I think you're giving everyone here too much credit in terms of how good they are at Minecraft.

Yeah but if everyone dies like a 1000 times and never gain anything they're not going to want to play anymore.

You have to play smart. You can easily survive a long time without issues. And if you keep your stuff in chests, you don't lose anything. I mean if it is that big of an issue for people, Soli can always make it so you don't lose your weapons or armor. So if you die, you spawn back with that and lose everything else you were holding.

We don't want to have it be so easy, everyone gets over powered in a matter of days. We want the server to last. What fun is a game that you can breeze through?

What fun is a game you can't progress in? Besides in the two months the TWF server was up only like three of us had diamond gear.

I still dont understand why having diamonds being more rare makes the game too difficult.

Honestly Iron is a very under-rated resource. While not as strong as diamond, once you have Iron armour and tools you are fairly secure.

Plus if you trap a bunch of Squidward freaks, then trap them in an area with doors, you can make them pork and make Iron Golems appear so you can burn them for their Iron.

Yeah iron will not be changed at all. You only NEED two diamonds realistically (for the enchantment table). We may also have an option to sell items I think so if you need something, just ask around. It isn't going to be hard at all. Just making it take slightly longer to get resources. Mobs will also be dropping amazing loot so you can even get diamond items that way.
