Main Event
WWU Championship
Shawn Michaels (c) VS The Rock VS Bret Hart VS Mr. Money in the Bank, Shelton Benjamin

When the WWU was first conceived, on the very first edition of Dynamite, The Rock and Shawn Michaels were already going at it like cats and dogs. After facing each other at Apocalypse and in a 2-out-of-3 Falls match at the Royal Rumble, The Rock and Shawn Michaels ended there epic rivalry in a 60 Minute Ironman match in which Shawn Michaels became WWU Champion. The Rock then went on to battle with the McMahon Alliance, whilst Shawn Michaels defended his championship against greats like Undertaker and Bret Hart.

In a match dubbed ’10 Years in the Making’, Bret Hart, in Montreal Canada, at Survivor Series last month, unsuccessfully challenged Shawn Michaels for the WWU Championship. These two men couldn’t be controlled, and The Rock was placed as Special referee.

The next night, there was a 10 Man Battle Royal to determine the next challenger for Michaels WWU Championship at Retribution. It came down to Bret Hart, The Rock and then Pacific Champion, Mr. Money in the Bank, Shelton Benjamin. Bret Hart was eliminated and The Rock & Benjamin battled it out, until Bret Hart returned to the ring and tossed both out over the top rope, leaving the entire WWU in confusion as too who won the match.

The next week, The Rock took on Benjamin once again, in a one fall No. 1 Contendership match, which ended in a No Contest after Bret Hart interfered. This led Ric Flair to announce a Fatal 4 Way match at Retribution!

Following this blockbuster announcement the following week, Bret Hart cost Shelton Benjamin his Pacific Championship. Shawn Michaels and The Rock were forced to team together against the World Tag Team Champions, and after the match-up, The Rock once again shockingly turned his back on the fans of the WWU, leaving the champion a bloody mess in the ring.

The final stop before the PPV, there was a chaotic 8 Man tag match, which afterwards The Rock was the final man standing. Who will claim the WWU’s finest prize this Sunday?

--------------------------------

Randy Orton VS Undertaker

Randy Orton and the Undertaker were once running buddies, together in the McMahon Alliance dominating the landscape of the WWU. The Undertaker was getting repeatedly mistreated, due to his inability to defeat HBK for the WWU Championship. All this came to a head at Survivor Series, when the McMahon Alliance was defeated and forced to disband, thanks to the Undertaker tombstoning his tag partner Randy Orton.

Orton was originally hesitant to step into the ring with the Deadman, but will be forced to come Sunday at Retribution!

------------------------------------

Intercontinental Championship
Ladder
Chris Jericho VS Rob Van Dam (c)

On the very first edition of Monday Night Dynamite, over 8 months ago, RVD claimed the Intercontinental Championship. Since then, he has beaten such superstars as Kurt Angle, Bret Hart, Hulk Hogan, Mick Foley and many, many more. In the meantime, Chris Jericho has been working up the ladder, and battling the toughest men WWU has to offer.

At Survivor Series, Rob Van Dam had to defend his title against Jericho. After some dirty tactics, Van Dam secured the victory.
But it wasn’t over, as Y2J secured himself a re-match, this time with the belt suspended 20 feet high above the ring, proclaiming he would unseat the longest reigning champion in WWU history! Will he live up to his words? We’ll find out at Retribution!

-------------------------

Big Show VS Brock Lesnar

Big Show & Brock were once part of the biggest force in the WWU, the McMahon Alliance, until it was forced to disband at Survivor Series. Brock Lesnar then tried to assault Big Show, who eliminated him out of the Battle Royal and announced he was going to take down Lesnar. After sneak attacks and brawls, when these two behemoths meet in the ring, who’ll come out on top?

------------------------------

World Tag Team Champion, Umaga VS ???
Umaga, one third of the tag champions the Wild Samoans, is one of the most dominating superstars in the WWU. The former Pacific Champion is going to take on an unknown superstar making his return to the WWU. Find out who at the PPV!

-------------------------------

Pacific Championship
Edge (c) VS Christian

These two brothers were once the top team in the WWU, even laying claim to the World Tag Team Championships. Everything though began to slide down hill for E & C, after losing their World Tag Team Championships at WrestleFest. They fought The Hardys in a Ladder match at King of the Ring, only to come up short and have Christian get injured. Edge continued on a solo career, cheating his way to the top, much to our fans disdain. After Edge, with Bret Hart’s help, won the Pacific Championship, Christian returned and layed out his egotistical brother, setting the stage for Retribution. Brother VS brother, who’ll come out on top?

-----------------------------

6 Man Tag
Cruiserweight Champion, X-Pac & Rey Mysterio & AJ Styles VS Eddie Guerrero & Dean Malenko & Chavo Guerrero

Survivor Series. Montreal, Quebec, Canada. A scheduled Cruiserweight Championship match between X-Pac and Gregory Helms. The match never begins due to both men being layed out earlier in the show. Helms has not been seen since.

What happened? We found out 8 days later on Dynamite, when Dean Malenko & Eddie Guerrero revealed themselves as the assailants. Eddie made the challenge to X-Pac for the Cruiserweight Championship at Bad Blood, which X-Pac accepted, and then the match was made, X-Pac naming his partners later that night, as did Malenko & Guerrero. Who will come out the victors in this Cruiserweight Clash? Find out this Sunday!

PART 1

-Opening video highlighting all of tonight’s rivalries. Shows very close attention to The Rock’s heel turn, Hart costing Shelton the Pacific Championship, Christian returning & RVD winning at Survivor Series-

JR: Welcome to the Pay-Per-View spectacular, aptly named, Retribution! Let’s kick it off with some debut Cruiserweight action!

Tazz: Eddie Guerrero and Dean Malenko claim the Cruiserweight division here in WWU is a joke, let’s see if they’re right by beating 3 of its top stars, along with teaming with one!

Eddie Guerrero, Dean Malenko & Chavo Guerrero VS Cruiserweight Champion, X-Pac, AJ Styles & Rey Mysterio

The two men who start off are Rey & Eddie, two guys we’ve seen many classic battles from in the past. They lock-up and Eddie hits a hard punch to the gut before taking Mysterio down with a snap DDT. Guerrero then drags Rey to his corner and tags in Chavo, who perform a top rope flip onto Rey one after the other, only to manage a 2 count. Chavo stomps on Rey before putting him in the corner in a seated position and tagging in Malenko. The two stomp on Rey, before Dean drags him into the centre of the ring and lifts up Mysterio by the knee. He hangs it over his neck and Rey screams in pain

JR: These 2 men showing no signs of ring rust

AJ starts a slow clap to will Rey on, who then counters into a Hurracanrana! Mysterio dives and tags in Styles as Malenko tags in Eddie. AJ gets the hot tag and goes wild on all 3 of the heels with forearms and heel kicks. He attempts the Stylin’ DDT, but Chavo hits a big dropkick when Styles has Eddie in the reverse DDT position. Chavo drags AJ over to the corner and tags in Malenko. Dean pulls up Styles, but gets a Hurracanrana! He dives and tags X-Pac, as Dean tags in Eddie, who was yelling for the tag

JR: This right here is a Bad Blood preview, who’ll come out on top?

X-Pac & Guerrero exchange chain wrestling, headlock, snapmare, you know. Eddie gets X-Pac in an armbar but Pac tosses him over his head before Guerrero comes back and X-Pac locks him in his own armbar. Eddie wriggles through the legs and then gives X-Pac a hard elbow to the temple, followed by a stiff knee drop to the back of the neck. X-Pac lays on the mat as Eddie taunts, but he gets his legs swept from under him then X-Pac goes for a single leg boston crab, but Eddie flips him through. The two both charge and go for crossbodies, colliding in mid-air. Both slowly crawl and get the tag to Dean Malenko & Rey Mysterio, respectively. Rey and Dean charge at ach other, Malenko catching Mysterio in mid-air and hitting a quick powerslam. He then grips Rey’s knee and drags him over to the turnbuckle, locking him in the tree of woe. Malenko repeatedly barrages Mysterio’s knee with fists and elbows, until the referee pushes him away from the turnbuckle and gives him a talking too. Eddie runs along the ramp and grips Rey’s ankle, before jumping down to the outside mat, wrenching down Rey’s leg in the process.

JR: Now that was just a down right cheapshot!

Malenko laughs as he climbs up onto the top rope. He grabs Rey and holds him in a knee breaker position, before jumping off and hitting a kneebreaker from the top rope! Eddie & Chavo clap him on as he goes round to the outside, locking in a Figure 4 Leg Lock around the ring post. Rey screams in pain as the referee starts a 10 count. Eddie is about to step into the ring when Styles runs in and knocks him off the apron, the referee then forcing him back into the corner, which gives Chavo the opportunity to start delivering some hard stomps to Mysterio’s knee.

