WWE Writter suspended for 60 days

It has been confirmed that head SmackDown writer Michael Hayes has been suspended for 60 days.

Michael Hayes has been absent since Wrestlemania, from backstage WWE. Hayes is the head writer for Smackdown. Wrestlers say Hayes is serving a 60-day suspension concerning his behavior towards a wrestler during Wrestlemania weekend. However, WWE is calling it a "vacation".

The belief backstage is that Michael Hayes got sent home for supposedly choking Carlito with wrist tape. It was meant to be a rib on Carlito, but Carlito took it as a threat to his Wrestlemania spot and threatened to show up on TNA Impact! No one knows for sure who put Hayes up to it, but the wrist tape looked like it had part of an "X" in black marker on it.

That reports looks like complete BS. While he could indeed be suspended, the last paragraph seems completey made up.

Jason Powell is reporting that Smackdown head writer Michael Hayes has been suspended by WWE for 60-days for using a derogatory term while speaking with Mark Henry. According to the source, Henry took offense and reported it to WWE officials.

So wait. Apparently CM Punk put Michael Hayes up to a prank, and Hayes got suspended?

OK this is bull. a) Carlito would have been happy to be on WM, he wouldn't have threatened to show up on iMPACT!

b) The CM Punk part just seems like a huge load of something smelly. There looked like there was an x on the tape? Someone doesn't like Punk lol

c) I don't think that WWE would suspend their best writer, and a long term member. Just doesn't seem likely.

I'm pretty sure that if CM Punk and Michael Hayes had some type of plan and Hayes tried to choke out Carlito with wrist tape then he'd be fired, not suspended. I don't think VKM would want his writers running around trying to choke out his wrestlers.

Anyway the Henry thing kind of makes sense. I could see that, 60 days seems like a lot though. Who knows though, Internet reports like these are usually wrong.

Plus, I don't think Vince would want racism, so 60 days sounds about right.
