It does feel lackluster. I thought maybe it was just me and my deteriorating love for wrestling but I’m not hype for this at all

I used lackluster bc I think most of the matches are gonna deliver fine its just I don't care about them like at all, the build up has all been so basic and hasn't got me excited about anything

Only thing remotely interesting IMO is Bliss/Rousey. And I don’t expect anything great out of that. But everything else seems...recycled.

And I know it’s wrestling and everything is recycled but I’ve seen enough Brock/Roman and Seth/Dolph that I feel like I can skip this show and not miss anything.

Now if Braun were to drop the briefcase to KO then at least there’d be a somewhat interesting wrinkle but that’s unlikely

Look at the card on paper and see nothing but good matches....but you watch the build up and you don't care.

Match quality don't mean shit....eat that Meltzer marks.

Tv ratings not being as important has made them care a lot less about weekly shows and they're just trying to get as much content out there with the network but I think we've all said the past few months that quality > quantity and we don't need this fucking 6 hour summerslam that no one cares about

People watch 6 hours of people talking about football, or hours and hours of tennis and golf.

I'll take Summerslam over that

Even if it’s something you enjoy, personally I think 6 hours straight of anything is excessive.

There are people out there that will watch the LOTR or TDK trilogies in succession and I could never imagine some shit like that

People binge on Netflix.

Not exactly a new thing.

Not the same thing. The fans of Tennis and Golf know that those sports have typically long matches and they enjoy them for that. They can drift in and out of those sports and take breaks when nothing's happening. With wrestling people are used to a 3 or 4 hour PPV's with the matches coming regular. If the product was red hot like in the late 90's people wouldn't have a problem with it. But when things ain't so great - less is more.

Pretty much agree with @Chris about the card as a whole. But who knows they might surprise me. I remember the last Survivor Series being much better than I expected.

Saying wrestling fans can't do that is preposterous...if a match is shitty I'm going to leave the room and do something else.

If my kids don't come out in their hard foundation inspired attire. I might have to dump them.

For like and hour or so.
