WWE Smackdown Spoilers for Friday

[Andrew]

*Randy Orton defeated Cody Rhodes in an awesome Street Fight following a hanging DDT on the outside off the barricade to the floor and then an RKO inside the ring. This was a great brawl through the crowd with Rhodes' mask being used as a weapon. Orton bagged Rhodes after.


*Ted DiBiase defeated Tyson Kidd.


*World champion Mark Henry was interviewed backstage. He began bullying Daniel Bryan, mocking his Money In The Bank briefcase, saying Bryan could never beat him. He challenged Bryan to wrestle him tonight and Bryan accepted.

*Alicia Fox pinned Natalya.

*Big Show comes out and says he's going to knock out Mark Henry once for every week of Dmackdown where their business goes unfinished. Christian comes out and says Show had his chance and failed. He insults the South (Show is originally from Aiken, SC). Show acts like he was going to KO Christian, then promises he won't. Instead he chokeslams him and leaves him laying.

*Sheamus comes out for his scheduled match against Christian but he's out from the chokeslam.

Wade Barrett comes out and offers to replace him and they ring the bell.

*Barrett pinned Sheamus with a roll up after Christian distracted him. Christian was outside from the chokeslam the entire bout. Sheamus tries to get Barrett after the bout but Christian spears him,
After a break, we see Sheamus brawling backstage with Christian and Barrett until they are all separated by security.

*Backstage, Big Show tells Daniel Bryan to take special care of his briefcase, because Show will be in his corner tonight against Mark Henry.

*Sin Cara vs. the debuting Epico from WWE developmental. Hunico interferes and they double team Cara. They nailed a double team move but messed it up and did it again. That'll be edited.

*World champion Mark Henry defeated Daniel Bryan by DQ when Big Show interfered and knocked out Henry. Bryan acts like he might cash in but is nailed by Henry and hit with the World's Strongest Slam. Henry nailed Show with the briefcase. No cashing in.

Afterward, Teddy Long announced Show vs. Henry for Survivor Series and we end with a staredown.​

- I hear the street fight was very very good, I'll watch. Wonder where now for Rhodes though.

- DiBiase squashing Kidd, both are hardly used on Smackdown these days.

- Alicia Fox on some sort of push? WOW!

- Nice segment between Christian/Big Show (Could these two feud after SS?)

- We get Barrett vs. Sheamus instead with Barrett actually winning thanks to Christian! Great move! Pushing everyone at the right time.

- Epico debut? Nice to see Hunico/Sin Cara continue. Yes, I believe Hunico is still unmasked.

- Nice tease at the end!

Well the whole water part by show just strikes me as odd. Also don't like Sheamus vs. Barrett yet think both guys could benefit more from a program with a name as opposed to going at each other because it'll destroy one's push while the others skyrockets and personally I'd rather see them both excel.

Looks decent enough, I'll give it a watch. Like Epico and Hunico being together.

 

[Troy]

Yay the IC champion gets beaten yet again in a non-title match! Now people aren't going to believe that Rhodes can beat Orton and I don't know why they are making this feud so one sided.

Ted DiBiase is on television and he won!

Wade Barrett winning again is great. Really liking that he is getting a push again and I hope it continues all the way to the mainevent. Doesn't hurt Sheamus either as Christian distracted him and then they continue their storyline with the post match brawl.

EPICO DEBUTS! I am really happy about this I wanted Hunico and Epico together but I would have been happy with the Colons as a team as well. Either way he is finally on the main roster and we have another tag team.

Liking the Daniel Bryan appearances on this show. The wwe.com promo was just the start, then they added him to the WM card already and now his push starts. Get ready for Bryan to become a maineventer before WM next year.

Show vs. Henry for the title again at Survivor Series I like, they should be able to continue where they left off before the ring collapsed.

Really wish Sheamus was doing more than he is. Guy has gotten over pretty well as a face and should be doing a more storyline based feud. Bout time they start pushing Bryan and the case. Hopefully this isn't just a one week thing and they keep it up with him being a main part of the show. Don't have to have him go on winning streaks or something but give him a chance to get back over again cause he has lost his stream as far as being over from when he came back to WWE.

 

[Troy]

With Sheamus I think that they are stuck for opponents for him. He can't challenge Henry yet as he is already in a feud with Show that has yet to end and after Henry there aren't many top heels on Smackdown other than Christian. Hopefully Barrett continues to be pushed so that once Sheamus has finished with Christian he can face Barrett.

I am just happy to see Bryan on the show with his MITB briefcase and wrestling a top name again. They can take their time with him and they just need to give him some time on every show whether it is a match or just a promo. Put his face out there again so fans remember who he is and they can start cheering him again.
