[WIKI]On the January 12, 2009 episode of Raw, Jericho was involved in a narrative in which WWE Executive Vice President Stephanie McMahon (kayfabe) fired him.[/WIKI]

Not always. but most of the time, Wiki is reliable for these kinds of things.

Have I missed something? That doesn't tell us anything more than the very first post on the thread (or from watching Raw last night).

Wiki doesn't predict 'the future'. LOL

The Throwback/FU is a staged move...

Obviously, but I feel the need to point this out.

It is a basic Fireman's carry. An easy manner of lifting dead weight people over your shoulders to carry them.

So despite it's staged-ness in wrestling it wouldn't be very hard to pick a person up like that irl.

Of course there's the whole manner of getting close enough to do it, but once you're there it's cake.

...Plus, like any FINNISHING move they are more often than not attempted on a worn down opponent. (In Cena's case, most likely dazed after a 5KnuckleShuffle).... That said, even then plenty of guys have broken free from an attempted FU at varying times within a match.

Smart fans, eh...? :sucks-teeth:

Vince comes back and out of nowhere Jericho attacks him. Crowd boos Jericho, Stephanie rushes from the back into the ring and stares at Y2J, but then they shake hands.

Stephanie fired Jericho so that VInce didn't see the attack coming.

That wouldn't make since. to me. The only reason Steph fired Jericho was for him to attach Vince, but why. Is the attach meant to take out Vince? What point is it going to prove? Usually in attaching somebody or jumping them, there's an intent to take them out or injure them. Like the MEM, they jump guys to injure them and take them out, it makes since, they're proving a point. Jack Swagger attaches Matt to show him not to take him lightly. Evolution beat up Orton because Triple H was telling him he messed up winning that title, and that it's his. Orton attached DiBiase and gave him a "concussion" because he interfered in Orton's match when he didn't need him. They all make since, Steph firing Jericho only for him to attach Vince when he gets back doesn't make since to me.

And before throwing out the Mike Knox attaching Mysterio every week. To me that makes no since either. If he wants him so bad, why doesn't he get a match. It's not proving anything that he can beat him up from surprise attaches.

NOTE: Yes I know that I used the wrong "since" spelling, but I forgot how to spell the other one.

EDIT: Or maybe it is the right spelling, I don't know.

To Airfixx: When I typed it, it didn't look right, like there was another way of spelling it. And I didn't feel like reading where somebody was trying to be the grammer/spelling police. Or somebody trying to prove they're an A-list speller by stating it, either or. See below your post for example.

To noumenon: Sorry officer

I am still trying to catch my breath from laughter at this CenaHardy guy. I mean House shows in people's houses? man that's rich.

But on topic -- I think Jericho will not go to smackdown, he jsut takes a few weeks off to stay with his family. Meanwhile Vince and Steph talk and have in your fave promo's on Raw week after week. Meanwhile Christian goes to Smackdown around the Rumble time and they have thier thing seperately. (No Edge / Jericho / Christian alliance someone posted earlier).

Vince and Steph decide to settle this at NWO but it turns out to be a no contest or something like that and at Wrestle Mania they each bring a representitive were Jericho is Steph's rep. Jericho comes back as the good guy working in Cahootes with Steph this whole time while Vince's guy is probably like Big Show or something.

It doesn't need to prove a point. Steph apparently is afraid of Vince coming back, so she paired with Jericho, maybe even promised him a title match, staged their firing segment, so that when Vince Mcmahon comes back, and I am almost sure he'll come back in his paranoid routine (where he says everybody wants him dead for his money), out of all the people he might expect her daughter to send against him, Jericho is the one who attacks Vince.

The thread title had me scared if it was for real but it's obviously a part of some storyline that they're coming up with.

It's going to be interesting to see how they pull it off in the coming weeks. I have a feeling this will have something 'HUGE' to do with the return of Vince McMahon and a potential build-up for some Vince/ Chris Jericho/ Stephanie representative match at WrestleMania.

