Due to the fact that after the WWE draft both the WWE champion (Triple H) and the World champion (John Cena) ended up on the same brand (RAW), there is likely to be a title change at the upcoming Backlash pay-per view on April 26th.

While Triple H has his title up for grabs in a trios match with all RAW talent, Cena is defending his World title against SmackDown! star Edge. This pretty much guarantees Edge winning the World title to keep the top-two singles titles on opposing brands.

Of course, WWE has been known to switch booking ideas simply to fool people watching, but even still this seems to be a lock.

Meltzer strikes again!!!

Im still saying edge or cena wins and punk cashes in on them. Im assuming edge as edge and punk are on smackdown and they feud going into judgement day in punks hometown. Edge will go out of it for a bit and come back face at Vengance costing someone a match. Im assuming punk a heel punk at the time.

Why not? Edge is a heel punk is face, he has done it before on edge. But i see a role reversal by the time these two fight. I dunno why i can see a heel punk and a face edge but only after judgement day.

The sad thing is that there are people out there that think Dave Meltzer is a god when it comes to wrestling, and if this does happen, they will give him credit for calling this. You know the people I'm talking about, the ones that use his rating system in an argument about how good a wrestler is.

You mean the ones that think he's doing much more than just blatantly stating the obvious like in this 'news' story?

Lol, seriously, Edge's face turn and Edge's time off is getting as annoying as the whole talk around Christian's return feud

^^^ Because edge is either due or people want to see it. Your telling me edge will stay heel for the rest of his wwe run? And remember vince likes giving the fans what they want ..... sometimes.

I meant Dave meltzer gets news wrong at times. Or wwe and tna dont get annoyed that he is releasing news would could be spoliers. Surely they dont like him.

Lol, I could've told anyone that. In fact, 50 percent of the forum said it the day HHH was dradted to Raw.

Edge champion again? Boo.
9 times? Boo.
IN 4 YEARS?! Guess Edge is getting that Lesnar treatment.

Edge deserves it though. I swear, 20 years from now, he'll be remembered as one of the greatest of all time. If you have a dispute with that, don't mention it here, I'm making a thread on it now, lol.

thats the thing, people keep assuming that Edge will win just because he's the only challenger for a main title that is on Smackdown.

There are still many ways they could go. Others mentioned Punk cashing it in on Edge...I don't see that because well then it would be exactly the same as last year, and 2 because the belt would be on Smackdown if Edge wins so they don't need two title changes that quick.

If anyone remembers the night after Mania in that All-Star Tag Match, CM Punk kept eyeing Cena, and Cena kept ignoring him. I'm pretty sure that was done on purpose. I admit I bet on Edge, in vbookie, however its more likely that Cena will retain in the last man standing where both he and edge are practically dead. Cena will just get up before the 10 count to win and then colapse again. CM Punk will then cash it in afterwords. CM Punk I also see going heel from this and being a heel champion on Smackdown.

That's a good point TG. It's a good chance Cena will win and Punk cashes in on him, but the thing that could stand in the way of that is, if that happens, it wouldn't make sense, because then they would have to put Cena and Punk in a feud if they want it to make any sense, because if they put Edge in a feud with Punk after Punk cashes in on Cena, it'd be weird.
Oh, how about this. Don't forget Punk could very well cash it in on the winnder of the HHH/Orton match.
