Like I legit just want a fun career mode again. Hell
i wouldn’t mind a damn season mode also where I can play as an actual superstar. But idk if we’ll get that back.

Nah, just reversed them the same was as a grapple but you couldn't hold the button down to perpetually block like this seems to be
as someone who plays a lot of fighting games ya thats a bit weird. either way this is a good thing because blocking makes more sense (like covering up when being hit) then just standing there taking hits to the face while trying to perfect block the reversal
The older ones that I grew up with like HCTP (I think it was the first) used to have separate buttons for reversing grapples and strikes but it was still tap to reverse regardless, no blocking. Then they went back to one button for each at some point awhile back
