It doesn't help that he didn't do shit on the main roster for almost a year before the Cena feud even happened. Don't think the Cena feud did him any favors, but that purgatory before it may have hurt him more.

WWE had a bad habit of just bringing in guys and giving them squashes for way too long before doing something real with them at that time, Ryback was the same way

Brodus Clay too, not like I'm a big fan of him or anything but I mean shit he wasn't gonna get over squashing people for a whole ass year

I feel pretty good about Bray's chances of regaining the Universal Championship from Braun.

He's got a shot at least, I'll give him that

Bray needs a second run with the belt. A proper run.

I mean, it would be very classic WWE to have Bray continue to lose every meaningful match he has. But idk. Things feel a little different this time. I think they'll have Smackdown be "his show" for a while, seeing as how he's one of their biggest merch movers (if not the biggest).

But again, wouldn't be shocked if he just loses again and again.

You also gotta factor in that Braun wasn't ever meant to be champion so I think that makes it likelier Bray gets it back, though they're stretching it longer than I expected. Don't think that's necessarily bad though

Someone in the thread said Bray might lose to Braun as his classic incarnation first before the Fiend probably beats him and I think that's likely

I doubt I enjoy the matches much but I do think I'll enjoy Bray's segments at least

Nah I mean Braun shoulda had a run a lot sooner than this. In fact, he got the belt at what felt like one of the low points in his career, in terms of momentum and fanfare. But good that he got it and I'm all for letting him keep it for a few months to help solidify him in that spot. And I say that, while not being much of a fan of the guy.

Truthfully I wouldn't be surprised to see Bray win the belt back, and then Braun regain it from Bray. Trade the belt back and forth a bit. Throw an Otis reign in there somewhere.

I actually don't know how the IWC would take that so it could be a lot of fun
