WWE Worlds Collide preview, April 14, 2019:
NXT Alumni battle NXT Superstars

NXT’s past meets its present as former black-and-gold brand legends like Tyler Breeze, Harper, SAnitY and Aiden English take on the top Superstars from NXT’s current roster in brand-versus-brand dream matches.

Roderick Strong will represent not only NXT, but also The Undisputed ERA when he battles Raw’s Tyler Breeze this Sunday on WWE Network.

During his time in NXT, Breeze enjoyed plenty of milestone moments, including main-eventing the second TakeOver in history. Yet, Prince Pretty’s tenure as an NXT roster member never overlapped with Undisputed ERA’s reign of terror, meaning that until now, NXT fans had no way of knowing who’d prevail in this matchup between two of the most technically gifted grapplers of the modern era.

That all changes this Sunday. See if Breeze can evade Strong’s backbreaking expertise when Worlds Collide streams on the award-winning WWE Network at 8/7 C.

Returning Harper takes on “Rare Breed” Dominik Dijakovic

Worlds Collide might as well be renamed “Monsters Collide” when former Intercontinental Champion Harper returns to singles action to face fellow high-flying, hard-hitting big man Dominik Dijakovic.

Harper is approaching the match as though it’s one of the biggest of his career, and for good reason. Prior to last Sunday’s Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, Harper hadn’t wrestled on WWE Networkin many months due to a severe wrist injury. Now that he’s back and ready for action, the burly brawler is dead-set on showing the WWE Universe that he hasn’t missed a step. Remember, this is a man who stood toe-to-toe with Brock Lesnar, so he knows what it’s like to perform under high-pressure situations.

Of course, Dijakovic isn’t going to make things easy for him. Since his debut, The Rare Breed has more than lived up to his moniker, regularly captivating NXT fans with his unfathomable combination of strength and speed. Although Dijakovic’s diverse game plan won’t intimidate his battle-hardened opponent, it might be enough to turn Harper’s first WWE Network match in months into a painful experience. Either way, you can expect an absolute donnybrook this Sunday.

SAnitY and Undisputed ERA reignite war

There’s no shortage of bad blood between SAnitY and Undisputed ERA. Their gang rivalry in late 2017 resulted in a wild series of matches that ranged from the first WarGames Match in nearly 20 years, to Undisputed ERA defeating SAnitY for the NXT Tag Team Titles, to SAnitY scoring redemption in a brutal Six-Man Tornado Tag Team Match that ranks among the unruliest fights in black-and-gold brand history.

The battle lines will be drawn again this Sunday when Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly’s striking and submission expertise goes against Alexander Wolfe & Killian Dain’s dangerous brand of chaos. Which crew will get the last laugh when Worlds Collide?

Does Kassius Ohno have a knockout waiting with Aiden English’s name on it?

205 Live announcer Aiden English spends much of his time these days at the commentary desk, educating onlookers with his insightful observations about WWE’s Cruiserweights. Yet, the multitalented Superstar will prepare to don the tights this Sunday when he steps in the ring against NXT UK’s Kassius Ohno.

Can English, a former NXT Tag Team Champion, get the best of The Knockout Artist? Or will Ohno, who has been tearing up the NXT UK ranks since making himself at home across the Atlantic, add another Superstar to the long list of competitors who have been knocked out cold by his Rolling Elbow? Find out when Worlds Collide streams this Sunday at 8/7 C, only on the award-winning WWE Network.
Tyler Breeze takes on Roddy Strong? Return of Harper? And SAnitY warring with UE again? :mark:

WWE Worlds Collide preview, April 17, 2019: Cruiserweights from 205 Live, NXT and NXT UK collide
WWE’s Cruiserweight division will be in the spotlight when the top Superstars weighing 205 pounds or less face off in inter-brand matches, including Akira Tozawa vs. Jordan Devlin, Tyler Bate vs. The Brian Kendrick and much more.

205 Live’s Akira Tozawa tangles with NXT UK’s Jordan Devlin
Word to the wise: Don’t blink this when Akira Tozawa and Jordan Devlin square off on Worlds Collide. Tozawa and Devlin may represent different brands — The Stamina Monster calls 205 Live home, whereas The Irish Ace is a proud member of the NXT UK roster — but they’re both speed demons who embody the fast-paced action of WWE’s Cruiserweight division and dare others to keep up. Which Superstar will leave the other in his dust? Find out when WWE Worlds Collide streams tonight, immediately after NXT.

Will The Brian Kendrick’s experience give him the edge against Tyler Bate?
Tyler Bate is nothing short of a sports-entertainment prodigy, but what will happen when NXT UK’s wunderkind finds himself in the ring with steely veteran The Brian Kendrick?

It’s a fair question considering the immense experience gap that exists between the two. For example, by the time Kendrick began training for the ring under WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels in 1999, Bate was celebrating his second birthday. And as he’s repeatedly shown since returning to WWE in 2016, Kendrick is a crafty competitor; there are few tricks of the game that he hasn’t employed en route to becoming one of WWE’s premier Cruiserweights.

None of that means that Bate should be counted out, of course. Textbook Tyler has demonstrated a preternatural grappling ability since day one. Combining cutting-edge moves with an exquisite and traditional English technique, Bate is poised beyond his years. Regardless of who wins, this human game of chess will be fascinating to watch play out.

Mark Andrews returns to team with Flash Morgan Webster against Ariya Daivari & Mike Kanellis
When the WWE Universe last saw Mark Andrews, he was being stretchered out of the ring after going down with a leg injury last month on NXT UK. Thankfully, Andrews is now back at full health and ready to make a statement at Worlds Collide when he teams with Flash Morgan Webster to take on the bold alliance of Ariya Daivari & Mike Kanellis. Andrews & Webster are undoubtedly one of NXT UK’s most exciting pairings, but can they find success against competition as ruthless and opportunistic as Daivari & Kanellis?

Ligero, Gran Metalik and Albert Hardie Jr. to take to the skies
An air traffic controller might need to be called into action when Ligero, Gran Metalik and the debuting Albert Hardie Jr. meet in a Triple Threat Match on WWE Network.

All three Superstars rank among sports-entertainment’s biggest risktakers and most fearless highflyers. Dubbed “The King of the Ropes,” Gran Metalik seems to relish every chance he gets to wow the WWE Universe with his awe-inspiring aerial offense. Similarly, Ligero has no reservations about soaring through the air to take down opponents, as NXT UK Superstars know all too well.

The wild card in this match might just be Hardie. While Gran Metalik and Ligero are known entities to the WWE Universe, Hardie is looking to make a lasting first impression in his WWE Network debut. Expect the acclaimed high-flyer to go all out when Worlds Collide streams tonight at 9/8 C, exclusively on the award-winning WWE Network.
