West Coast is dominating against Bulldogs that I've switched off listening to the game.

Listening to Geelong Melbourne.

Geelong kicked 20 goals in the first half to be up by 116 at half time. Currently up by 121 points.

They need to kick at least 200 points.

Dean bailey needs the axe.

Dogs fought back but unfortunately went down by 8 points in a close contest.

Geelong is phenomenal today, 232-47 as we speak.

4 minutes to go and two more goals from Geelong will see them break a record in AFL History.

190 is the highest margin win, currently 185...

It was a pathetic performance by Melbourne. Unfortunately their reserves team lost by 20 goals as well so there aren't many options if they want to dump a lot of players. To lose by that much shows that the players didn't put any effort in and it is an embarrassment to their jumper. Bailey will be fired and Green their captain should be dropped as well.

Bulldogs vs Eagles was a great game. Lots of momentum changes and the finish was great for a neutral to watch.

Saints surprisingly struggled against Gold Coast. The Suns kicked something like 6.18 so some straighter kicking may have given them a chance to win considering the margin was only 20 points.

Today Essendon flew out of the blocks to lead by four goals at quarter time but unfortunately for them they suffered two injuries in the first quarter. They were never going to match it with Collingwood with two less players. Collingwood finished strong and won by over ten goals.

Adelaide under new coach Mark Bickely won the showdown and Port and still at the bottom of the ladder.

Fair bit of flogging going on in the footy.

Next week you've got;

St Kilda vs. Freo - I'll tip Saints here, they're on a roll.
Carlton vs. Melbourne - Carlton by 80 points.
Geelong vs. Gold Coast - In Geelong, Might actually go. Geelong should kick at least 170 points against Gold Coast easily.
Ess vs. Sydney - Tough, Essendon has a lot of injuries. Sydney had the bye, I say they will win.
Port vs. Collingwood - Collingwood will rain goals here
Brisbane vs. Adelaide - Both teams are shit but Brisbane for an upset by under a goal.
Hawks vs. Kangas - Should be a great bout nonetheless, close contest. Going Hawks but hoping for a Kangas upset.
WCE vs. Richmond - West Coast by 10 goals

Dogs have the bye.

St Kilda vs. Freo - Saints for me as well. They are in good form and Freo are poor away from home and are still suffering from a long injury list
Carlton vs. Melbourne - Melbourne will want to bounce back after last week but I don't think they can get within 10 goals.
Geelong vs. Gold Coast - Going to be a massive score but I think Gold Coast will put in a better effort than Melbourne.
Ess vs. Sydney - Have to go with Sydney. Essendon have so many injuries and Sydney look to be heading in good form with the finals coming up.
Port vs. Collingwood - Collingwood. It will be ugly for Port
Brisbane vs. Adelaide - Brisbane have been competitive and at home I think they can do it.
Hawks vs. Kangas - North have a good record against Hawthorn in Tasmania and we really need this win so fingers crossed it happens.
WCE vs. Richmond - Easy win for West Coast at home.

Looks like half these games could be 10 goal margins.

It hasn't been confirmed yet but apparently Dean Bailey has been sacked after a board meeting tonight. It was the correct decision since there is no way to come back from that loss. His record as coach was 22 wins from 83 games at a winning rate of 26 per cent.

Now there are two positions vacant for next season Adelaide and Melbourne.

Fremantle stayed with St Kilda for three quarters but the Saints kicked six goals to zero in the final quarter to end with a 41 point win. Saints well and truly in form now with six wins in a row and Freo are a big chance to drop out of the eight.

My tips for the rest of the weekend are:
Geelong vs. Gold Coast
Carlton vs. Melbourne
Essendon vs. Sydney
Port Adelaide vs. Collingwood
Brisbane vs. Adelaide
Hawthorn vs. North Melbourne
West Coast vs. Richmond

Two tough games to tip this week. Essendon vs. Sydney is really tough to pick. Sydney are in better form but then again this is an Essendon home game. I am going with Sydney because I think that Essendon just have too many key players out due to injury. Brisbane vs. Adelaide is another tough game to pick. Both have had horrible seasons but I think that Brisbane will win purely because of home ground advantage. Adelaide will make a contest of it though under the new coach Bickley.

Geelong 150 point win. Too good for a young Gold Coast team missing Ablett and Brown who was injured not long into the first quarter.

Carlton def Melbourne by 76 points. Another really bad performance by Melbourne and their leadership group is showing nothing. I think it would be best for them if they dropped Green and Rivers and gave the captaincy to someone else. Trengove, Frawley and Watts will lead the way in the future.

Collingwood def Port by 138 points with Port only scoring 21 points. Sad way for Chad Cornes to go out but Collingwood were amazing even in the really wet weather.

Essendon def Sydney by 1 point. This was one of the best matches of the year. Close throughout the entire game with one team getting a couple of goals ahead before the other team would fight back and get the lead. As good as Essendon were Sydney handed them this match by kicking 2.9 in the last term. So many easy chances missed and Goodes missed a set shot, 45m out directly in front after the siren to go along with three other gettable misses.

Dont..I think there may be a hole in my wall, I havent had the guts to go up and check it yet, but it didn't sound good.

I will never blame Adam Goodes, he has won us soo many games of his own back. 2 goals 9 in a close game in the last quarter, you do not deserve to win even if you were the better side on the night.

I know how it feels to lose by a point and it sucks.

Watching it as a neutral I just couldn't believe the opportunities missed and then Jetta's handball in the corridor that turned into an Essendon goal started the run. The commentators called it as it happened and I just couldn't believe that there was one more momentum shift left. When Goodes marked it with seconds left I thought they had it and I thought it was going in until right at the end.

Tonight has been a good representation of the AFL season so far. A lot more one sided affairs but also a lot more thrillers. Not as many middle of the road wins by 5-6 goals.

Can I just say that I for some reason have found this season more enjoyable than the last few years. I also wanted to note the expansion of the game is great aswell. My club on the weekend played a game against the tongan national team and my mate payed against an under 18's pacific islander squad which was quite entertaining. Looking forwrd to GWS and hopefull they have a better marquee season than the Suns. haha

GWS will be more powerful then Gold Coast, count on that.

Been following GWS this year and keeping update with their matches and Falou has been kicking 3-4 goals a game, he's going to be worth the money, guaranteed.

With some Adelaide player already heading to GWS, I do see them getting a few more great signings.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. The league that GWS are playing in is far worse than what the Gold Coast played in last year, and this years crop of youngsters is far higher rated than next years. Guys like Swallow, Trent McKenzie and Zac Smith were ready for AFL football, and theres noone you can really say that of in the crop coming through.

Plus, you go through the recycled players that the Gold Coast were able to pick up in Stanley, Isles, Harris (not so successful), whereas GWS have none of that sort of calibre who are going to be able to compete and compete well straight away. Plus the Ablett factor. I'd like to come back to this post at the end of the season though and see who they pick up as uncontracted players. Davis is still too young to base a backline around, and I'd be worried about how he is going to learn if he is the most experience(10-15 games) defender.

GWS seem to be aiming for much younger players so in their debut season I think they will be less competitive than the Suns. Sheedy will be building for the future though and will aim to peak in a few years time and try to dominate for many years. I look forward to seeing the new team and it will be great next year when there is no bye. Not as fun when your team isn't playing on the weekend.
