO faith in this DLC whatsoever and I'm expecting they'll fuck this up too, whatever it turns out to be. I hope I'm wrong. It's a good thing it's free or I'd have to watch it on Youtube before I bought it to make sure it delivered, which would ruin the excitement I'd have watching it for the first time.
I never got online, and at this point, I don't know if I ever will. Why should I buy a game on PS3 that I have almost no desire to play while I already have it on another system? I know it's a perfect game up until the ending but that ending just raped my spirit and left a horrible taste in my mouth, and I don't know that this update is gonna do anything to change that, because they've made it clear that they believe in this horrible, garbage ending and all they're really doing is adding onto it, which probably means they're gonna just tack on even more horrible, unsatisfying stuff. I don't exactly have much faith in them, and I'll tell you this, after the stunt they pulled, I'll never buy a Bioware game that isn't Mass Effect related, EVER.
I'll get it but given their response, I doubt this actually does anything and still leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth and lack of desire to re-play the series. At least it's free, that's the least those pricks could do after how badly they raped the greatest video game series of all time.

I know how to read people. This is corporation talk for "FUCK YOU!" Just reading that, I can tell they wanted so badly to go around to every person who complained about the endings and kick them in the teeth.

Uncharted is also a very story based game, like Mass Effect. It's completely unlike Mass Effect, I don't want to give you the impression that they're similar, they're not, but the one aspect they do share is that the storyline is a bigger focus than the gameplay. At least in my opinion, but the storyline isn't exceptional like ME. It's very good, but it's very good for a regular game, not for a once in a lifetime thing like ME. Uncharted has been applauded as an example of cinematic gaming, it's very visually active, something is ALWAYS happening. The third game in particular I think would really impress the hell out of you, the scenes in the shipyard totally hooked me like nothing in the series before.
Playing Uncharted is worth it. I don't love it as much as Mass Effect, God of War, Assassins Creed (the good games anyway), or whatever, but it's great. The best thing I can say about the series is that it keeps going up. The second game is way better than the first game. The third game is way better than the second game (with no stupid ending). I don't think the series is over yet, I think it's still going to continue. The series didn't "end", so to speak, it was just kinda like the game ended but they left it kinda open, I guess. Uncharted is Sony's trademark franchise like Halo is for Microsoft, so I don't think it'll ever truly end until Sony isn't in the game anymore, so to speak.
Yeah, the Mass Relays all being destroyed seems like it should wipe out all life. In Arrival, you remember that blowing up that one Mass Relay destroyed an entire Batarian solar system, so if ALL of them blew up, that should've killed everything and we shouldn't have even gotten that stupid, unexplained ending where the Normandy crashes on an unidentified planet.
The people who like the ending in my opinion shouldn't even qualify as Mass Effect fans. If you aren't pissed, you obviously don't have the dedication that the real fans do, and the real fans know how bad it is. If I'm ever on the Bioware forum browsing, I'll look around to see if I can find you but I don't think I'll join.