Tazz: This team has the perfect strategy, work over a body part and keep Mysterio isolated

Dean release the hold as Rey clutches his knee in agony. Malenko torques it in n awkward direction, before putting him in a single leg Boston crab and going over to his corner. He tags in Eddie and grapevines the leg, before Guerrero comes off the second rope and stomps across the knee! Guerrero laughs as Rey struggles in pain to get to his corner. Eddie crawls alongside him mockingly, before lifting him up by the head and then beginning the Three Amigos. He gets Rey over once, twice, then on the third Mysterio blocks and slides under Guerrero’s legs, getting him into a sunset flip! 1,2,-no! Guerrero just kicked out. Both men get to their feet but Eddie charges and hits a low dropkick to Rey’s knee.

JR: Mysterio desperately needs to make a tag!

Eddie drags Rey over and tags in Chavo, who lifts up Rey’s knee, presumably going for a boston crab. Rey kicks him off though, then dodges a crossbody, hobbling over and making the tag to AJ Styles! There’s a big pop as Styles goes wild, taking down the whole other team. Eddie tries to blindside AJ, but he is back dropped over the top rope! Malenko tries as well, but gets low bridged out! Chavo is left alone groggy in the ring and AJ hits the Stylin’ DDT! 1,2-No! Chavo kicked out! Styles gets up and hooks Chavo in for the Styles Clash, but Eddie suddenly bounds off the top rope, hitting a flying clothesline on AJ! Both Chavo and Styles begin to crawl to their corners for the tag, respectively aging in Eddie Guerrero & X-Pac. X-Pac hits a snap suplex and climbs to the top rope.

Tazz: No, no, no, this could spell the end! Guerrero must stop him!

Malenko though comes up behind X-Pac and shoves him off! Eddie climbs up and hits the Five Star Frog Splash!

Eddie Guerrero, Dean Malenko & Chavo Guerrero win by pinfall

JR: Could this be the sight we see come Bad Blood?

Eddie signals he’ll be champion as Dean and Chavo clap him on

----

Backstage, we see Big Show and Brock Lesnar brawling. A whole bunch of superstars and roadies come down and pull them apart. Ric Flair walks into the picture and announces that their mach tonight is now No Disqualifications!

----

Pacific Championship
Edge (c) VS Christian

JR: These two men are former World Tag Team Champions and one of the greatest tag teams of their generation, but now their at each others throats! Who will come out on top on this brother VS brother clash?

Edge and Christian lock-up, but Edge ducks down and slides through the legs of Christian, before hitting him with an elbow to the back of the head followed by a stiff dropkick. Edge covers for 2 and locks in a Fujiwara armbar, Christian manages to get to the ropes and force Edge to break. As Edge is forced away by the referee, Christian charges and takes Edge down, followed by repeated strikes to the skull to a big pop. Christian works over Edge’s neck until Edge manages to cling to the bottom rope. Edge stands up onto the apron and gives Christian a thumb to the eye. He now tries to suplex Christian down to the mat, but Christian manages to land on the apron. The two trade fists until Edge ducks one and hits an Impaler DDT off the apron straight down to the floor!

JR: These two brothers are beating each other from pillar to post!

The referee gets to a 5 count when Edge gets up and back into the ring. He taunts Christian to great boos, who is trying to pry his way into the ring. Edge bounces off the opposite side of the ring and hits a HARD baseball slide, which sends Christian tumbling into the barricade. Edge laughs sadistically as he grabs his brother by the hair and slams him headfirst into the steps, before tossing him into the ring and covering him with one foot. He gets lots of heat. Christian kicks out at one to a big pop. Edge just brushes it off and sits in the corner

Tazz: He wants to put his brother away here, with the spear!

Christian turns around and Edge dives, but gets launched face first into the turnbuckle, and when he stumbles away he gets hit with a Reverse DDT! Christian then climbs up to the top rope and waits for Edge to get up. He soars off and connects with a crossbody-but Edge rolls through with a handful of tights! 1, 2-No! Christian kicked out! Both men spring to their feet and deliver simultaneous clotheslines, taking both men out. The referee slowly begins the double count, and at 6 Edge is up while Christian is only on his knees. Edge drags Christian over to the bottom rope and stands on the back of his head, choking him out against the bottom rope for the full 4 count before stepping off

Tazz: That is the build of a champion right there! Mark my words, Edge will claim the World Championship before this year is over!

Edge slaps Christian around a bit before Christian shoves him away, making Edge angry. He runs at Christian, who ducks a big kick to the side of the head and sweeping Edge’s legs out from under him. Christian hits a quick clothesline followed by a dropkick on Edge, who falls into the corner. Edge is leaning on the corner and suddenly he unties the protective covering, but the referee doesn’t see! Christian runs at him, but Edge steps out of the way and drop toe holds his brother right onto the exposed turnbuckle, busting Christian wide open! As Christian holds his forehead, Edge springs off the ropes and hits a spinning neckbreaker!

Tazz: This is it! This is it!

1,2-NO! Christian got his foot on the bottom rope! Edge is irate and perches himself down in the bottom turnbuckle, preparing for the spear

JR: This could be it as well, the spear is one of the most devastating moves in the business!

Edge runs at Christian, but he steps out of the way and Edge spears the referee! Edge gets too his feet and Christian, with blood dripping down his chest hits a big Unprettier! But there’s no referee, he’s out cold on the floor! Christian pants heavily as he stands on the apron, trying to wake up the referee, suddenly Edge hits a low blow! Christian is standing in pain on the apron, when Edge bounces off the other side of the ring and spears him through the ropes!! Both men roll around on the floor, Edge clinging to his right shoulder while Christian holds his back

JR: There should be a count right now, but there’s no referee!!

Christian is still on the mat when Edge gets to his feet. He laughs as he grabs Christian’s bleeding head and slams it onto the barricade, then tosses his brother back first into the steel steps. Finally, the champion throws Christian in the ring and goes under the apron-pulling out two steel chairs!

Tazz: The Con-Chair-To, we’ve seen so many people put out with this move, hell, I even remember when these two guys did it together!

Edge lays the first chair beneath his brothers head and then holds the second in the air. Edge leans down, mocking his brother, when the chair gets kicked back into his face! Christian gets up and delivers the Unprettier onto the steel chair! But there’s no referee still, until another comes sprinting down the ramp. 1,2-NO! Edge kicked out Christian gets up and begins to argue with the referee, when Edge rolls him up and grabs a handful of tights! 1,2,3!

Edge wins by pinfall
STILL Pacific Champion: Edge

JR: Edge stole that match! He had to use low blows, eye rakes, steel chairs and every other dirty move under the sun to secure the victory!

Tazz: But that’s exactly what he did; secure yet another victory for the Rated R Superstar!

Edge laughs as he clings his title and Christian stands in the ring furious

---------

Backstage we see Shawn Michaels warming up in his dressing room. Shelton Benjamin walks in with his briefcase

Shawn: What the hell do you want?

Shelton: I want that title, and oh don’t worry I’ll get it. Even if I don’t win the Fatal 4 Way (Benjamin taps his briefcase)

HBK: Get outta my locker room before I knock you out punk

Benjamin chuckles as he walks out the door

--------

No DQ
Big Show VS Brock Lesnar

JR: The two are former buddies, controlling the WWU as part of the McMahon Alliance, but are now bitter enemies

Tazz: Who will come out on top? The next big thing or the largest athlete in the world? And what makes it even more exciting, No Disqualifications!! Anything goes!

Big Show is stepping over the rope when Lesnar starts to hit him with clubbing blows to the back of the head and upper back. Show knocks him off and Lesnar charges back but gets a big boot to the head. Show walks over Lesnar’s lower back to a big pop before dropping his knee into the back of Lesnar’s neck. Big Show pulls up Brock and takes him over to the corner and goes for his big slap, but Brock gives him a thumb to the eye, and then locks in a sleeper hold

JR: That was a legal move folks, this match is No Disqualifications!

Tazz: If he wanted, Lesnar could’ve pulled out Show’s eye and not be disqualified!

Lesnar now jumps up onto Show’s back and tries to get the big man down. Show gets to one knee, and then counters the sleeper hold, throwing Brock over his head and down to the floor! Big Show pants and then steps over the top rope. Brock is slowly crawly away and Show follows him, only to get hit with a low blow! Show drops to one knee and Lesnar Irish whips him into the barricade breaking it into pieces!!

JR: Oh my god!! The weight of Big Show and the strength of Lesnar has caused our ringside barrier to shatter!

Big Show slowly gets to his feet and Brock immeadiately goes back on the offensive. He uses clubbing blows to the back of the head and neck, then tries to lift Big Show up for a powerbomb

Tazz: I know Brock’s strong, but is he THAT strong?

