that remains to be seen but would be the best for us customersI'm more than happy with 12 as long as they're included with my subscription which I already get free lol
i have also personally found the booking and pacing to be tighter with less time between ppvs and you can still do long over arching storylines that dont need monthly matches that culminate at the big fourRegardless of how they plan to implement the payment model, I think this is great news. Besides personally preferring having a monthly supercard each month, I fully believe the structure will help Tony’s booking tremendously. He’s already come out of All Out immediately pushing and building WrestleDream. When you have the format of 4 weeks of tv and then a PPV it’s harder to forget to properly push and build your monthly PPV.
That being said, they can’t charge $50 for monthly PPV. They’ll either need to get this on Max, create their own streaming service or create a yearly bundle plan that essentially makes each PPV $15.

and with aew they already kind of either rush build 2 weeks out or build a bunch then thread water on the last few weeks before the ppv. having more ppvs also means that delaying something due to a minor injury doesnt end up take 3 months minimum for the next ppv to sell.This.
100% agreed that you can have a monthly pay-per-view and still book long-term angles that payoff on your big fours. I have years of notes for a WCW BTB, that eventually someday I might post on here when I can commit to it where I have my monthly plan for each pay-per-view, and then I have overarching storylines that I build over to larger marquee events, including the year long build each year to Starcade.
I feel the biggest problem is people often say that having more time gives more time to build but I often find that it actually winds up making it so without that strict tight deadline, you wind up, actually forgetting to build it all or wait until last minute.
Now I realize this might be a bad thing to some people, but I do think when you have like a really big match it really should’ve been on pay-per-view.I also think having a monthly pay-per-view will mean that Tony will reduce the amount of the TV specials that he has so that way Tony doesn’t have to put so many marquee matches on free TV when instead you can put it on that month’s pay per view.
nah as storm said and I agree you just move the specials to be ppv. they already got a bunch of them branded anywaysNow I realize this might be a bad thing to some people, but I do think when you have like a really big match it really should’ve been on pay-per-view.
