WWE is a 60+ year old company, with the greatest wrestling promoter ever still at the helm. To think anyone will be competition to a company that is pro wrestling is foolish. Fact is, you hear wrestling you think WWE. 500-1000 fans in a local indy show is not going to compete with a company that still draws in thousands of fans to their shows. Fact is, no one is probably ever going to knock WWE of its perch. Especially if the McMahons are still involved.

Yeah, but no one thought WCW would ever compete with WWE, so it has been proven than if you have the backing and the talent it can be done. Fact is WWE are living off their past, no disrespect to Vince, but I think he is getting past it, and I think that company needs major changes.

What was the end result of that? WWE is still tippy top dog and WCW is dead.

WWE took out the AWA and NWA at their apex of TV viewers and house show attendance. They outdraw Japanese organizations when they tour Japan, they also outdraw Lucha Libre promotions when they travel south of the border. If Verne Gagne, Jim Crockette, Harley Race and Bill Watts couldn't compete with Vince McMahon and the WWF, who actually thinks some startup group is going to.

First off, you need a shit load of money, TV contacts. And stars are hard to come by. Look at TNA's predicament, they have monoploy of the old stars of the 90s and they can't do shit with them, they have Eric Bischoff and they were doing worse then they did in 06.

Also, WWE is in such a rosy space in terms of the business they are in, the day when Vince actually steps down, and Triple h and Stephanie take the reigns. The WWE will continue to be the big dog in Pro-Wrestling.

Hate it or love it, the WWE is the NFL of Pro-Wrestling, no matter who is in charge, they will still be numero uno.

Yes, but WCW still did it thats the point. And their downfall was more down to themselves than what WWE did.

You can never say never in wrestling, how do you know that one day a very rich man, like Vince is now won't start up a promotion of his own, and that if that guy or woman has people around him who know how to promote and book wrestling, than they couldn't be a threat.

WWE ratings have been down for years, they now struggle to sell out major PPV events, and there is not much sign of that changing soon. So yes they maybe in a comfort zone, because there is no danger of going out of biz, or being over taken by any other league, but trust me they are no happy with the way things are going. They are living off their past, without a doubt.
