Rock/Hogan drew more for Wrestlemania 18 than Rock/Austin drew for Wrestlemania 17

May I ask why you’re so compelled to prove to us that Rock/Hogan drew more than Rock/Austin. No one fucking cares. Are you trying to prove to us that Austin wasn’t a draw because then you’ll get laughed out of here.

Even if Rock/Hogan was a bigger draw, why are you surprised? That was a once in a lifetime match / a match that no one thought would happen. Rock/Austin was a match that had happened before and even mainevented Wrestemania before. It only makes sense that Rock/Hogan would draw better which it didn’t even do by the way :lol

So this whole argument is stupid.

Rock/Hogan also outdrew Rock/Austin Wrestlemania 15, and that’s when ratings were peaking on TV. Same with Wrestlemania 2000 outdrawing 15, without Austin, only Rock.

Austin was a draw, not a mega star draw like Rock or Hogan though, but more in line with Goldberg.

Goldberg in fact outdrew him in 1998.

Point is Rock was the biggest star of the Attitude era and it wasn’t even close.

WM 15 had 800,000 buys, WM 16 had 824,000 buys. That’s not enough whatsoever to say that Rock drew more than Austin. WM 18 had 880,000 buys which still isn’t a huge increase and like I said. The match was a “never thought it would happen” match so you can’t compare.
But since you’re a numbers guy:

WM 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, and 25 ALL drew more than WM 18 and a few drew more than WM 17.

wanna explain that?

They didn’t, starting in 2004 they started mixing in international numbers lol

Only 23, 27, 28 and 29 outdrew them.

One was Trump and the rest were...

The Rock.

Right. So any time it doesn’t involve the Rock, the numbers are wrong but anytime it does involve the Rock, the numbers are correct.

You’re really too much.

No because they started mixing domestic and international numbers starting with Wrestlemania 20.

Only Wrestlemania 17 had the international numbers reported. That 1,040,000 number is the total buys, the reason reported because it was the biggest domestic buys.

So domestically Wrestlemania 17 is 970,000 buys while Wrestlemania 18 is 860,000-880,000 buys.

Meaning despite Wrestlemania 17 having 5 huge mainstream headlines that drew hundreds of thousands of buys, two(McMahon story, WCW) of which were bigger than Rock/Austin it only drew 110,000-130,000 more buys.

Meaning Rock/Hogan was a bigger draw than Rock/Austin for PPV.

Whereas the other Mania’s such as Wrestlemania 18’s are 860,000-880,000 buys domestically. There were more internationally, Mania 18 could have more total buys than 17, but we don’t know because we don’t have the numbers.

Wrestlemania 25 for example drew 970,000 buys total, includes international and domestic numbers. No way it drew more than say Wrestlemania 18, which domestics numbers are 860,000-880,000 buys WITHOUT international numbers.

Hmmmmmm.......

They say numbers don't lie, but they can be skewed to fit a narrative.....clearly evident here.

Let's do the 4chan checklist shall we.

1. Defection......Check
2. Tangents.......Check
3. Insult then claim victimization.....Check.
4. Claim victory with zero evidence to it.....Check
5. Ignore evidence.....check.

Also Chyna vs Ivory :Shaqlol:

Everything presented had concrete numbers backing it to the point where those debating me couldn’t respond to them.

Chyna vs Ivory

Chyna was one of the top 3 draws during the Attitude era.

On Jay Leno 3 times in 2000 alone,

on 3rd Rock 3 times in 2000,

Considered for role of antagonist in 3rd Terminatior movie

Went to RNC /DNC with Rock in 2000.

More media appearances than anyone not named Rock on shows such as TRL.

Highest selling playboy at the time until Kim Kardashian.

A New York Times Best selling author.

In the months leading to Wrestlemania 17

So what the hell are you arguing?

She was the most over not named Rock, she even got higher ratings points and more mainstream media coverage than Austin at the time.
