X-Men '97

[Doom]

Though I've watched every episode except the 8th episode, I haven't given my thoughts about it. I mean, the show's been fucking fantastic. Hopefully I get some time to break it all down.

The episode was superb. It's wholesome to see Cyclops, Jean Grey and Cable coming together as a family, to survive an army of Prime Sentinels. What's awesome about the episode, is the cameo appearances of Doctor Doom and Spider-Man! Holy shit I marked the fuck out when I saw them. I also loved to see Xavier back in time to help make things right before it all goes to shit.

And finally, Magneto being freed to send a catalytic electric shockwave to shut down the Prime Sentinels was pretty damn epic. Credit to Cooper for freeing him, sucks for Bastion to see his "children" being defeated by Magnus.

The last two episode's gonna be batshit crazy. This has been a hellacious ride!

I loved the car chase and the dad and son blasting away at sentinels. I really, really like Nightcrawler in this too, his dialogue is fantastic, he has huge depth of character ... and holy shit that scene where he pulls the Prime and Wolverine through the teleport vortex was so well done. the animation on the battle sequences is unmatched

That's awesome chemistry to see them both work together indeed. The "vortex" scene was absolutely crazy. And it also demonstrates the sword skills of Nightcrawler which he kicked ass, though those bastards regenerated.

2 Episodes to go in this amazing Show and I boy we got another wonderful one this Week. Bastion could be a great Villian in Live Action in the Future once we start up the X-Men in the MCU especially if they tie in any stuff from X-Men 97 into it. Bastion thinks he has the World in Checkmate but he's underselling the Will of the X-Men and the Will of the people on Earth and it will cost him. Wolverine/Nightcrawler vs all those Prime Sentinels was amazing and us the Viewer seeing what Nightcrawler goes through when he Teleports was out of this World. The Animation in this Series has hit the Mark every way since Episode 1 and let me tell you for a guy who watches tons of Anime that isn't always the Case.

The Summers did their thing as well don't mess with the Summers indeed I just can't wait to see all of the X-Men come together vs Bastion and his allies. Surely the person who let Magneto go has to be Mystique she was trying too hard to get Magneto's forgiveness but I might be wrong on that. Magneto shutting down Earth with that Shockwave man he's not fucking around and Bastion knew he would be a problem which is why he made it a point to capture him in the first place. Xavier just in time for the big battle to happen and don't forget we've got Storm and Forge on their way as well.

Watch it back because you see the talking between them and then moments you see Bastion talking to her and locking her up. We don't see her letting out Magneto so she could of shown her face right there just off Screen. If that is the Case then Magneto will come back to save her no doubt.

Seeing Nightcrawler whether the Eulogy for Gambit or in this Episode makes me want to have my Marvel Select Nightcrawler Fig I had before it was lost in Storage after my Dad stopping paying for it.

Hoping that it's not perma death and they'll manage to do a time thing after Bastion is finally defeated but we shall see, hard to tell what the next step is because...yknow...Magneto just declared war against earth
