Posted December 1, 2008 -- Lil' Wayne will not be rapping on his next album. Though we have seen many rap artists transition from rapping to singing (Kanye being the most recent example), Wayne's upcoming 2009 release will be a Rock and Roll album, he says.

"This is going to be totally rock," Lil' Wayne responds during an interview that was leaked online last week. Seated in front of a soundboard at the Hit Factory in Miami, Wayne talked to Ozone Magazine's Julia Beverly while holding his electric guitar. Weezy stated that he did not yet have a title for the upcoming Rock album.

With his recent performance earlier this month at the Country Music Awards alongside Kid Rock, Lil' Wayne has showed his commitment to growing as an artist outside of Rap. When asked whether he felt as though he had accomplished everything he could in hip-hop, Weezy said, "I haven't accomplished everything I can accomplish, but I have accomplished a whole lot."

In the interview, Lil' Wayne also acknowledged that 2008 was a big year for him, because of the birth of his son. After being asked whether he was surprised about the industry's reaction to the new addition to his family, Wayne shrugged it off. "I don't even know how they reacted, I never pay attention to people's reactions...It's a kid, so who cares about what anybody thinks."

The name of the album is "Tha Carter III: The Rebirth". It's set to drop in April.

That song was horrible. This screams fail. I'm usually mixed on Wayne. Sometimes he does good stuff then other times he makes some of the stupidest shit ever.

This rock shit is a huge no no

But the thing about Lil' Wayne music is that usually you would hate his first singles off of his album. But then once you keep hearing the track over and over, it would start to grow on you. For example Lollipop. When some people heard the track for the first time they hated it cause it seem to popish. But then Lollipop became hit and also was the #1 song of 2008 according to BET & MTV.

Was the guy saying "musiccartel.com!" Is that apart of the song?

But seriously, this song sucks. He's not even a good rapper, why is he trying stuff like this? He's honestly not understandable, even like Kanye usually is on his "raps". But the worst part is, this song will be guaranteed #1. :n:

I have a feeling that Wayne can make this whole rock album pretty marketable, for the past 2 years everybody who listens to his music practically rides his dick all the time.

And now that hip-hop has become a bit more popish currently, I don't think it's a bad idea for Weezy to do this.

He's gonna make a whole lot of money off this gimmick album, even if It's not gonna be any good at all. I mean look at what happened to Tha Carter III for example.

Honestly this isnt a bad idea of doing a rock album but this is some hot garbage. Honestly anyone can do a rock album, as long as they don't fall out of their element. Ice Cube could do a rock album because he's collabrated with Korn during Family Values tour but has Wayne collabrated with any rock bands?

But the dickriders will giddyup on this one.

This was possibly one of the worst assaults on my ears of all time.

Like, this is seriously bad.

Don't EVER say that. Lil' Wayne is the most overrated rapper of all-time. He sounds like he has a vibrator caught down his throat. I hate him.

that was horrible. honestly, there's nothing really good about the song at all. his voice/mixer doesn't flow with the guitar at all. and the riff sucked ass. it probably wouldn't be a bad song if there was less effects on the guitar and if a real SINGER actually sang the song. I don't even think the song will grow on me or will get stuck in my head, there's nothing melodic too it either.

But seriously, this song sucks. He's not even a good rapper, why is he trying stuff like this? He's honestly not understandable, even like Kanye usually is on his "raps". But the worst part is, this song will be guaranteed #1.

exactly. most of the time now, it's not about how good your song is, it's about who you are.

Of all bands Fall Out Boy? Give me a band that isn't associated with Ashlee Simpson. Gym Class? They're more alternative. Almost ska. Korn, Limp Bizkit even Linkin Park is more credible then those bands. Korn has collabed with Cube and Nas. Nas.

I'm sorry but Travis Barker isn't credible either.
