I think orton with the wwe has been better. His ppv matches have been very good dont think apart from cyber sunday this year ive seen a shit ppv orton match up. His y2j feud will be amazing.

I have seen a great development in his in ring abilities, he has stopped using so many headlocks and now is a little more fast as far as the action goes. His promos are good, but sometimes they seemed too sketched, too read. They don't seem natural.
By the way, if anyone will surpass HHH as the biggest heel of all time, it will be Edge.

^^Agreed. Edge is 100000 times better than Orton, in ring and on the mic. Orton has improved but overall he still bores the hell outta me. But things always change so I hope this will too.

Besides, Orton is a good heel, but Edge has been in the most memoral, controversial angles in the last few years. The infamous Lita/Edge/Matt Hardy thing, his whole rivalry with Ric Flair and the potential icing on the cake of his Rated R persona, date Vickie Guerrero

Orton is one of my favorites, but there is no way in heel he will ever surpass HHH.

Orton is better in the ring in my opinion, but he doesn't have the mic skills or presence of HHH. They are trying to make Orton's persona more of a sinister heel, but no heel is more sinister and downright evil and manipulative than HHH's heel character. It's only a matter of time before Orton becomes the cocky arrogant heel again.

orton was mint pre title he was really doing a good job building up his nasty heel thing every week he would do something. Then they stick the strap on him and what happens nothing he goes all quiet hasnt really done anything since gaining title. Thro no fault of orton's but by the way he has been booked, i cant understand why they have put title on him if they arnt gonna do out with him and if y2j comes in and takes the title after a few weeks or a month what was the point of all the build up and push for orton to get title over the last couple of month 2 take it off him with out him really getting a start or some big matches apart frm the hbk things that led to nothing really

The title reign has definitelty improved since Survivor Series. Before that it was crap. Orton has been the primary focus of two shows that featured the returns of Jericho and Flair.

His promo with Flair was one of his better ones in a while and him RKOing the whole roster on the "passing of the torch" night was awesome.

The WWE, I believe, was nervous about this Orton reign. Say what you will, but this is one of the more important title reigns in years and will have an effect on the direction of the company for years to come. The WWE tried to play it safe with Orton. They made him stand in the background as champion basically so he wouldn't screw up and they tried to slowly ease him along. That failed miserably though because the champion has to be the focal point to be considered credible. Now they are forced to push him out there and let him sink or swim. So far over the last three weeks he has done a great job. As long as he continues to do a good job, he will hold the title through Mania. If not, the title will go to Jericho before Mania then HHH.

^hands down, but jericho coming back is a good feud idea with rko, this is going to be a good feud for a while, until HHH somehow goes Heel on HBK, and teams with Orton, which would be soooo damn sweet, and then cena comes back and joins HBK, but Umaga joins HHH and RKO, and Jericho joins Cena and HBK... setting up a 6-Man Tag Match at a PPV: Cena, HBK, and Y2J vs HHH, RKO, Umaga

Id love to see that happen it could be poss a great slow build up to a potentially wicked storyline they could start it in in mid jan and build it up until mania then just b4 mania cracks apear between HHH and orton then HHH does what he does best turn on any1 who gets in way of the title him and orton main event mania 24 or posss triple threat with orton,HHH,Y2J either HHH or Y2J win title :blob1: OR HBK Y2J Flair vs HHH Orton umaga then cud be 4 way orton,HHH Y2J and Flair at mania kill 2 birds with 1 stone change of title and flair goes out with a main event bang when he retires
