Dean Ambrose will leave the WWE in April. In this picture, Ambrose celebrates victory over the Miz during the WWE show at Zenith Arena in Lille, France, May 9, 2017.

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) continues to turn heads of World Wrestling Entertainment stars with Wrestling Observer Newsletter (WON) reporting that a number of pro-wrestlers from the latter are looking to jump ship. There are quite a few wrestlers reaching the end of their WWE contracts and could make the move to the new promotion.

AEW is backed by Pakistani-American billionaire Shahid Khan and his son Tony, who is the founder of the new promotion. There is proof it can match WWE in terms of offering lucrative contracts, after WWE veterans Chris Jericho and Jim Ross confirmed that they had received the best offers of their careers thus far from AEW.

All the attention was on WrestleMania, which took place at the MetLife Stadium on April 7 and was a resounding hit. WWE will be the most popular wrestling promotion around the world for a long time to come, but its dominance in North America is certainly being threatened by the promotion that started out in January.

AEW’s first live event — “Double or Nothing” — will take place May 25 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and the new promotion’s popularity became clear when it sold all the tickets to the event in under five minutes. And according to WON, there are a number of WWE stars looking toward AEW for a potential better role than they currently have with WWE.

“Several WWE Superstars waiting for contracts to be up to sign with AEW,” WON reported. "There are a few who are tight with AEW management or who are really into wanting to be featured and create a legacy of being top stars and feel that’s not going to happen with them on the main roster who have at least some interest.

“There are also some in NXT who feel they are more likely to be used well in AEW than the main roster who have expressed interest. A few are leaning toward going when their deals are up, and others are taking a wait-and-see."

Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows are among the wrestlers waiting for their contracts with WWE to expire before making a decision on their next step. Meanwhile, Dean Ambrose will leave WWE after deciding not to re-sign with the company but his future remains unclear.

Slice Wrestling, however, is reporting that the former Shield member has a lucrative offer on the table from AEW. It is said to be $6 million per year with an easier schedule and it is also much more than what Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins are currently earning with WWE.

Ambrose is expected to take a long break from the WWE and is expected to make a decision on his future in the coming months. There is also a possibility that he will re-sign with the WWE.

Flaunt it if you got it. I'd say this is AEW trying to send a message with a big contract and if they're able to handle Dean like a star, that will be something that any discontent WWE superstar has to consider.

I honestly think Dean is gonna take a longer hiatus away from wrestling than people think. It wouldn't surprise me if Roman and Seth convinced him to come back down the line and gets a bigger offer than usual cause I see some of these guys leveraging using AEW to get better deals

If this is true, this company is going to shut the bed completely by throwing money away like that.....also would breed locker room jealousy from the guys who already signed.

Then again. ...who the fuck is this source?

Yeah he's said before he wanted to retire early, I really think he might be done awhile and might nevere be anywhere full time again.

If this "report" is true tho I could definitely see that much money and the easier schedule convincing him otherwise
