Yeah it was just a Raw match right?

Yep. They pull the plug spontaneously out of the blue the night Austin walks out. Vince just shows up on Raw unannounced to shit on Austin walking out and when Flair tries to kick him out of his “show” Vince basically says no and they book a random match for control of both shows. It was so abrupt and I’d love to get a podcast explaining why Austin was the catalyst to ending the original brand split and being replaced by Stephanie and Eric a month later after Vince runs both.
