Just moments ago, Barack Obama has been sworn in to office making him officially the 44th President of the United States. Obama also made history becoming the first Africian-American President.

My question is that how does it feel to witness history right before your eyes? Also, What do you expect Obama to do while his in office?

I expect him to FAIL, FAIL, FAIL.

Why? Because I want to laugh at the world for literally "worshipping" him as some "Christ-like Prophet". Especially the thousands of celebrities that told America to vote for this puppet. I can't wait until the media turns on him, which they inevitably will.

Only thing I hate about this is if he does screw up if any white person says anything about it he most likely will just be called a racist.

Now he wasn't who I was going for but hey I know he most likely do a good job. But I don't think people need to focus much on him being black. That is not what is important when it comes to being the president. What is important is how good of a job he does.

I have one problem.
I'm glad he's president and all, not because he's the greatest thing ever, but because he's a hell of a lot better than Bush and/or McCain. He still has some flaws, but no president can be prefect.

However, my problem is with the bandwagoners. And, without sounding racist, I hate the fact that every blackperson is on the bandwagon of how important it is for them to have a black president, and also thinking this means something for the world. It doesn't.
Black americans have'nt lived in slavery over the past years, and therefore, having a black president makes no difference, because he won't change the way african americans are looked at, because they have been treated equally for decades now.

IDK, it just bugs me that everyone, especially african americans, are jumping on this bandwagon, without knowing what Obama's policies are in all the aspects of politics. I don't mean this to Dre or Milly, but there are tons of people who are loving him just cause he's black, and would vote for him even if he had the same policies as Bush.

But ya, good for him, he's a solid leader, hopefully he keeps it up, and I like him, but the bandwagon shit it as bad as it gets.

Just so people know not every African American is/for Obama. My Uncle is African American and he said he didn't want Obama or McCain as President. Just though I would let you all know.

I know how you feel about every black person being on the Obama bandwagon and everything.

But there are much more reasons why we (African Americans) jump on Obama's bandwagon...

- Now that Obama is our first black president, it impacts other ethnicities to realize that anybody can be U.S. president if they set their mind to it. And also referring to achieving their goals.

-It helps out our young people, Obama appeals to the younger people through the Internet and basically the youth are the future to our society.

-It's time for Obama to bring back our troops from this war, I'm tired of seeing young adults as casualties on the news channels now. And yet I still don't understand the meaning of the Iraqi War.

My President Is Black!!!!!!!!

[yt]3I3XMZNt8uI[/yt]

now, i watched that video, and some of the others related

title: my president is black

common subjects in the videos:

black people drunk
black people under drugs
girls dressed like sluts, in certain cases getting naked
black people showing money earned with rap and drugs
black people driving expensive cars
people acting like gangstas

end of the video:
pray for obama and his family

other than the fact that it's the terrible rap culture, somebody tell me..
what does that shit have to do with Obama and his policies?
thank you.

Trust me man, I know not everyone who is african american likes him just for the bandwagon reasons.
But there are plenty on him.
If you actually like him for reasons, including that he is black, but also other reasons, that you think make him right for ht eocuntry, then good on you.
But if you, like some people, are on the Obama-Train becuase that's what celebrities are telling you to do, and because he's black, so you think a black guy should get in just cause he's black, that's not good.
You seem like the kind of dude that could at least make up his own mind though, so I hope you actually like Obama for more than being black.

Me, like I said, I like him, and it has nothing to do with him being black, (considering I'm white, living in Canada), but I actually feared the thought of McCain getting in, and was hoping Obama would get in, because even though he isn't perfect, his policies are a hell of a lot better, for the world as a whole, not just America, than McCain's or Bush's

Edit:
Oh, and Italian Outsider, don't pay attention to that video. Ya, it's got a bunch of those dumbasses celebrating over a black president, but those are the bandwagon types I was referring to.
Obama will still make a good president, but just videos like that make it look as if he is going to be some form of gangster, hip hop president, when in reality, he won't.

Rap has became sort of a pop culture vibe in music currently, it's a smart way to show how many people are impacted by the fact that barriers can really be broken in politics.

Rap can also be fed onto people's minds because it's so influential, just by showing that video. Somebody watching it realizes that any challenge is possible to overcome to that matter.

Think about it, if Rap music can influence gang violence... Then I'm sure that it can also influence people to achieve their goals at hard work and dedication.

ok i may agree until here.

tbh, rap culture from those videos tells people:
''Hey, act like a gangsta, shot somebody, sell drugs, commit crimes, and you'll have a wonderful life, rich and surrounded by sluts'' in males case.
''Hey dress like a slut, sell your pussy to a gangsta-rapper, and that's the best you can do'' in females case.
Hard work?Dedication?Any CHANGE? I just see a degrading human being.

I can tell you a few reasons why black people voted for him.

- They feel that Barack Obama is going to live up to his word and make a change in America (whatever that is).

- They feel that Obama can help the U.S. in this recession.

- Obama said that he would bring back the troops and stop the war in Iraq.

- Clean up whatever Bush messed up.

I'm proud, I could've actually went. My sister and two of my brothers are down there. I really didn't feel like going. I wish the best for Obama and his president, and I hope nothing bad happens.

I won't blame him for “messing up” earlier. I think thats just the pressure on his shoulders.

Once he goes into the office alone, and all the commotion is over with I guarantee that he's gonna feel “it”.

The amount of responsibility he has now. He's acting cool now, but once he's alone in the quiet office. He'll realise “it”

Quoted from some news guy, but it isn't word for word.

I don't like Obama at all, let me say that first. I don't think that he's going to do anything spectacular as President, and the economy could get worse than it already is, and even though some of it won't be his fault, people would still put the blame on him. Sure, he might not change things politically, but socially, that's where he'll make his impact. I respect him for opening that door. I don't think I need to complain anymore, because we're going to be calling him President until January 20, 2013.