Brock lifts him up almost into a seated position, but Big Show counters and back drops Brock on the outside floor! Big Show pulls Lesnar up by the head and hits some big right hands before putting Brock in a big bearhug! Big Show runs forward and slams Lesnar’s lower back into the ring apron, before throwing him under the bottom rope into the ring and covering for a 2 count. Big Show gets up and goes back beneath the bottom rope, pulling a steel chair out. He sits in wait for Brock Lesnar to get up. Lesnar slowly gets up and Big Show approaches with the chair, only to get hit with another low blow! Show drops the chair and Brock seizes the opportunity, DDTing Big Show right onto the steel chair and then transitioning into a body scissors

JR: Big Show may be out cold!!

After a while in the hold, the referee starts to hold up Big Show’s hand to check if he’s out. 1. 2. Big Show pulls his hand up! Lesnar is in shock and releases Big Show instead swivelling around and putting him in a rear naked choke. Big Show gets to one knee, then hits some hard elbows into Brock’s gut, making him release the grip. Brock slowly walks back over and is hit by a big headbutt from Big Show, sending Lesnar into the turnbuckle. Big Show slowly lifts Brock up onto the top rope, then goes up himself.

Tazz: Last time we saw this the ring smashed!!

Big Show goes for a superplex, but Lesnar hits some hard shots to the gut and Show falls to the mat. Brock then uncharacteristically flies from the top and hits a Macho Man-like elbow. 1, 2-NO! Big Show kicked out again! Lesnar gets up and begins to pound on Show’s knee, before locking him in a one-legged Boston crab, digging his knee into the back of Big Show. Show struggles initially, but then manages to get to the ropes

JR: That’s why Brock is so dangerous, not only is he a powerhouse, he’s one of the best mat wrestlers in the world today!

Brock is forced back by the referee as Big Show gets up on the ropes. Brock runs at Show, but he is picked up into a big military press! Big Show holds him high in the air-then drops him over the top rope to the floor, right in front of the announcers table!!

Tazz: My god, Lesnar could have broken ribs!

Show follows him to the outside and wraps his hand around Brock’s throat. But Lesnar counters and pulls Big Show onto his shoulders for the F5!! Big Show hits a stiff elbow to the head and ducks a right hand, gripping the throat and delivering a thunderous chokeslam on the outside! It’s over!

Big Show wins by pinfall

-----------------

Backstage, we see Todd Grisham with The Rock

Todd: Rocky, was their a reason you attacked Shawn Michaels just a few weeks ago on Dynamite?

Rock: A reason? Of course there was a reason Toddy, The Rock always had a reason! The Rock was sick of being this nice little guy all the kiddies wanted to be like, hell, those little kiddies can go kiss somebody else’s ass! The Rock is here in the WWU for himself and himself only, not for these little jabronis out in the crowd! Not for that HomoKid Shawn Michaels, not for that whining bitch Bret Hart, nobody! The Rock is here to lay the smackdown on the entire roster, and claim his prize, the WWU Championship!

The Rock storms off, getting ready for his match

----------------

World Tag Team Champion, Umaga VS ???

JR: Now who is this mystery superstar who will be debuting tonight?

Tazz: Let’s find out!

Umaga comes to the ring, then Ric Flair walks down to the front of the ramp

Flair: Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, let me introduce to you, none other than-

Suddenly we hear the breaking of glass to a huge pop

Flair: Stone Cold Steve Austin!!

Austin comes down to the ring to an amazing reaction, diving straight in and hitting Umaga with a big right, another, then the middle finger and a hard clothesline. Austin bounces off the ropes, gives Umaga the finger again and drops his forearm into the tag champions face. Austin covers but gets thrown off, he turns around to hit Umaga and is hit with a big Samoan Drop!

JR: No Matter how good Stone Cold is, we can’t discount the power, agility and size of the Samoan Bulldozer, Umaga!

Umaga now begins to hit Austin, before taking him to the bottom turnbuckle. Umaga walks across the ring-then charges across and hits a massive Samoan Wrecking Ball! Umaga pulls Austin down for the cover, but only manages 2. Umaga pulls Stone Cold up, but then gets a hard shot to the chest. Austin runs at Umaga but then is hit with a huge Scrapbuster! Umaga covers but only gets two

JR: If there’s anything Stone Cold is remembered for, it’s for being one tough SOB

Umaga is charging around irate arguing with the referee. He notices Austin getting up and kicks him in the side of the head, before leaping off the second rope and hitting a big headbutt. Umaga now pulls up Steve and signals the end

Tazz: No matter how tough he is, let’s see is Austin can withstand the Samoan Spike!

Umaga swings but Stone Cold ducks and spins around, nailing the Stone Cold Stunner! 1, 2, 3!

Stone Cold Steve Austin wins by pinfall
Austin climbs up onto the turnbuckle and celebrates like he did back in the day, with a pair of Steve-weisers

Hey nice start to the BTB and I think this BTB can actually go places but I do have a few criticisms...

BM: Edge Vs Christian, both men had a chance to do what they had to do, you really put Edge over as the hel well with dirty tactics and the 6-Man Tag opener was close too.

WM: Sorry but it's the Main Event. Umaga dominated the whole match apart from the first few seconds, SCSA hits him with the Stunner and it's over after Umaga domainated the whole thing.

BP: The Rock with Todd Grisham, pretty in-character but still not as good as it coul have been.

WP: HBK/Shelton, not anything like what the two would say to eachother in real life, it got a point across. I know it's only minor but try using "I'll kick your teeth down your throat" when HBK instead of "I'll knock you out".

Additional comments: That was great for a first show and I hope you listen to some of my pointers because although it looks like I criticised you quite a bit I genuinely think you can be a successful BTB'er so keep the good work and you'll soon start to improve. :)

Moonlight Drive

Guest
-Part 2-

After some replays and what not, we see Stone Cold backstage with Todd Grisham

Todd: Stone Cold, how do you feel after returning to the WWU and winning your first match back?

Austin: You know what Todd? It feels good. Damn good. Stone cold Steve Austin is back kicking ass and taking names. Austin 3:16 says there’s nothing gonna stop me getting what I want here, and that’s the bottom line ‘cause-

Stone Cold lets the fans finish it of with a ‘Stone Cold said so!’

----------------------------------

Kurt Angle VS Kane

JR: For weeks, Kane brutally attacked the Olympic Gold Medallist. Will Kurt Angle tonight get his Retribution, or will the King of the Ring fall prey to the Big Red Machine?

Angle slowly begins his walk to the ring, when Kane comes from behind and the two begin an all out brawl. After trading several right hands between each other, Kane hits a hard uppercut and Angle tumbles back into the barricade. Kane charges at him but Kurt dodges and Kane charges straight into the barricade. Angle quickly grabs a rebounding Kane and hits a hard german suplex on the entrance way

Tazz: This match-up hasn’t even started yet!

Angle is trying to get up into the ring, as Kane gets up too. Kurt is on the apron and Kane is close behind him. Angle dives off but gets caught by Kane, who gives Angle a sidewalk slam on the floor! Kane laughs as he goes under the ring and whips out a steel chair. He lays it beneath Kurt’s head and begins to choke Angle.

JR: Last time we saw this Kane nearly ruptured Angle’s throat!

Kurt though rakes the ey of Kane and he moves away, as Kurt picks up the steel chair! He swings and hits Kane square in the head, but it barely moves him. He hits hi a second time, and finally a third, before Kane goes down onto one knee. Kurt seizes the opportunity and hits Kane across the back with the chair then locks in the ankle lock! Kane is on the floor screaming in pain, no way for him to make Angle release the hold! Security rushes down to the ring and pull Angle off as Kane gets up to his feet slowly. Angle tosses off the security and once again hits Kane across the head with the steel chair.

No Contest

JR: Hell, Angle may not have won this match, but he sure got exactly what he came here to get, revenge on the Big Red Machine!

----------------------------------------

Jericho is backstage with Todd Grisham

Todd: Chris, you’ve challenged for the Intercontinental Championship unsuccessfully before, and RVD has beaten some of the best superstars in the WWU. And it’s a Ladder match, how does that make you feel?

Chris: Well, to be honest, Y2J isn’t even fazed. I created Money in the Bank. I’ve been in plenty of ladder matches in my day, and stolen the show in every one. RVD can talk himself up all he wants, about how he beat Bret Hart, how he beat Kurt Angle, blah blah blah, but when it comes right down to it; RVD knows he can’t beat Chris Jericho

Jericho’s music hits and he goes out for his match

Intercontinental Championship
Ladder
Rob Van Dam (c) VS Chris Jericho

Tazz: Now we all know Jericho is just full of it. RVD is an ECW original; he is the lord of ladder matches!