^^^ Maybe it's just me, but that makes no since to me at all or maybe I'm just confused on. The only part that does make since is the 1st two sentences. What does Christian have to do with anything? And Edge as well, you said Jericho's not going to Smackdown so why even mention them? And how do Vince and Steph settle things at NWO? Do they get people to represent them or something? Who would those guys be? Then why would they have the same math at Mania but with different people? And if Steph did chose Jericho as her rep., you think everybody would give him a face reaction after ridiculing them for months? Maybe I'm missing something but it makes no since to me.

EDIT: That's directed toward Ninja Star.

It doesn't need to prove a point. If it doesn't need to prove a point, they why did would Steph and Jericho go through brainstorming on something to come out with that outcome to stage everything only to attack Vince just for the hell of it? Just to say look what I did dad? Okay she's scared of him so she promises Jericho a title match, and all he has to do is attack Vince from behind and he gets a title shot. It doesn't make since. There has to be some point behind it. At least she wants Jericho to not just get Vince from behind, but to take him out, injure him so that he wont come back. That could be a point of the attack. She want's to show her father that she has the authority and the power that she can get even somebody like Jericho to take him out. She can manipulate anyone on the roster to do what she wants so its best for him to stay away. That would be prove a point. But to say that you don't need to prove a point, when striking a deal with somebody to attack somebody else, I think is dumb.

Steph would play the heel in the feud.
If that's directed toward what I said about what I said about Ninja Star's post making no since, he clearly stated......

Jericho comes back as the good guy working in Cahootes with Steph this whole time

... thus the reason why I said it wouldn't work with Jericho coming back and getting face reaction just because Steph choose him as her rep.

lmao...I'm sorry... I suppose I'm just a spelling Nazi.

It's cool, I just ain't realize that I was spelling it wrong. I spelled it right this time though.

It's rather simple.

Stephanie wants control of Raw, and with Vince coming back, it's obvious she won't get it. Steph gets desperate and she makes a plan to take out Vince Mcmahon. She turns to Chris Jericho. Jericho obviously refuses to work with her, but Steph promises him something (either title match, or could be 30th entrant in the Royal Rumble), in return of him attacking VInce. Jericho does likewise.

When the feud continues, it will be revealed that Steph was the one that rigged the stage so that it collapsed over Vince.

Chris Jericho would be a peon on Steph's plan of taking Vince Mcmahon out (again).

The firing was done, again, like I said, to make Vince Mcmahon not see Chris Jericho coming.

I get all that now. I said I didn't understand when all you posted was this

Vince comes back and out of nowhere Jericho attacks him. Crowd boos Jericho, Stephanie rushes from the back into the ring and stares at Y2J, but then they shake hands.

Stephanie fired Jericho so that VInce didn't see the attack coming.

But after you posted how it would pan out I understood. But when I questioned you about it, and asked what the point of it would be, you said

It doesn't need to prove a point
.

I was asking about that. When clearly she is proving a point that you don't mess with her right? She can manipulate anyone she wants to do what she wants, even if that means taking out the big man. She wants to remain in control. So that's proving a point right?

And that still doesn't explain why she would only want him to attack him and not attempt to take out Vince. Just attacking him isn't going to keep him from showing up and still taking his show back. Wouldn't the deal be something like "If you take him out you get title match," rather than, "You attack Vince and you get the shot." Just attacking him isn't going to do diddly squat. This is the same guy that survived a stage collaspe, and a platform falling on him. So I doubt a simple sneak attack will do much. And as you said, maybe paranoid, so he wouldn't see the attack of any one coming whether it be somebody on the roster or somebody fired, he wouldn't see it coming.

And my history may not be good on it, but has the Mr. McMahon character not do any good as a face, instead of the invasion angle?

The only way McMahon ever comes off as anywhere near a decent face is when he is heel ragging on a heel superstar.
