Backstory: It picks off at June 30th one night after the night of champions pay per view, the current month in WWE was an eventful one to say the least with The Undertaker returning back to Smackdown, the ECW-Smackdown Talent exchange being ended by ECW GM Teddy Long and Raw being as exiting as ever. However things are going to change on tonights RAW as the WWE draft 2008 will be taking place as the rosters will be shaken up, WWE will never be the same again.

ECW title tournament: GM Teddy Long has announced that on this upcoming ECW on there will be four matches between 8 superstars featuring 6 of the 8 draftee’s with the final four guys competing in a fatal four way match for the newly vacant title on next weeks show. The eight guys include loudmouth Kennedy, The obnoxious Italian Santino, The beast Mark Henry, The highflying Matt Hardy, The technical Brit William Regal, the fighting Irishman Finlay, The golden standard Shelton Benjamin and ECW upstart Evan Bourne.

Battle of the Loudmouths, Ken Kennedy VS Santino Marella:
In this week’s main event two of the newest ECW superstars pit off against each other, both men are as known for their gift of the gab for their wrestling styles. Who will come off on top in this match, who will be guaranteed a place in next weeks ECW title match? Only time will tell.

Artistic differences, Mark Henry VS Matt Hardy:
The next ECW title qualifying match sees two of the most mismatched athlete’s battling in the squared circle. Will strength prevail over an unorthodox style or vice versa?

Britannia Rules, Finlay with Hornswoggle VS William Regal:
In another title qualifier two of the most seasoned superstars in the business square off in what promises to be must see match. Will Finlay’s pint sized son help his old father out or will the sneaky Englishman pull out some of his old dirty tricks to get the win?

Setting the standard, Shelton Benjamin VS Evan Bourne:
This weeks opening match is yet another ECW title qualifier featuring one of ECW’s most impressive athletes “The Golden Standard” Shelton Benjamin taking on one of ECW’s exiting rising stars Evan Bourne. Will Bourne get his biggest win in his short ECW career or will Shelton pull off another win by all means necessary?

Santino’s Casa goes main stream! Featuring Tommy Dreamer:
The Italian’s internet phenomenon comes to the big screen and where better to start it off than in the land of the extreme with one of ECW’s legendary superstar’s as his first guest. Santino’s interviewing technique is a bit aggressive to say the least, and will Dreamer crack under the pressure?