JR: Rob Van Dam cheated to win back at Survivor Series, and now it’s time for Y2J to get him back! You may think RVD is the lord of ladder matches, but I’ll tell ya something Tazz, Jericho will give him a run for his money!

Rob climbs into the ring and both superstars stare above as the belt is hung high above the ring. Suddenly, RVD hits a big punch to the gut and it’s on! Jericho and Van Dam trade rights and lefts until Jericho backs Van Dam to the ropes, before throwing him across the ring and hitting a big hip toss. Some chain wrestling ensues, until Rob ducks a clothesline from Jericho and hits a big neckbreaker. RVD then bounces off the ropes and goes for Rolling Thunder-only to have Jericho jump up and dropkick Van Dam square in the jaw mid-move! Van Dam tumbles back and lands on his chest in the ropes, Jericho getting ready for one of his signature moves. He runs from the other side of the ring and attempts to drop a leg across Van Dam’s upper back. Rob moves out of the way though, and Jericho gets hung up on the second rope then falls to the mat. RVD grabs Jericho by the hair, then begins to slam him head first into the mat repeatedly. RVD laughs as he stands up to a chorus of boos, before he leaps up and gives a big knee drop to the back of Jericho’s leg. As Jericho clutches his knee, RVD quickly slides out of the ring and cockily saunters down the ramp

Tazz: RVD’s going for the ladder, this could get ugly!

Van Dam grips a ladder and begins to carry it back to the ring. As he is about to get back in, Y2J suddenly moonsaults from the turnbuckle and comes crashing down on RVD AND the ladder!!

JR: Dear lord, RVD and Jericho for that matter may have internal injuries from that landing!

Jericho slowly climbs up to his feet, Van Dam down on the mat. Jericho pulls up the ladder and slams it down onto Van Dam’s rib cage hard, before beginning his slow climb into the ring. Chris pushes the ladder in under the bottom rope and gets up onto the apron, only to have RVD sweep his legs out from under him and send him straight down to the floor outside. Van Dam walks over and pulls out another adder, before tossing Jericho in the ring and climbing up onto the apron. RVD hesitates getting in for a second, and it comes back to bite him, as Jericho performs a Triangle Dropkick, sending the ladder straight into RVD’s face!! Van Dam falls to the outside ad the ladder lands across the apron and the barricade. Chris falls down in exhaustion, but then sets up the second ladder that’s in the ring. And slowly begins his climb for the championship belt. Jericho is reaching out, just another rung away from the belt, when Rob suddenly jumps off the top rope and dropkicks the ladder down, Jericho landing throat first on the top rope and springing back

JR: Bad gawd, what won’t these men do to claim that prestigious Intercontinental Championship!?

Tazz: I don’t think there’s anything they won’t do. Both have got plenty to prove, and there’s a hell of a lot at stake JR

RVD and Jericho both slowly get up to their feet, meeting in the middle of the ring and trading rights and lefts. Jericho hits a hard one which wobbles Van Dam, who steps back a bit. Jericho seizes the opportunity, hitting a quick step-up enzuigiri, sending RVD to the mat. Jericho then lays the ladder across Van Dam and attempts a Lionsault-but RVD rolls himself and the ladder out of the way, Chris getting nothing but mat! Jericho gets to his feet and RVD throws him the ladder, and then kicks it straight into his face!! Chris is now bleeding from the forehead as Van Dam lays him across the ladder-and connects with Rolling Thunder!!

Tazz: I think that’s all Y2J can handle, this is it Rob, get up that ladder!!

RVD pants and holds his back as he sets up the ladder, but it’s nowhere near the belt. RVD slowly climbs to the top, and performs his thumb taunt

Tazz: No! What the hell is he doing! The Rock said it best earlier tonight Rob, you’re not here for the fans, you’re here for the gold! Don’t throw this match!

RVD doesn’t listen though and flies high, trying for a Five Star Frog Splash from 10 feet in the air! But Y2J rolls out of the way! RVD grabs his mid-section in pain as both men are out on the canvas. Van Dam slowly gets up and is leaning on the ropes when Jericho comes running at him. RVD is quick though and back drops Chris high up onto the ladder that is still lying between the barricade and the apron. Chris lands on his feet though and then tries to reverse suplex RVD onto the ladder. But in another great display of athleticism (which gets a great pop) Rob lands on his feet on the ladder. Jericho spins around and the two trade slow right hands. RVD hits a hard one and Jericho steps back to the ring apron/ Van Dam moves towards him when Chris runs up for his signature running bulldog, but RVD counters and tosses Chris onto the ladder, and then Y2J falls down to the mat in pain!

JR: You are definitely right Tazz; both of these men will take every risk to injure the other

While Chris is lying on the outside, RVD slowly moves down from the ladder. He grabs the ladder and moves it off and slams it into Jericho, who once again writhes in pain from the shot, blood now streaming onto his chest. Van Dam throws the ladder into the ring and then begins a search beneath the apron. RVD slowly and painfully pulls out 4 tables and pushes them in the ring.

Tazz: Now if Jericho went through those babies, he’d be out for sure!

RVD slowly, visibly in pain, double stacks the tables. When he is finished, Jericho suddenly flies off the top rope and hits a huge crossbody! Both men lay down on the floor for a short time, but Y2J is up first. He gets a big pop as he locks in the Walls of Jericho!! RVD is screaming in pain as Jericho uses all his strength to wrench the legs and back of the Intercontinental Champion, who is violently tapping

JR: Lucky for Van Dam this match can’t end by submission, or he’d be out with the dogs

Eventually, Jericho just falls off the hold from exhaustion. And extremely slowly sets up the second ladder next to the other and drags himself upwards towards the belt, wincing in pain at each rung. Jericho stretches and has his fingertips on the belt, but RVD is on the other ladder beside him hitting hard fists to the gut. Jericho returns with some fists of his own, before leaping off the ladder with a big bulldog!!

Tazz: Somebody check on these guys, I’m serious!

The crowd is going nuts, but Jericho seemed to be more hurt in the move than Van Dam did. RVD is onto one knee first then hits a stiff heel kick, and lays the bloody Jericho on the first level on the two sets of double stacked tables. RVD now climbs up the ladder, and seems split between the belt and jumping. He shrugs and flies, landing a Frog Splash through Jericho and 4 tables!!!

JR: That’s it, there’s no way Jericho is going to get up from that one!

Van Dam is actually getting a good reception from that big spot, until he flips off the crowd as he ascends the ladder. RVD gets to the top while Jericho wriggles about in the rubble of the tables. Van Dam reaches and wrenches the belt down

Rob Van Dam wins by retrieving the belt
Still Intercontinental Champion: Rob Van Dam

JR: I may not like Rob’s attitude, or his tactics, but that was one hell of a match!

Tazz: It was, but now Chris Jericho is just another statistic in the reign of Rob Van Dam. 8 Months and counting, can anyone stop this man?

--------------------------------------

Backstage, the Co-General Manager of Dynamite, Ric Flair, sits at his desk and Todd Grisham walks in with a camera man

Todd: Mr. Flair, have you got a minute?

Flair: WOO!! Hey, Toddy, how are you doing! Of course, the Naitch has got a minute

Todd: I’m good Ric. Now, we’ve heard rumours about you and the Co-GM having a Draft tomorrow night, can you confirm this?

Flair: Now me and Shane O have been cruising around, styling and profiling, discussing exactly that matter! And indeed, WOO, tomorrow at Midday, we’re holding a WWU draft!

Todd: Any ideas on how this draft will work?

Flair: Basically Toddy, on WWU.com, each GM, me of Dynamite and Shane of the soon-to-be brand, pick 5 superstars each, and then the rest are randomised! Although the champions are ineligible, their fate is something for a different time

Todd: Any ideas on who you’ll pick Mr. Flair?

Flair: You’re gonna have to wait till tomorrow, WOO!

Todd: We’ll let you get back to the action JR and Tazz

--------------------------------------------

Randy Orton VS Undertaker

JR: This rivalry is quite personal. Both Randy Orton and the Undertaker want to hurt each other, this match could get violent

Tazz: JR, I know exactly what will happen. Undertaker will just become another Legend Killed, and joins the statistics of Randy Orton, much like Jericho joined the statistics of RVD

JR: We’ll see about that, never count out the Deadman

Orton steps into the ring standing in wait for the Undertaker. We hear the now infamous gongs and the lights go out. When they go back on, Randy is face to face with the Deadman. Orton stands there shocked, while Undertaker slowly performs his throat slit taunt to a huge pop. Orton is trying to back away, but Undertaker continues to walk towards him. Orton is stuck in the corner and ‘Taker swings, but Randy ducks and crawls under the bottom rope. Undertaker follows and begins to chase Orton around the ring. Randy laps the ring twice, before he slides back in. Undertaker follows, but gets a low dropkick to the skull as he does. Randy now gets his chance, and starts to pound on the Undertaker.

