Gotta say, the card for Armageddon looks stacked. Very mighty Fatal 4-Way elimination match, but I can only truly see Triple H or Chris Jericho coming out on top. Unless we're in for a transitional reign prior to the Royal Rumble, I just can't see it. That said, it is interesting though - particularly the use of the elimination stipulation.
A lot of detail here which is really nice to see to provide context. It demonstrates how well produced everything has been on the build from Survivor Series to here.
As someone who once did a WWE 2010 and had Evan Bourne challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam, I totally support the idea of him as a contender to Sheamus. The World Heavyweight Championship at this stage is absolutely the second-tier title, which is not a bad shout. I reckon inside the steel cage these two would have a killer match.
Beth Phoenix and Mickie James always had good matches, so this was a safe bet for the WWE Divas Championship match on a pay-per-view in this era.
John Cena and Randy Orton in a Falls Count Anywhere match...anyone seen this done before?
The Undertaker and Christian is a wild match, especially with the First Blood stipulation. I guess it makes sense, and you are clearly trying to build Christian up on a major level. I could see him slipping through the cracks and getting a cheap win here.
Dolph Ziggler and Daniel Bryan for the WWE Intercontinental Championship straight up gives me Bragging Rights 2010 vibes. Absolutely no complaints here - it was one of the things that truly put Ziggler on the map for me.
I'm normally against the idea of WWE Cruiserweight Championship revivals, but here I really don't mind. It gets some of the younger, smaller guys on the big card. As forgettable and uninteresting as I found Richie Steamboat, Kaval and Tyson Kidd have something to do. This division existing in this period is fascinating because there is a lost era of smaller dudes who never made it past the WWE Superstars/later Main Event level.
I like the idea of the Lumberjack match between Edge and CM Punk, based on the idea of faction warfare being apparent.
I think what's most fascinating to me is what the match order will be, given you have so many key matches. Surely one or even two have to fall into that "filler" spot or be a red herring for an angle - that or risk being propped in the "death slot" on the card. Either way, looking forward to it after the strong write-up that was Survivor Series.
