The first match that was confirmed for the 30th annual WWE Survivor Series pay per view event was a non-title champion versus champion match. Between the current WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins(c) and the current WWE Champion AJ Styles(c).

Roman Reigns(c) V Apollo Crews(c)
The second match announced for the event was another non-title champion versus champion. This time between the midcard champions of both RAW and Smackdown, Roman Reigns (U.S Champion) taking on Apollo Crews (Intercontinental Champion).

What to get when you have the current WWE RAW Women’s Champion Paige(c) and her Smackdown counterpart Becky Lynch(c)? You get the third non-title champion versus champion match announced for the 2016 WWE Survivor Series ppv.

The fourth and final non-title champion versus champion match announced for the event would see the Good Brothers (Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows) aka the current WWE RAW Tag Team Champion taking on the WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champions aka American Alpha (Chad Gable & Jason Jordan)

At WrestleMania XX in 2004, Goldberg and Brock Lesnar faced off for the first time and it was considered a bad match. However 12 years later it was announced that we would be getting the belated sequel


Clash of the Cruiserweights
It was announced that the current WWE Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander(c) would attempt to defend his title in a Cruiserweight Open match at the event.​

What a way to open the WWE Survivor Series pay per view, a ten man showcase of the company’s cruiserweight division, with the WWE Cruiserweight Championship on the line. Two things were crystal clear: the first that the current champion Cedric Alexander had a one in ten chance at retaining and two this match would be utter pandemonium. When it was all said and done and the dust had settled and every man had gotten a shot at showing what they brought to the game, it would be Alexander who pinned Lun to retain his title.

Now a lot of y’all would probably assume that the “Big Dog” dominated this match and it was a straight up squash in his favor and you would be wrong haha. Don’t get me wrong, Reigns got the win with the Spear but the match was a forty/sixty split up until that point, the 40 belonging to Crews and the 60 to Reigns.

Next was the second of four non-title champion(s) vs champion(s) matches when each brand's tag team champions faced off. The WWE RAW Tag Team Champions the Good Brothers (Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows)(c) were accompanied by their stablemate Finn Balor as they took on the Smackdown counterparts American Alpha (Chad Gable & Jason Jordan)(c). Balor would repeatedly interfere over the duration of the match and all of it was unseen by the ref, so Gable got off the apron and brawled with him but this left Jordan to a two on one situation. Anderson & Gallows took full advantage of the situation by beating him down in the ring and hitting the Magic Killer for the pin.

After that the only women’s match of the event took place when the WWE RAW Women’s Champion Paige(c) took on WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch(c) in a non-title champion versus champion match. In this first time ever meeting both women left it all in the ring and it looked like Lynch would force her opponent to tap out to the Dis-Arm-Her. Yet it wasn’t to be as the “Anti-Diva” aka Paige would reverse the pressure into a pinning situation for the three count.

Finally the main event saw the WWE Champion AJ Styles(c) go one on one with the WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins(c) in a non-title champion versus champion match. The conclusion of the match saw Rollins attempt to throw Styles out of the ring only for the latter to catch themselves on the ring apron, then immediately attempted his Phenomenal Forearm finisher. Only for Rollins to catch him and then turn the move into a Buckle Bomb and then attempted and successfully followed it up with the Curb Stomp for the pin.

WWE Championship - Steel Cage Match
AJ Styles(c) V Dean Ambrose(c)
At the No Mercy ppv event AJ Styles defeated John Cena and the then WWE Undisputed World Heavyweight Champion Dean Ambrose(c) to capture the title for the first time in his short career in the WWE. It was announced by the general manager of Friday Night Smackdown Daniel Bryan that both Styles and Ambrose would compete in a Steel Cage match for the title at the Armageddon ppv.

On the November 15th episode of Friday Night Smackdown the current WWE Intercontinental Champion Apollo Crews(c) successfully retained his title against The Miz and Dolph Ziggler in a triple threat match. After the match he was confronted by John Cena who stated that he had never won the IC championship in his career and would love an opportunity to rectify that, Crews agreed to the match for the ppv.