JR: Orton is running scared!

Tazz: See, that was all part of his brilliant strategy. Orton is the future. If he is on the new show in the draft, I guarantee a world championship reign for this young man, I can sense it

Orton pulls Undertaker to the centre of the ring, and after a few stiff fists, begins the Randy Orton stomp. Randy circles ‘Taker, stomping at his limbs, then does his signature taunt and drops a knee across the chest. Randy then pulls Undertaker over to the bottom rope and places his throat across it, before stepping on the back of his neck and forcing his weight onto Undertaker, choking him. Orton steps off at 4 and covers, but only gets 2. Randy is irate and throws Undertaker into the turnbuckle, starting to hit him with rights and lefts to the gut. The Deadman though retaliates with some fists of his own.

Tazz: I thought Randy was smarter than this, he should know nobody can match Undertaker in a fist fight

Undertaker hits a very hard shot, and then pulls Randy up onto his shoulders. He hits the Snake Eyes and then follows it up with a running big boot! Undertaker twists Orton’s arm and begins to walk along the top rope-bur Randy pushes him off and Undertaker plummets all the way to the outside!

Tazz: Haha! Undertaker better prepare to become just another legend killed!

Orton taunts as ‘Taker climbs up on the outside. Randy rolls under the bottom rope and begins to stomp on ‘Taker on the outside. He then grips him by the arm and attempts to throw him into the barricade-but Undertaker counters and throws Randy into it instead! The ref is up to about 7 when Undertaker throws Orton back in the ring, then rolls in and out to break the count. Undertaker runs along the outside and slams his elbow into Randy’s jaw. ‘Taker then climbs onto the apron to a huge pop

JR: Undertaker looking to go old school on young master Orton!

Undertaker leaps high in the air, but Randy gets himself out of the road, and Undertaker hits his leg hard on the apron before falling to the mat, clutching his knee. Randy climbs up onto the turnbuckle yelling at the crowd as ‘Taker, his knee seemingly hurt, slowly gets onto the apron at about 8. Orton seizes the chance and delivers a thunderous horizontal DDT to ‘Taker. One, Two-Undertaker grabbed the bottom rope! Orton is angry but he grabs Undertaker and pulls him to the centre of the ring, before starting to stomp on ‘Takers knee. He takes it over to the bottom turnbuckle, placing the knee above the bottom turnbuckle and delivering some quick Banzai drops to it, before putting all his weight on it for the full 4 count.

Tazz: See JR? Randy is picking apart the Undertakers knee, which is the sign of someone who is going to go places in this business!

Randy now flips Undertaker over and begins to work the opposite side, repeatedly driving knees into the back of the knee. He then drops an elbow down and begins to wrench it upwards. Undertaker is in pain but he manages to use his last ounce of strength to spin Randy off of the move. Both men clamber to their feet and Orton runs into a big clothesline from ‘Taker, followed by another. Undertaker, still limping, pulls Orton between his legs and raises his arm, preparing for the Last Ride. Randy though slams his forearm into the back of Undertaker’s injured leg, and then he goes behind him and hits a hard chop block. But Undertaker still manages to stay on his feet. Orton bounces off the ropes and dropkicks the Deadman straight in the knee, taking him down to the mat.

JR: And Randy goes straight back to working on the knee. I’ve gotta hand it to this young man Tazz, he was made from a champions mould

Orton once again attacks the knee, before putting Undertaker into a boston crab. ‘Taker stretches out towards the ropes, but he’s a hand away. Undertaker collapses on the mat and Randy demands the referee check him. He lifts up the hand.

1!

2!

No! Undertaker holds his hand up! ‘Taker uses all his energy to reach out and grab the bottom rope, forcing Randy to let the hold go. Orton is irate and starts screaming at the referee. Orton shoves off the referee and prepares to strike. He hits a hard inverted backbreaker to ‘Taker and prepares for the RKO.

JR: Not the RKO! Tazz, this could put Undertaker away!

Randy gets Undertakers head, but Undertaker pushes him off into the ropes and gets ready to chokeslam him. Undertaker lifts him up, but Randy counters and RKO’s ‘Taker! One, Two-No!! Undertaker grabbed the bottom rope. Randy is once again irate ad after a hard stomp to Undertakers knee, he goes onto the top rope. Undertaker slowly gets up and Orton dives off for a crossbody. Undertaker rolls through though, and gets to his feet with Randy still in his arms! He spins him around-Tombstone Piledriver! It’s over, 1 , 2, 3!

Undertaker wins by pinfall

Tazz: What! Randy had that won!

JR: You of all people should know Tazz, never count out the Undertaker!

The Undertaker painfully goes down onto one knee and does his signature taunt, Orton still laid out in the ring

---------------------------------

Backstage we see The Rock sitting his locker room warming up. Shelton Benjamin walks in

Rocky: Whoa jabroni, you don’t just waltz into The Rock’s locker room, acting like you’re The Great One himself! No what the hell do you want before I lay the smacketh down on your candy ass!

Benjamin: Whoa Rocky, don’t get your boulders in a bunch. I’m just letting you know, if you do come out on top tonight, you could be the one getting the taste of my money in the bank. Even if I am on the opposite show

Rocky: If you don’t leave The Rock’s locker room right now the only thing you’re gonna be tasting is ass after I kick it so hard you spit out your mouth. As for your Money in the Bank, there’s not gonna be a whole lot of it in your account after all the medical fees your gonna have to pay once I whoop your candy ass, if ya SMELLLLLLLLLLL what The Rock is cooking!

Shelton: See ya out there Rocky (taps briefcase)

Shelton leaves the room while The Rock mutters under his breath

-----------------------------------

Main Event
WWU Championship
The Rock VS Mr. Money in the Bank, Shelton Benjamin VS Bret Hart VS Shawn Michaels (c)

JR: It’s Main Event time! 3 legendary forces and one of the superstars of tomorrow all facing off at once for the greatest prize in my industry

Tazz: My money is on The Rock here, nothing is going to stop him now

JR: I don’t know Tazz, Shawn Michaels has overcome greater adversity before, and don’t forget, HBK beat The Rock in an Ironman match to win the WWU Championship way back in March at Rebellion

All of the four men lean in their respective corners until the bell rings. The Rock goes over to Shawn Michaels as Hart goes onto Benjamin and they punch them repeatedly into the bottom turnbuckle. Both men spin around and then hit each other, until Benjamin and Michaels come up behind each on respectively and hit simultaneous neckbreakers. HBK gets to his feet and is met with a hard thrust kick by Shelton which pushes him into the corner. Shelton runs from the other side of the ring and jumps in the air onto the top rope, but HBK gets out of the way. Benjamin stays perched though and moonsaults off, connecting with a big one to Michaels. One, Two-No! The Rock breaks it up. He pulls Benjamin off by the head and throws him into the turnbuckle, covering HBK himself. Kick out at one as Hart comes along and clothesline Rocky over the top rope.

Tazz: This action is too fast too call!

JR: I know what you mean Tazz, who’ll get the early advantage?

Shelton is up to his feet at about the same time as HBK, who delivers a big scoop slam to Benjamin and climbs to the top rope. He glances to the outside and sees Rocky and Hart trading blows. He shrugs and flies off the top rope, hitting both Hart and Rocky on his way down. Fans chant ‘Dub-ya Dub-ya you!’ as the three men are out on the floor. They’re all slowly getting to their feet as Shelton stands up on the far side of the ring nodding his head.

JR: Looks like Mr. Money in the Bank just got his pilots license!

Benjamin sprints from the far side and then springs off the mat, flipping over the top rope and crash-landing on his three opponents. One-by-one they get up, first with Benjamin, who starts to strip the Spanish announcers table, with Hart in his other hand. The Rock though comes up behind him and delivers a low blow, before tossing Shelton headfirst into the ring post. The Rock now turns his attention to Shawn Michaels, and begins to stomp on the champion, before throwing him into the ring and pulling out a steel chair

Tazz: That’s why they’re called FATAL 4-Ways Jim; this could destroy Michaels’ chances of retaining the championship!

The Rock climbs in the ring laughing swinging the chair like a baseball bat as he waits for HBK to get up. Suddenly, Shelton Benjamin flies from the top rope and clotheslines the chair right into The Rock’s face! Shelton gets a huge pop, but turns around and gets hit with a stiff kick to the gut by Bret. Hart now slowly begins to work over Shelton’s leg, twisting it and jerking it about. Bret puts him in a Spinning Toe Hold, but when he turns around Shawn Michaels floors him with a Sweet Chin Music! One, Two Thr-No! The Rock broke up the pin with a chair across HBK’s back. Rocky then delivers a big spinebuster to Benjamin as he rushes towards The Rock. Rocky then kicks Shelton’s arm and gets massive heat.

