But i'm only talking CURRENT king. We'll see how long that last.

In order to be King of JRPGs, though, the games actually have to be good.

Lost Odyssey (AWESOME!)
Tales of Vesperia (As good as Symphonia)
Infinite Undiscovery (Good action JRPG)
Eternal Sonata (okay game)

Vs.

Folklore (played it on my cousin's PS3, loved it)
Eternal Sonata (Extra content and so forth)
Disgaea 3 (the series always kicked ass, why should this be any different?)


Enchanted Arms is trash, and Blue Dragon was meh... You can also include Operation Darkness in there and Spectral Force 3 in with the 360; Operation Darkness was trash and Spectral Force 3 is a decent SJRPG. Not to mention, the Japanese have some JRPGs unreleased in the States that were released in Japan on the 360, such as Diario, Far East of Eden Ziria, and there was another one too, I forgot. The OVERALL JRPG King is, however, DS, if you do not factor in the fact it being a handheld. Seriously, the re-releases of Chrono Trigger, FFIV, Dragon Quest IV, and so forth are just enough, not to mention the new Tales game, Level 5' Soccer JRPG, Square Enix's The World Ends with You, and so forth have really solidified it as the King.

Yes, most games shown at TGS are never exclusive to Japan otherwise it wouldn't be shown on other regioned websites and television stations like G4

Also SCE usually ALWAYS has games released in other regions. Only 3rd parties keep games exclusive whereas Sony published games are always coming to other regions.

Same goes for Microsoft and Nintenedo

Microsoft Game Studios head Phil Spencer has revealed to Edge that the firm has added a group of "industry heavy hitters" to its staff, including Ryan Payton, Corrine Yu, Kenneth Scott, David Wu and Frank O'Connor.

Payton recently left his position as assistant producer on Metal Gear Solid 4, citing family reasons for his departure from Kojima Productions. Microsoft was unable to confirm whether or not Payton would be directing a new Halo project, a rep stating that the "team is working on upcoming and existing Halo games".

"Microsoft Game Studios is thrilled to have such talented people working to develop new and exciting projects within the Halo universe and supporting existing projects from studios like Bungie and Ensemble," said Spencer.

As interesting as these new additions to Microsoft Game Studios are, it's the games that matter and a new announcement from Bungie is said to be around the corner. A Microsoft rep told Edge that Bungie will be making a major announcement regarding the recently released Halo teaser trailer during the Tokyo Game Show. The show runs October 9-12.

You gotta show me a link about that IGN thing.

So far the only thing we actually know about Microsoft's TGS is: Halo: Keep it Clean, and that they're presentation is called “A Canvas for The World” which is supposed to bring gamers together. So i'm thinking some surprise announcements and NXE bullshit. Which is about as pointless as HOME. I'm still pissed that you're being forced to get the new interface.

I doubt 360 will have a lot more going. Japan is Sony's home turf and ever since FFXIII went multi they've been playing hardball. It would take A LOT for M-Soft to topple Sony at TGS. It would be nice if MS stopped screwing around and showed some more Cry On information. Seriously doee that game even exist anymore? lol

Anyhow i'm betting that the exclusive PS3 game from Konami is Metal Gear Existence or Zone of Enders 3.

That new JRPG you posted pics of will be crap; it's made by the makers of Enchanted Arms. Hopefully, they've learned their lesson from how horrible their first current-gen game was, and actually make the effort to make this next one as good as it can. I hope I'm wrong when I say it'll be crap; from the screens, it actually looks like my type of game. Oh, and MS' lineup looks like shit, TBH. You guys have failed me.

The screens from Demon's Soul look badass. Hopefully SW delivers on Ninja Blade and Demon's Soul

Yes, please, some Cry On info from Sakaguchi. Lost Odyssey was godly, IMO. Ninja Blade looks decent; I hope Demon's Soul is good. I think Sony will make an announcement regarding a Team Ico project; I hope they do. And please, Sega; Shenmue III. Make it happen!

Regarding Nintendo, I've been losing faith for awhile. 2007 was a good year for 'em, and now, in 2008, we have only Smash Bros. and Animal Crossing. Wow... I want Kid Icarus, a new IP, and a darker Zelda game. Ninty, make it happen, plz!

Seriously, imagine Ico and Shadow of the Collosus like games with 7th gen tech. It'll be BEAUTIFUL
