* Daniel Bryan comes out to kick off SmackDown. He cuts a promo and is very over with the crowd. Kane comes out and Bryan says he's breaking up Team Hell No so he can be tag champions with Randy Orton. Kane says they won't win. Bryan asks if it's because Kane thinks he's the weakest link. Kane chokes Bryan and Orton comes out to stop him. Orton says if Kane hurts Bryan, he hurts his team for Sunday. Orton threatens to RKO Kane. Bryan says he doesn't need help. The Shield appears on the big screen and laughs. They love the problems going on in the ring. SmackDown goes to commercial.

* Sheamus vs. Antonio Cesaro is next. Cesaro comes out and says he will play host to Sheamus' Irish wake. Sheamus wins the match with a Brogue Kick. Sheamus suffered a nasty gash in his back after being thrown into the steel steps.

* As Sheamus is leaving, Damien Sandow attacks him from behind on the entrance ramp.

* Heath Slater beat The Great Khali after hitting a DDT. 3MB distracted Khali and Hornswoggle was involved.

* Alberto Del Rio and Chris Jericho defeated Dolph Ziggler and Big E Langston when Del Rio pinned Ziggler.

* Chris Jericho is backstage talking about his match against CM Punk but is interrupted by Paul Heyman. Jericho says the match will be a rare one and will exceed expectations.

* Aksana vs. Kaitlyn is up next. Kaitlyn slaps the referee and Aksana runs away. No winner is announced.

* Curtis Axel vs. Wade Barrett is up next. Barrett says they could get hurt so they should wait and fight on Sunday at Payback. The Miz comes out and says everyone wants to see them fight now. Axel pins Barrett to win the match. Miz lays out Axel with a Skull Crushing Finale after the match.

* Randy Orton, Kane and Daniel Bryan beat Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose in the main event. Bryan made Rollins tap out to get the win. Lilian Garcia made an announcement that it was the first time The Shield has ever been defeated in six-man action.

Great go-home show.

Slater beating Khali, that's two wins this week for Slater!

Glad Axel got a clean pin and :mark: BRYAN!

Should have saved the Shield's first 6 man loss for PPV. They built that up too well for it to just end on a taped show. I'm sure the match was at least pretty good though.

I couldn't agree anymore with you. I think it's a bit ridiculous to have them lose on Smackdown. Not to knock Smackdown or anything, but they have built this team up that it sort of makes this run look weak now a little bit. They better do justice at Payback so they can keep their momentum going!

In their defense, they did lose to the ASS KICKER Daniel Bryan.

Also given the fact they've played Bryan as the 'Weakest Link' and him being the person that has pinned THE SHIELD and giving them his first defeat...

I'm all for The Shield losing, especially if all their build was just to put Bryan over even more as a badass. Seriously WWE had better not screw this push up, they are onto a goldmine right now with him, the likes of which they haven't seen for years and years.

I actually like the fact that The Shield's first loss occured on Smackdown. I agree that it would have made more sense to have it occur on PPV but at least they finally had something major happen on Smackdown rather than giving everything to RAW. WWE need to do this more often to encourage more people to tune into Smackdown each week rather than making it so obvious that it is the clear number two show.

It was good to see Bryan get the win by submission as well rather than making it a quick roll-up or a cheap win like that. I hope that WWE don't screw up what they currently have in Bryan, they need to keep him as his is and not decide that he must be a full blown heel to get to the mainevent.

That 6-man was FUCKING AWESOME! And I'm okay with The Shield having their first loss like that just because of how great the match was and the crowd made it seem like it was bigger just just something on Smackdown. THIS FUCKING DANIEL BRYAN GUY!

While I still feel it should have went down on PPV it did come off a lot better seeing then reading about it. The way the match ended was just amazing and it came off as a borderline special Smackdown moment. Bryan is pretty hot right and hopefully they don't screw it up.

It's to generate PPV buys.

Gotta get the marks wanting to see a major heel faction to implode.