Tazz: Here it is JR the Peoples-No, actually, it’s The Rock’s Elbow!

The armband comes off and The Rock bounces off both sides of the ring, before hitting the People’s Elbow! But Bret Hart quickly goes over and shoves The Rock away, before putting Shelton Benjamin in the Sharpshooter! Benjamin tries to crawl away, but he’s stuck in the middle of the ring. Shelton is about to tap when Michaels comes across and elbows Hart in the side of the head. HBK turns around and The Rock comes running at him, only to have Shawn low bridge him over the top rope. Shelton too runs at Shawn, but is back dropped down onto The Rock. Hart now comes along and low blows HBK, before setting to work on his back. The Rock and Shelton Benjamin battle on the outside.

JR: It’s chaos in the ring and outside it!

Hart is working on Shawn’s back and then perches him up on the top rope. Benjamin & Rocky trade blows at the front of the stripped Spanish Announcers table. Hart attempts a superplex, but HBK slams him back down onto the mat before jumping down onto the apron and trying to springboard moonsault onto Rocky and Benjamin. The two move though, and Michaels crashes through the table!

Tazz: The champ went to the well one too many times; he could be out of this match for a while. Capitalise Rocky!

Benjamin is a little slower than The Rock getting up, and The Great One hits him with the championship belt which busts Mr. Money in the Bank open and sends him soaring out into the crowd. Hart was watching all this go on, until he comes up behind The Rock and delivers a tough back suplex on the floor, before throwing The Rock into the ring

JR: Now that’s another reason these matches are Fatal for the champion, Hart could pin Rocky or vice-versa, and Shawn Michaels would lose the championship!

Hart covers The Rock but only gets a two. Bret lifts him up and backs him into the corner, delivering chop after chop, until The Rock ducks under and hits a big neckbreaker. Rocky climbs onto the second rope and imitates the Hitman, before delivering his opponents signature second rope elbow! The Rock laughs as he squats down, getting ready for the Rock Bottom! He hooks Hart in, but the Hitman ducks under Rocky’s arm, and puts him in a Crippler Crossface! The Rock searches around for somewhere to get out, but he’s isolated. Inc by inch, Rocky slides towards the ropes, just grabbing the bottom one when he was on the verge of tapping out! Hart lets go of the hold and is pissed off, so he drags The Rock into the centre of the ring and tries to put him in a Sharpshooter. The Rock kicks him off though, and sends Hart sprawling before connecting with a Rock Bottom!!

Tazz: This is it! This is it!

One! Two! Thr-No!!!! Shawn Michaels broke up the pinfall! Rock and Hart lay on the mat, when Benjamin tries to springboard onto HBK, but get’s hit with Sweet Chin Music! Shawn slowly and painfully starts to tune up the band on Bret Hart

JR: No Tazz, I think THIS is it. Nobody kicks out of Sweet Chin Music!

Shawn sidesteps forward and bang! Hart gets his jaw rattled with a huge superkick! HBK is about to cover him when he is hit with a steel chair to the back by The Rock! Rocky sits there in wait and then hits Shawn Michaels with a Rock Bottom onto the steel chair!!

JR: Not like this, not like this!!

The Rock wins by pinfall
New WWU Champion: The Rock

Tazz: After 6 months as champion, HBK as been dethroned by the very man he beat to win the championship!

JR: Bah gawd what a night! We’ll see you tomorrow night for Monday Night Dynamite!

Not bad. However, not sure about JR being partisan in every match - not sure he'd be a cheerleader in every match?

Ok I'll review part 2 alone after reviewing part 1 so here goes:

BM: RVD/Y2J, that match thrilled me from the start to the end and made me realise I enjoy reading ladder matches as much as I do writing them. I praise you for the variety of moves you used with the ladder and you couldn't have chosen to better people for a ladder match and the end was amazing too with the Frog Splash through the tables. Just like the from splash the match was also 5*.
WM: Angle/Kane, more of a brawl than a match and you shouldn't be doing stuff like that on a PPV despite you trying to make the storyline so personal between the two. You could've had Kane injure Angle and then have Angle come out in one of the weekly shows later on in the month and have the two brawl then instead which imo would've been better.
BP: The Rock/Shelton, pretty funny stuff and you managed to make both men pretty in character without using too much dialogue.
WP: Y2J interview, only half in character if you get what I mean but still served it's purpose.
AC: Pretty good show and you seem to be really getting into booking and I could see you being a good booker eventually so keep up the good work.

WWU Monday Night Dynamite
Episode 33
September 10, 2008

-Opening video highlights last nights PPV. Then it switches to showing clips of some of the new superstars which have joined Monday Night Dynamite-

Pyro!

Pyro!

Pyro!

JR: Hello wrestling fans and welcome to the first Post-Draft edition of Monday Night Dynamite! Now let me hand it over to my new partner, Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler!

King: Thanks Jim! We sure do have a blockbuster show planned for you folks tonight! The United States Championship Tournament begins, many superstars new and old debut and in 2 weeks we’ll have the first ever WWU edition of Saturday Nights Main Event!

JR: That’s right; we’ve got some legendary figures such as Randy Savage, and some brand new faces like the young Kofi Kingston!

King: But to kick it all off, here’s our NEW WWU Champion, the greatest superstar to set foot inside a wrestling ring, The Rock!!

The Rock comes to the ring and is booed heavily

Rocky: Finally…The Rock has com-No The Rock isn’t even going to give you people the satisfaction of hearing that line. What The Rock has finally done has claimed the WWU Championship, a title The Rock rightfully deserves and is going to hold onto for a long…LONG time. After so long as being the champion nobody wanted, Shawn Michaels finally lost this title last night. Now The Rock has one thing to say to HBK, and that’s KNOW YOUR ROLE AND SHUT YOUR MOUTH! You can whinge and complain, but now little kid, you can tap dance right to the back of the line, because you’re not going to get a chance at this championship until I decide it’s time your candy ass needs to check into the smackdown hotel one more time!

‘Sexy Boy’ is heard throughout the arena, to a big pop, as Shawn Michaels comes down to the ring

HBK: Hold it right there Rocky! I think you’re the one who needs to know their role and shut their mouth! You come out here, after using a steel chair to beat me last night, and claim I don’t deserve my re-match? Last time I checked, I’ve beaten you more times than anyone else in this company! The Showstopper beat your candy ass so many times you just gave up!

Rock: So, that’s it? You think just because you say so you get another shot?

HBK: That’s exactly what I-

Rock: It doesn’t matter what you think! Because Shawn, you’re no longer champion, The Rock is! And the sooner people realise that the better! There’s nobody in this company in this company I haven’t beat, and The Rock means no-

Stone Cold’s music is heard and he comes down to the ring to a massive pop as well

Austin: Now I am sorry to interrupt this little tea party you boys are having, but I am getting sick of all this bullshit. Stone Cold has beaten both your asses more times than people have flipped Rocky here the bird. Hell, I think I’ll add another (gives Rock the finger to a big pop). Now it’s Stone Cold’s time to challenge for that belt, and that’s the bottom-

Rock: (High mocking voice) And that’s the bottom line because Stone Cold said so.

Rock: No way buddy, the bottom line says, The Rock is the champion, and you’ve only had one match here. Yet you think you can bring you’re big old chrome dome into this arena and claim to deserve a championship match? Why don’t you just go home and drink yourself into an early grave you bald headed bitch. Just like HB-Gay, you gotta know your role and-

HBK: Shut your mouth! Both of you! Compared to me, you two are just rookies fresh out of school. I’ve been in this business for more than 20 years, and I’ve beaten more people than Rocky has stupid catch-phrases. I got screwed last night, and I need my re-match. Stone Cold, you have been here one night, you better move to the back of the line, before you wake up in a hospital bed with a pair of false teeth!

Flair comes down onto the ramp

Flair: Whoa guys, there’s a lot of tension here, and the Nature Boy is here to sort it out. All 3 of you should know your roles, because I make the matches round here, not you guys. There’s only one way to settle this, Stone Cold VS Shawn Michaels tonight, and the winner faces The Rock for the WWU Championship at Saturday Nights Main Event! And that’s the bottom line, because the GM said so. WOO!

Big cheers all around the arena as we cut to commercial

United States Championship Tournament
Opening Round
Kurt Angle VS Kane

JR: These two men battled to a no contest last night at Retribution, who will continue on with a chance to become the first ever WWU United States Champion?

