I know I've posted this a lot and it's not an original idea anyway but for the longest time I've just wanted the games to have a working airport where you could fly from vice city, Los Santos, and liberty city lol idc if there's a loading screen so the maps can change, that's more than fine. But having all 3 in one game would be so awesome

I think they've always wanted this to be a thing. Functional airports are in San Andreas and help make the map feel bigger than it is.

Honestly, I don't see why this leak is a big deal. Look at the market for these games. The only competition is the mediocre Saints Row reboot. Nobody will be sick of that type of game before it has a chance to launch. Also, I hope it's just two characters this time instead of three. It would be great if your decisions throughout the story could get one of them killed. I don't think V justified the need for three protagonists.

There was an assumption that we were going to get something minor in October. With what has happened now, I'd bet money on them trying to bring public opinion on their side with a bigger teaser trailer that shows the game doesn't look like the dev builds. You know, because some people are fickle and don't understand how game development works and will legitimately think the final product will look like that

For me it's a big deal because Rockstar is very secretive about their games and we pretty much never see anything until they show us

Yeah I always thought multiple protagonists was a cool concept but it's seemed like more for a show than anything and I think the story wasn't as good because of it, mainly felt like it was there for the Heists but there wasn't that many overall. Two definitely seems much more manageable

It's a big deal because it's highly anticipated and we knew nothing about the games, has nothing to do with competition. There's also the fact that the source code for both GTA V and GTA VI are now both out there somewhere which is fucking CATASTROPHIC for Rockstar/Take-Two. This means that GTA V can be reverse-engineered/hacked/modded to fucking oblivion on even current-gen consoles once tools are made and there's fuck all that can be done to stop it really. It also means that whatever trade secrets are within that source codes can be used or sold by someone else to legit bootleg or sabotage their games. An active game/cashcow like GTA V/Online having this problem is like the apocalypse to them. And then an unreleased AAA blockbuster game having this issue now? Sheeeeeeeesh. It's literally worst case scenario, scorched earth type shit for a gaming company. Source Code and a dev build leak are a huge deal.

Also to build on this, since GTA VI has yet to be released and the source code has already been stolen, the hacker can blackmail/extort them and they'd have to comply. Back in the day this happened to Valve with Half-Life 2, but the source code was just made public, and what happened? The game was cancelled and completely remade from the ground up in every aspect. There is an entire possibility that Take-Two/Rockstar could have to legitimately cancel GTA VI or do it from the ground up if the source code was dumped and made public. That thing with Valve still effects them to this day with even their recent games like Half-Life Alyx because they all share so much source code and company information.
