and this is where Fuji comes in :shifty:

Alright, more info. I'm starting to consider starting this up in the new year, the type I'm looking at (based solely on location) is called "Anusara".

Okay, now go.

Yoga is pretty amazing actually. It allows your mind and body to focus as one cohesive unit. It also makes you feel awesome when you're finished and though it is tough to start, the long term benefits cannot be denied. I do Bikram Hot Yoga a few times a month (would admittedly like to do more but its hard to make time) and it is very cleansing. Combined with a healthy diet and a stringent workout schedule I am probably in the best shape I've ever been and I feel great. Yay me.

Hope you do it though, it really is a life altering experience if you allow it to be.

See that's what I'm aiming for, the relaxing peace of mind side of things rather than the stretching and all that.

The place I'm looking at is dead on half way between my house and work, and although it'd only be once a week that's enough for me to begin with while I see if I like it.

It would be a good idea to make sure its for you before committing to anything serious. The peace of mind comes with the stretching, as your body expands its horizons the mind becomes free to expand its own.

More just differences in how the body is aligned, but hot yoga also takes place in a hot room, so you tend to sweat a lot. Wouldn't recommend that if you are just starting, its a lot more intense.