Angle and Kane slowly circle each other in the ring before locking up, Kane tossing Angle into the corner and repeatedly striking him in the gut and jaw. The referee makes Kane get off and Kurt goes on the offensive with a single leg takedown, before trying to get Kane in an Ankle Lock early on. The Big Red Machine kicks him off and then connects with a Sidewalk Slam, which only gets him a 2 count. Kane gets to his feet and hits a big leg drop on Angle, before climbing up onto the top rope. He flies off of his trademark clothesline, but Angle ducks under and delivers a big German suplex!

JR: What an incredible counter! But Kurt keep the Big Red Machine on the back foot?

Angle waits for Kane to get up again, before delivering another German, followed by a second, but Kane blocks the third with an elbow to the temple. Kurt runs at Kane but is hit with a big boot. Kane now begins to work over Angle’s arm. As we go to commercial, Kurt is being scoop slammed.

--|Commercial Break|--

We come back and Kane has Kurt in a Fujiwara armbar. The crowd wills Angle to get to his feet, but Kane places an elbow to the temple of Kurt followed by a stiff clothesline. Kane now climbs up to the top rope slowly. Angle though manages to get to his feet and shake the rope, making Kane fall down onto the top turnbuckle!

King: I don’t think we’ll be seeing any Little Red Machines for awhile after that JR!

Angle slowly climbs onto the top rope and hooks Kane in a front facelock. He hoists Kane up and with all his strength manages to hit a superplex to the big man! Kane hits the mat hard and Kurt drops the straps, before locking in the Ankle Lock! Kane is looking for a way out, but the ropes are far away. Kane uses all his remaining strength to push Kurt off, before running at him. Kurt ducks though and hits the Angle Slam! 1, 2, 3!

Kurt Angle wins by pinfall
Advancing to the Semi-Finals: Kurt Angle

JR: He’s done it! The Olympic Gold Medallist has pinned Kane!

As Angle celebrates his win, Kane is going berserk. He starts throwing the referee around and ripping off turnbuckle covers. Security come and try to control him, but he just big boots and uppercuts them, before delivering a Double Chokeslam to two of the guards. He laughs and does his fire before he walks down the ramp angrily

King: Angle may have won, but Kane is pissed off!

--|Commercial Break|--

JR: And we’re right back into the action again folks, with the legendary Randy Savage taking on the hot-shot newcomer CM Punk!

King: OH YEAHHH!

Randy Savage VS CM Punk

Match-up starts with a big pop for both guys. Lock-up before Savage shoves Punk off and hits a big running knee to his gut. Randy begins to pull CM up by the hair, but gets hit with some forearm shots which send him back into the turnbuckle. Punk runs and hits him with the knee to the face/clothesline combo! CM now stands on the apron for his trademark springboard clothesline, but Randy catches him in the air!

JR: There’s that legendary strength of the Macho Man!

Savage tosses CM Punk over in a powerslam for a 2 count. Savage puts Punk in a rear naked choke when we hear Kane’s music and the Big Red Machine comes to the ring angrily.

King: This could add a lot of spice to this match-up! Kane is probably still going off after his last match!

Savage releases the hold as Kane comes to the ring and comes onto the apron. Savage taunts him daring him to come into the ring. Kane steps over the ropes and Randy begins to tee off on him, till he’s hit with a big uppercut

Randy Savage wins by DQ

Kane continues the assault on the Macho Man. CM Punk gets up and tries to help out, but Kane big boots him straight through the ropes. He grabs Savage around the throat before hoisting him up and chokeslamming him down to the mat

JR: What the hell! What did Savage, or Punk for that matter, do to deserve this!

King: Absolutely nothing. But that doesn’t matter, because the Big Red Machine does what he wants when he wants. And who’s gonna stop him?

We come back to see The Rock sitting on a lounge in his locker room watching Dynamite. Coach walks in

Coach: Uhh, champ…

Rock: Excuse me?

Coach: I mean excuse me Rock.

Rock: Now that’s matter. I’m here enjoying MY show, and everyone in this company has seemed to have forgotten their roles and forgotten I am the champion

Coach: Anyway Rock, after tonight, you will either have to face Shawn Michaels, a man who you were engaged in a bloody feud with earlier in the year, or your long-time nemesis Stone Cold Steve Austin. Who do you think would be a tougher opponent?

Rock: What do you think Coach?

Coach: Well I-

Rock: It doesn’t matter what you think! The only man that matters is The Rock, not some stroodle loving Barry Manilow fan! It doesn’t matter who wins tonight, I’ll beat them just like all the time I have before! Now get the hell out of my locker room before I kick you out!

United States Championship Tournament
Opening Round
Mr. Kennedy VS Kofi Kingston

JR: Strong words from the champion there King

King: Shh JR! We are about to witness the brightest young stars to set foot in this company. None other than Mrrrrrrrrrr Kennedy! Kennedy! So good you have to say it twice JR!

JR: Well I’d rather he let his actions speak for him, like the young Jamaican Kofi Kingston!

King: Pease, he doesn’t stand a chance JR!

Kennedy tries to start the match with a right hand, but Kofi ducks and hits some forearms of his own. Kingston throws Kennedy to the ropes, leapfrogs over his head twice, but then Kennedy connects with a big dropkick to the gut. He covers for 2. Kofi is getting up to his feet and Kennedy hits him hard in the gut followed up with a DDT. MR. Kennedy pulls Kofi up by the dreadlocks, and has him in position for a Mic Check. Kofi hits some elbows to the head making Kennedy release him, then jumps up and hits a big heel kick to Mr. Kennedy. Kofi gets a huge pop

JR: Well Kofi sure does have the support of the fans!

King: Like that really matters

JR: We’ll come back to this match-up after the break!

--|Commercial Break|--

We come back and Kennedy has Kingston in a torture rack. Kingston is in pain, but manages to deal some elbows to the head of Kennedy and get onto the mat, before delivering a big neckbreaker. Kofi gets up to his feet and does the BOOM BOOM, but Kennedy rolls out of the way of the leg drop! Kingston gets up clutching his knee, and Kennedy charges forward, delivering a dropkick to his knee. Kennedy then goes to the other side of the ring and sprints at Kofi, delivering a boot to the side of his head, but only collecting a 2 count. Kennedy is angry and works over the knee of Kofi for the next couple of minutes, staying in complete control.

King: How about these actions JR? Just like his shirt says, talk loud, hit harder!

Kofi gets to the rope while Kennedy has a kind of leg lock locked in. And Mr. Kennedy decides it’s time to finish it and he puts Kofi on his shoulders for the Green Bay Plunge. Kingston manages to flip Kennedy off though, and then comes off the top rope with a big crossbody! Both men bounce back up and Kofi goes for the Trouble in Paradise, but Kennedy ducks!! Kofi slowly gets to his feet and then is floored with a Mic Check!

Mr. Kennedy wins by pinfall
Advancing to the Semi-Finals: Mr. Kennedy

Kennedy grabs a microphone

Kennedy: For all you little boys and girls in the crowd who frankly I could care less about, and the old forgotten losers who’s dreams were crushed when they realised they didn’t have the chiselled physique and charisma to become as great as me, your winner, MRRRRRRRRRRR KENNNEDY…KENNEDY!

Kennedy: Theatrics aside, I am truly the future of this company. Kofi Kingston is nothing. Compared to Mr. Kennedy, that’s just unfair. Comparing anyone to Mr. Kennedy is like comparing Hulk Hogan to Gillberg. There’s no comparison to be made

Kennedy: And the same can be said for my next victim, Kurt Angle. You think your so great because you’re an Olympic Gold Medallist, the King of the Ring, but there’s one thing you’ll never be-and that is the United States Champion, because I am going to win that belt and carry it all the way to the bank!

King: Strong words, but we know Kennedy…Kennedy! Can back them up!

No. 1 Contendership for the Intercontinental Championship
AJ Styles VS Rey Mysterio

JR: Who will challenge RVD for the Intercontinental Championship next week here on Dynamite?

King: I don’t know but neither of these guys deserves it. They do pretty flips, but hey, that’s not enough to take down Rob Van Dam!

Rey enters the ring and AJ leapfrogs over his head and gets him in a sunset flip, looking for the quick victory, but Rey rolls out of it. He swings for a kick to AJ’s head, but Styles ducks and hooks his legs around Rey’s head, delivering a big hurracanrana. Styles gets up by runs into a dropkick from Rey, followed by another. Rey goes for a forearm, but AJ ducks under and hits a Stylin’ DDT for a 2 count! AJ gets up as does Rey, who jumps up and gives Styles a big tornado DDT! The crowd is erupting as Rey goes up to the top rope. He flies off for a crossbody, but Styles avoids it

JR: This action is too fast to call!

