I am what commercialized Christians hate. lol
I don't go to church anymore because they judge everyone. I was judged when I went because of my piercings and tattoos. They looked at me like I was scum. Many Christian churches will turn away certain races, poor people and gays and I think thats messed up. Church is not what it once was. Most churches...People praise the Preacher not God, I am not into that. I don't need to go to church to declare my love to God and Jesus.

And no offense taken. I am not one to throw God and Jesus down people's throats because I wouldn't want other people throwing their beliefs down mine.

I think I heard that before. Yeah... I hate religion and what it does to people.

Imo Church should be about bonding and being with the Father. Doesn't matter if you're tall, short, skinny, fatt, black, white, gay, bi, or straight.

It should be for everyone.

Pizza for christmas day? Don't you have a christmas dinner (lunch)?

Yep and nah. Christmas really isn't a big deal for my family anymore (definitely not for me, not even a fan of presents - my parents have made me write a Christmas list before) and most importantly, nobody wants to cook.

This, I had first hand experience from church. The one I went to before made me feel bad for who I was, yes I'm bisexual and whatnot, but why couldn't I be saved? Yes I had long hair, but why couldn't I be saved? It just seemed every little flaw they could point out made it to where I can't be saved, but I would go to hell for it. If I loved God I wouldn't be like this was basically what I was told, so it was better to be a broke, straight, short haired, suit wearing, obnoxious, pushful "Christian" and stay in their little group then to be myself. Sorry I'm not straight, I love my 'fro, and I know God doesn't want me nor my parents to give every penny to a church and not to help ourselves since we need it as well. And it was all well played, no matter what the preacher said, he was always right in their eyes. If you didn't agree then something bad would happen. I remember that when I dated a girl from there he banned her because he didn't want us dating, and that was just a small manipulations I saw there, before anybody else even my family I saw the dark side of the church that seemed to be almost perfect.

If there's anything I learned there though is that it got me into the Bible, I did read a lot of it, and studied a good amount of it. A lot of stuff they did was something Jesus wouldn't do, Jesus wouldn't cast us away from our mistakes, Jesus wouldn't down us for something as silly as a sexual orientation, Jesus wouldn't ask us to give everything away and give nothing in return, and I can go on. It's not the God that was a problem, it was the people. It seems all churches have been like this, they seem to neglect Jesus's teachings, because they didn't forget obviously they are reading from it, but it's sad. The church should be a place where you are not judged, where you come to worship God with other believers and whatnot, not an American Idol casting, getting judged by how well you "appear" to love God and are loyal to the church.

Pretty much this for me too, I'll also be ordering some pizza for Christmas.

For me, I'll wake up at 5 because my little brother will be too excited to sleep any longer, then eventually relatives I only see for Christmas will come to give us presents. I'll probably get a lunchbox again from them. woo.

Religion has taught people these things. Religion is the reason most gays/bi-sexuals hate God or don't believe in him. It is stated in the bible that it is a sin, but so is lying. So you mean to tell me they will let liars in a church but not a gay/bi-sexual!? Its my understanding that in God's eyes, a sin is a sin. Also, The only way a person will go to hell, according to the new testament and what Jesus taught, is if you deny His name (deny your salvation and what he gave us all). I hope the ways of people haven't turned you away from God. Its truly a sad state the world is in. Believing that God is a heartless, loveless being when he in fact is love.

I have a slight amendment to make to my schedule.

I have to pop into work in the morning and check the security of the store and that the freezer and chiller are still working.
