I hope it will include a full archive of AEW events much like WWE.

It should. AEW Plus on Fite already does this.

The only exception being PPV. Max would though.

12 PPVs a year I'm mixed on. Even ignoring the price discussion, I do like the slower build to big events where you have each event feel more special. It is one of the reasons why golden era NXT was so damn great. But also if the builds have pace and they rotate people on PPV outside of those title matches, it can allow some stories to be told longer-term still and stagger the payoffs outside of the usual big PPV title defenses.

AEW wasn’t doing slower builds, though. A great deal of the time he just started building the month it took place in, and then mostly the last two weeks.

Wrestling needs structure. You can still do longer builds towards bigger events while doing quicker builds in between. Look at Sting/Hogan building from March of 1997 to December while they still had smaller monthly feuds with Luger, Giant, Piper.

Heck you even had that big Nitro 100 moment with Luger winning the belt only to drop it back to Hogan at the monthly PPV and somehow didn’t take away from the overarching plot with Sting taking place.

heck I would add longer builds stand up more amongst shorter monthly builds. like you can have a month long number 1 contender feud while the champ is still in a blood feud with someone else, as an example

This.

I’ve always preferred layered booking. Where you can have several storylines that kind of overlap and you have a challenger that’s born maybe out of a tournament or some thing and he gets a shot while the champion is still waiting to get his hands on the heel keeps ducking his advances or what have you.

I didn’t mention a tournament in my reply, but yes, far fewer with monthly pay-per-view.
i don't even dislike tournies - but I do think they are spamming too many of those + open challenges too close together. like with joe and roddy ok it worked out but its off the heels of other ones recently and they have like 3 belts on open challenge rn lol its a bit much

I love tournaments, but I think they should be established events with their own credibility.

Like winning one is its own prestige. Not just because you get a title shot.

I don't know... I'm not sure I'm liking that plan. :/