AJ puts Rey in an armbar, but Mysterio fights out with knees to the head. Rey gets up to his feet and the two trade fists, until Mysterio ducks one and slides between AJ’s legs, attempting a roll-up. Styles gets out quickly though, only to receive a drop toe hold onto the second rope! Rey dial’s up for the 619- but AJ gets out of the way and gives Rey a Pele on the apron, which sends him down to the floor! AJ gets up and then delivers a Shooting Styles Press, taking himself and Rey down to the floor!

King: Both men are out on the floor! Hey look JR! Here comes RVD!

Van Dam comes from the back and throws his belt in the ring past the referee, who turns his back to grab it. Van Dam kicks both Styles and Mysterio in the nuts before the ref turns around and runs down to the back, neither man being able to answer the 10 count

Double Countout

King: Hahaha, brilliant move by RVD! If nobody wins, nobody gets an opportunity!

--|Commercial Break|--

Backstage we see Coach chasing after Rob Van Dam in the back

Coach: Champ, hey champ

RVD stops and turns around, letting Coach catch up

RVD: What do you want man?

Coach: RVD, care to explain your actions just moments ago?

RVD: Explain? I don’t think there’s an explanation needed dude. Mr. Monday Night heard about that match, and man I was confused. AJ Styles? Rey Mysterio? They couldn’t lace up my boots! I am the Intercontinental Champion, and have been for the last 9 months! I’m the longest reigning champion of any kind here! I-

RVD is cut off by Ric Flair

Flair: WOO! So you’re the longest reigning champion, and you think by doing a run-in in that match-up you’d get out of defending you’re belt? Well the 16 TIME CHAMPION has a different plan. The Nature Boy thinks next week, you can defend your championship against AJ Styles

Crowd pops

Flair:…AND REY MYSTERIO!

Huge pop. RVD is irate and storms out of sight

JR: Whoa! What a huge match-up! A Triple Threat match for the Intercontinental Championship next week!

King: What! Flair put RVD at a disadvantage on purpose!

Non-title
LAX VS World Tag Team Champions, The Wild Samoans

JR: Can the new team of Homicide and Hernandez take down the tag champions?

King: The Wild Samoans have dominated the tag scene here since their inception; no way could some rookie team brand new to the WWU topple them!

Umaga starts off in the ring with Hernandez. Hernandez unloads on Umaga with some forearms and right hands. The champion is a little dazed and Hernandez springs off the ropes, but is hit with a big clothesline from Umaga. He then gets dragged to the corner and Umaga goes for the Samoan Bulldozer. Hernandez moves out of the way though and Umaga stays perched in the corner, before Hernandez delivers a running splash followed by a Crackerjack!

JR: They don’t look like rookies anymore King!

Umaga tags in Afa the same time Hernandez tags Homicide. Homicide climbs to the top rope and tries to crossbody Afa-who catches him and delivers a big black hole slam! Afa covers but only gets a 2. He begins to stomp on the back of Homicide’s head, before dragging him by the skull to his corner and tagging in Umaga. Afa gives Homicide a Samoan Drop, before Umaga comes off the second rope with a headbutt to the ribs. Umaga covers but only gets a two. The Samoan Bulldozer is irate and pulls up Homicide by the head for the Samoan Spike, but Homicide ducks under and tags Hernandez to a big pop. Hernandez gets the hot tag and begins to clear house on both Umaga and Afa. Hernandez gets Afa up for a Border Toss, but Umaga comes in with a thrust kick to the throat of Hernandez!

King: Haha, they look like rookies now! The champions are unstoppable!

Umaga climbs up to the top rope and does a little crazy taunt thing, before flying off for a big splash! One, Two-No! Hernandez kicked out! Umaa is irate again and tags in Afa. Afa hits a big belly-to-belly suplex to Hernandez, who is getting to his feet near Umaga. Afa charges but Hernandez ducks and Afa runs straight into his partner! Afa is worried and turns around only to have Hernandez hit him with the Border Toss! Hernandez tags in Homicide who flies off the top rope with a Frog Splash for the surprise victory!

LAX wins by pinfall

JR: They did it! The Latin American XChange pulls off the surprise victory thanks to some mis-communication from the Wild Samoans!

Shawn Michaels is backstage with Coach

Coach: Shawn, a little later tonight, you’re going to be facing off with Stone Cold for a chance at The Rock come Satur-

HBK: Hold it right there Coach! I shouldn’t even need to be in this match. I deserve a re-match and that pompous little ass knows it! He cheated last night to win, and the Heartbreak Kid is going to steal the show once again! So Stone Cold, get ready to have your ass whooped like never before!!

HBK shoves Coach and storms off angrily, getting ready for his match

Vader VS Jeff Hardy

JR: We’ve seen Jeff Hardy compete in tag team wrestling before, how will he fare against Vader?

King: Not well, Vader is one of the biggest and baddest superstars of all time!

Hardy immeadiately tries to take down Vader, but is stopped dead in his tracks with a big clothesline. Vader is getting booed as he holds Hardy up by the hair parading him for the crowd. Jeff goes for a kick to the gut, but Vader catches it. Jeff though spins round and hits the big man with a mule kick which sends him leaning on the ropes. Jeff runs towards him but gets back dropped high, only to land on the apron. Hardy runs up to the top rope and when Vader turns around dives off-only to be caught in a big bearhug! Vader shakes him like a rag doll for a while, until Jeff fires back with some elbows to the head. Hardy gets back into a standing position and tries to gives Vader a Twist of Fate, but Vader grabs him and hoists him onto his shoulder, hitting a big running powerslam!! Jeff writhes in pain as he is lifting up and then planted with the Vaderbomb!

King: Nobody kicks out of that one JR

Vader wins by pinfall

JR: If Vader keeps up this kind of dominance, we could see the future United States Champion!

JR: It’s Main Event time folks!

King: And a match with big repercussions! Who will challenge The Rock at Saturday Nights Main Event? Stone Cold or HBK?

Main Event
Winner faces The Rock for the WWU Championship at Saturday Nights Main Event
Shawn Michaels VS Stone Cold Steve Austin

The two men shake hands before they begin. They circle the ring and prepare to lock-up, but Austin just floors HBK with a right hand, before bouncing off the ropes and hitting a forearm to the face. Stone Cold throws HBK over to the corner and starts stomping a mudhole. He lifts up Michaels for a suplex, but HBK hits some fists to the gut and gives Steve a big scoop slam. HBK covers for a 2 before putting Stone Cold in a side headlock. Austin gets to his feet before dealing some punches to the gut of Michaels, then hitting him with a big clothesline. Stone Cold waits for Michaels to get up before grabbing him by the head and attempting to throw him over the rope. Austin thinks he has but Michaels holds on and skins the cat!

JR: That’s some old school Shawn Michaels right there!

Steve notices and runs at Michaels, only to be back dropped all the way to the floor! As he gets up HBK flies over the top rope and hits a big plancha on the Rattlesnake to a huge crowd reaction. The two men roll around on the floor until they get up at about 4. Austin tries to throw Michaels into the barricade, but HBK stops himself just before it. He spins around and Stone Cold gives him a HUGE clothesline which makes him Shawn flies into the crowd

JR: My God! What a slobber knocker of a clothesline!!

The referee is at 8 and Stone Cold runs in and out of the ring, before hooking Michaels in a front facelock and lifting him up for a suplex back onto the floor. HBK spins around though and lands on his feet, giving Austin a big dropkick when he turns around. HBK throws Stone Cold into the ring and then follows him, getting a 1 count. Shawn waits for Austin to get up and then gives him a scoop slam, before flying from the top rope and giving Steve the big elbow! HBK jumps up and starts to tune up the band!

King: No! If this connects, The Rock might be getting to hear the band tune up at Saturday Nights Main Event!

JR: You sound a little scared King!

Shawn sidesteps and goes for it, but Austin ducks! Stunner-No! HBK shoves him off! HBK goes for a clothesline but Stone Cold ducks, coming from the opposite side of the rig and catching Shawn with a Lou Thesz press, followed by repeated punches to the skull. Stone Cold covers but only gets a two count. Austin stomps hard on Shawn’s abdomen before whipping him to the corner. He starts to hit some hard body shots, followed by a stiff right hand that twists Michaels’ jaw around, making the referee make Austin back away. Steve attempts to go back over but like a bullet Shawn connects with the Sweet Chin Music!!! 1, 2, 3!

Shawn Michaels wins by pinfall

King: No!!

JR: There it is! There it is! Rock V Michaels IV! What a match-up!

HBK celebrates in the ring as The Rock walks out onto the ramp shaking his head. He is pissed off and HBK just stands in the ring smiling, before making the hand motion for ‘Just Bring itâ€