Smackdown GM Daniel Bryan announced a six pack elimination match would take place at the Armageddon pay per view event to crown a new number one contender to the WWE Intercontinental Championship. However the six superstars involved would have to qualify first, in a series of one on one matches. Kalisto beat Zack Ryder, Baron Corbin beat Mojo Rawley, Jack Swagger beat Kane, Heath Slater beat the Miz, Randy Orton beat Curt Hawkins and Rhino beat Dolph Ziggler.

On an episode of Friday Night Smackdown Alexa Bliss beat Natalya Neidhart and Naomi to earn a shot at Armageddon for the WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship.

It was announced that the current WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champions Chad Gable & Jason Jordan aka American Alpha(c) would defend their titles in a four way tag team match. Against the three teams of Breezango, The Ascension and The Wyatt Family at the event.

Cedric Alexander(c) retained the WWE Cruiserweight Championship against Neville and Mustafa Alia, pinning the latter with Apocalypse of Alexander.


The Wyatt Family (Erick Rowan & Luke Harper) defeated American Alpha, The Ascension and Breezango to win the WWE SD Tag Team Championships.
Harper got the pin for his team after he laid waste to one half of the defending champions Jason Jordan with a Discus Lariat.


Kalisto won a six pack elimination match to become the number one contender to the WWE Intercontinental Championship. The other five men involved in the match were Heath Slater, Rhino, Jack Swagger, Baron Corbin and Randy Orton.

Alexa Bliss beat Becky Lynch(c) with Twisted Bliss to win the WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship.


John Cena defeated Apollo Crews in an awesome penultimate match to capture the WWE Intercontinental Championship for the first time in his career.


Finally AJ Styles(c) retained his WWE Undisputed Heavyweight Championship against Dean Ambrose in one hell of a main event. Post-Match Bray Wyatt attacked Styles and left him laying with a Sister Abigail to close the show.​

ROAD TO WWE END OF THE LINE

It was announced that the current WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins(c) & the current WWE United States Champion Roman Reigns(c) would defend their titles against Jeri-KO at WWE End of the Line.

Charlotte Flair defeated Sasha Banks and Bayley on an episode of Monday Night RAW to become the number one contender to the WWE RAW Women’s Championship.

The Prime Time Players (Darren Young & Titus O’Neil) earned a shot at the WWE RAW Tag Team Championships at the ppv, after Young beat Karl Anderson(c) and O’Neill beat Luke Gallows(c) on consecutive episodes of Monday Night RAW.

A fatal four way match between Braun Strowman, Mark Henry, Rusev and Kofi Kingston was announced for the event as a way to crown the next in line for a shot at the WWE U.S Championship.

It was announced that the Bar’s Cesaro and Sheamus would compete against the New Day’s Big E & Xavier Woods at the event to crown the next in line for a shot at the WWE RAW Tag Team Championships.

The final match announced for the WWE End of the Line ppv was a one on one match match for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. Between the defending champion Cedric Alexander & Sami Zayn​

WWE End of the Line 2016

“InZayn” Sami Zayn opened the last WWE RAW pay per view event of 2016 by defeating Cedric Alexander(c) with the Blue Thunder Bomb to claim the WWE Cruiserweight Championship.

The “Monster Among Men” Braun Strowman beat Kofi Kingston, Rusev and Mark Henry to earn a future shot at the WWE U.S Championship. He hit the “Roar of the Monster” (Running Powerslam) on Henry for the pin.

Cesaro got the pin on Big E with a Cesaro Bomb to earn him and Sheamus aka the Bar a future shot at the WWE RAW Tag Team Championships.

The Good Brothers (Karl Anderon & Luke Gallows)(c) successfully retained their WWE RAW Tag Team Championships against the Prime Time Players (Darren Young & Titus O’Neil). They did that by isolating O’Neil and hitting the Magic Killer with Anderson getting the pin.

Charlotte Flair defeated the “Anti-Diva” Paige(c) to claim the WWE RAW Women’s Championship.

In the main event the team of the WWE Universal & WWE United States Champions Seth Rollins(c) & Roman Reigns(c) attempted to defend their titles against Jeri-KO (Chris Jericho & Kevin Owens). The ending of the match saw Reigns hit a mid-air Spear on Jericho who was attempting a Lionsault on Rollins. Only for Owens to come in and throw Reigns out of the ring. Rollins nailed a Buckle Bomb on Owens only to be rolled up from behind by Jericho for the pin.
