I would assume that if there is any truth to this at all it must be because of saftey concerns. And I can understand that, after MITB this year was just really dangerous spot after another. Ladder matches seem to be kinda out of control Constantly trying to top the last one with crazier spots. Ladder matches don't need to be so crazy to be fun.

I hate this idea... but why are we all getting so worked up? We only see the ladders in a MITB or a TLC/Ladder match which are rare occasions so it's not like we are missing anything that makes a massive impact on how we watch WWE.

It's because people don't have attention spans any longer than a few seconds, so anything with any substance or build up is instantly lost.

Man. Such great memories. That was my favorite era in the E. Post attitude era - pre PG. Who can pull of matches like that anymore in the E though?

Carlito lost credibility because of Hornswoggle. The guy put on some good dark matches with Danielson though.

It could be a random team that actually sticks like The Pitbulls(WWE Pitbulls not to be confused with ECW's). Kid Kash and Jamie Noble were just thrown together and they established a collective gimmick. Same thing happened with New Age Outlaws. Gunn and Road had no singles direction going for them until Russo made them a team. The difference is obviously, the NAO were more successful than the Pitbulls.Thing is Carlito and Chavo have something in common; being hispanic: which is a step up from Hardy/Khali and Haas/Knox. Plus they team before and I saw some relatively decent chemistry between the two.

Eddie Guerrero's pinky had more talent than Carlito though :(

Anyway, yeah, obviously the majority of the WWE storylines right now suck, and they only have one or two super workers. My point however is that it's obviously possible to put together really super fucking awesome angles without relying on ladders, blood, and naughty language.
