WARNING!
Contains possible spoiler for Wrestlemania.

For a few minutes yesterday, WWEShop.com featured a new Undertaker 17-0 t-shirt with a broken heart in reference to Shawn Michaels on it. The t-shirt was available for pre-order.

The shirt has since been pulled from the site. This could be an indication that the plan is to have Undertaker win his match at WrestleMania. That seems likely as I don't expect the streak to ever end.

JJ: I doubt that Michaels will win at Wrestlemania. It should be a good match, but I agree with the writer, I don't see them ever ending the streak. Oh and the way Vince has been acting lately about spoilers getting leaked, I'm pretty sure someone just got fired :)

Great job WWE. Do the people who work for the website know what is going on in the wrestling world at all?

They actually do this quite a lot, surprisingly. Stupid move on their part. And before anyone says it doesn't mean anything, it obviously does. They wouldn't create a fucking shirt that says that, if he's going to lose.

THIS JUST IN!

Undertaker t-shirt noting his 17-0 WrestleMania record is a hoax
By Jason Powell Apr 1, 2009 - 02:04 PM
Regarding the possible WrestleMania spoiler that was posted on the site earlier today, it has reportedly been revealed that the Undertaker t-shirt that featured a 17-0 WrestleMania record was a hoax. Multiple readers passed along the image, but it has been revealed as not something that was posted on the WWE Shop website.

^ Exactly, I was just thinking that. Either way I see HBK losing.

It's not that surprising, they would have shirts made for Undertaker willing and going 17-0 and maybe a Streak Killer shirt for HBK made up, until the decision is final on who's going to win. Happens all the time, and this has just accidentally been posted on the WWEShop site. No biggie.

Would they do a shirt that specific though? I mean having a Shawn Michaels heart on it and 17-0 would give the shirt a very short shelf life

Not as bad as when the WWE released a magazine featuring Randy Savge as the new world champion the day before he won the title at Wrestlemania 4. And that was in the days when they still tried to make fans believe it was real.

Well very often times with sports events (ie- Super Bowl, World Series National Championship etc.) they have a t-shirt made up for both sides of the equation, I saw a story on Outside the lines a while back. They then shup the losers merchendise to some country in Africa or something. This could be a similar situation. Either way It was either a bone-headed move or a big joke.

Surprisingly, a lot of people thought that the Undertaker 17-0 logo shirt design was legit even though I clearly posted the hoax screenshot here @ Kupy Wrestling Universe and the wallpaper @ Kupy Wrestling Wallpapers on this date: APRIL 1, 2009. It was a blatant April Fools’ joke. The story quickly circulated the net and various wrestling news sites reported my hoax/cover story. Here are some of the ones I found:

Honestly, I was a bit flattered by the news that came out. I didn’t expect all of these to happen. All I ever wanted was to treat my visitors to an old school April Fools’ joke. However, the controversy reached Jim Ross (YES, the best wrestling commentator EVER) and he took exception to this AF joke. He wasn’t happy about it at all. From hereon, my mood went downhill and somehow, felt bad about the whole thing. WWE just made an April Fools’ joke regarding Vickie Guerrero being pregnant..so why can’t an avid WWE fanm, like me, do one..right? Was it a bad joke? IMHO, it wasn’t but hey, maybe I’m totally wrong about this. Again, I just wanted to make an April Fools’ joke for my visitors.

To Mr. Ross, I’m sorry if I offended you or WWE as a whole. I’m just your average WWE fan who loves your product and greatly appreciates everything you have given us WWE/wrestling fans.

Hope I can still attend your upcoming WWE SmackDown! live tour here in July :p
